Such kind folks here. I got my kitten Mr Jackson a week ago from the humane society. He developed some sort or respiratory issue 7 days later. These folks took him in on a Saturday and took excellent care of him. Highly recommend them kind, caring and I never felt as if the Vet had to run off to see another pet.

Absolutely the best emergency pet care we have ever received! On New Year’s morning we noticed our Pomeranian was acting very lethargic and just not herself. At first we thought she was just tired and “not feeling good” and would probably …

I took my dog in last night at about 11:00 and Dr Tenwolde and Carrie the vet tech were awesome in getting my boy in and out and analyzed, keeping me posted every step of the way. It’s nice having an emergency vet you can depend on without driving for hours.

Incredibly kind and tentative staff! Took my 4 month old puppy in for an emergency, he had an obstruction in his stomach, and they tended to him immediately! They came out to the car, carried my little boy in and was back out in less than a hour. I was so worried about him and the techs were so understanding and really helped calm my nerves. Would absolutely recommend bringing your animals here, so kind and give amazing care!

It’s 4am on Dec 19. My dog is having issues. I’ve been with her all day watching for improvement. I called your company Dec 18 and had very good customer service. At 3am (my dog hasn’t slept at all) I decide to visit your business. To the person working tonight - I don’t know what personal problems you are going through but your rude behavior was not warranted. First when I call and ask for directions please provide. Don’t try to dissuade me to wait until 8 am. 2. You should never tell anyone to “calm down”. I am not calm obviously. I’m at emergency services at 3am! I also was not out of control. I didn’t realize it was not ok to have your voice shaking and be teary when calling you for help. So I did say “you are so rude”. Because quite frankly I was shocked at how you were treating me. So after you hand up on me -which I don’t blame you for- you refuse my dog help. So I’m back at my house and as soon as I can get another human to go with me I’ll be trekking to Savannah. I had heard such great things about this place. Truly disappointed- and mad at myself that I said you were rude (although true) because now my sidekick will continue to suffer. Edit December 20 605 AM. I took my sidekick, my best little friend ,to Savannah emergency. They had to put her immediately to sleep. Crushing.

Thank you soo very much to the team at Carolina Veterinary Critical Care! Our 13yr old Irish Setter declined rapidly and his vet on the island was no-where to be found (after promising they would be this weekend).... From our initial phone call, received by Dr. Lane~ Carla, the vet tech who greeted us~ Dr. Tenwolde who made Baileys' experience painless and loving! WE APPRECIATE YOU!!

On Vacation our beloved pup ate something and quickly fell very ill and needed immediate hospitalization. I cannot be more grateful for everyone who cared for our Vienna.Every staff member I spoke to, Nicole, Sarah, Dr Matt, etc. was compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, kind and above all patient. I am so blessed to have found your hospital. You saved Vivi's life. Words cannot express our gratitude. Thank u forever.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Tenwolde. I have many dogs in my life and had to put them to sleep. Although I’ve never had a bad experience elsewhere I can say with all honesty that this Dr was the kindest ever. He slowly sedated my dog Nike so the transition from life to the beyond was seamless. He but her in a comfortable position so that she didn’t fall over or flinch. I would highly recommend him to all. god bless you Dr Tenwolde.

If I could give six stars I would ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ There we go. Phenomenal service and care - found kitten earlier today and found that it was infested with ticks. Did our best to get some of them off but after seeing that there was at least 50-100 I felt like we should get consultation and it turns out this place is .4 miles from my house! They gave us free medicine to kill off the rocks and lots of useful information. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

My little guy ate something he shouldn't have and I was completely put at ease by the staff here. They took wonderful care of him, were very communicative, and gave very clear instructions for his aftercare. He's much better and I'm very grateful! The hope is to not need any urgent care for our pets. In the case that you do, this is your place!

Brought my Sadie Mae in a few weeks ago and Dr. Matt Tenwolde removed her spleen and a tumor that night. So glad they opened an emergency vet here in Bluffton. The staff are so caring and very helpful. AND Sadie felt so much better right away. She is back to her old very happy self, and we are very thankful for it!!

Unfortunately, we lost our dog Dewey but in a difficult time I was so appreciative to have the staff of Carolina Veterinary. Dr. Matt is outstanding. He was so kind and explained everything, several times until we understood. Dr. Matt personally came out to get Dewey from the car as soon as we got there. Dewey had a seizure that would not stop. It was a very difficult time. Everyone in the office was so kind and empathetic. I will be switching my other dogs to be seen here. It is worth the drive from Beaufort. Thank you again for your kindness.

I'm so glad this place opened! We were in Beaufort from out of town and realized our older dog aggravated a previous eye injury Sunday morning. Our friends we are visiting told us the closest 24 hour clinic was in Charleston - an hour and a half away! I did a quick Google search and realized this new clinic had just opened that was only 40 minutes from where we were. The staff were excellent to deal with, and did a good job communicating to me what I should expect after they took my dog inside while I waited in my car. Despite being an emergency clinic where the doctor's time is in high demand, he took the time to talk through the go home instructions with me and answer all of my questions before releasing my dog...he also said that he was a VERY good boy - I'm sure he says that to all the patients but I still appreciated it! ☺️ Pricing was reasonable for an emergency, but I would have paid anything for my dog to be seen on a Sunday. Pets are triaged by priority of emergency on arrival, so you may have a wait if a more critical case comes in at the same time or right after you.
