Super friendly, very clean and extremely professional

They too such good care of our older dog! She needed some teeth removed and they made sure she wasn't over sedated and kept her pain controlled

My previous 1-Star review was written shortly after new owner, Dr. Hawkins, had assumed the business from Dr. Wilkes. I think he had start up problems. This edit earns him 5-Stars. He and his administrative the technician staff are empathetic, knowledgeable, professional and very accommodating to our aged cats. He has vastly improved the entry to the building. I leave the previous review as a reminder that all businesses can improve. The new owner, Dr. Hawkins, has underwhelmed me. I had taken my business to Dr. Wilkes, the former owner, for 40 years and are changing vets. Two reasons force this change. (1) A simple request to order special dietary food has been ignored. My 1st call for this the receptionist answered and immediately put me on Hold. I hung up after 5 minutes. The 2nd call, same response, I waited 9 minutes and hung up. The 3rd call, exactly the same response but I said No, no Hold, and was told they are understaffed so I gave her my phone to call back. None was received. (2) One of my older cats has had multiple skin lessons, and Dr. Hawkins diagnosed the problem, without even looking at her, as being skin tags. I expected more. It is sad to see a successful practice deteriorate so badly.

I’ve been taking my dog Chaz there since he was 8 weeks old. The entire staff is awesome and they’re reasonably priced.

Dr Hawkins and Dr Weise are wonderful. They've taken excellent care of my dog for several years, through sudden and long term illnesses. Whenever I had an emergency I was always able to be seen ASAP. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful at all times. Everyone there has worked with me so much and I appreciate all of it. Thank you for everything you've done for Charlie and I!

Westside Animal Hospital and their staff are the best. Professional, personable, and caring. They go above and beyond to make sure all of my pets are well taken care of. They always give it to me straight and in the most understanding, encouraging and compassionate way. They have always been able to quickly figure out and fix any issues with my pets, cats and dogs. They work hard to keep my cost as low as possible and they are always there with support for any questions or concerns I have, no matter how long it takes, how many times I call or ask the same questions repeatedly until I understand. They always make time to get me in when it's an emergency. I trust them for all of my pets health needs. The girls at the front desk deserve a lot of Kudos as well! They are friendly, remember who I am when I call and even when they are super busy still make it a point to take the time to understand and help me with my pets needs in the most friendly caring, and not in a rush, way. Every single person that works at Westside are unsung pet heroes in my opinion. If you need a Vet this is the place to go! Thank you guys, I appreciate you! I am Very Thankful for each of you and the service you provide.

Great. They provide great service and pet care

Loved the staff. They were so patient with my hyper loves everyone dog, and my extremely anxious dog. Doc was very friendly and really good with my boys

They're super attentive, listen to my concerns, worked me in last minute with an emergency, and thoroughly explained everything. Shout out to Britney and Craig and the Doc!! Thank u soooooooo much

This was Bellas 1st vet visit, and she did sooo well and the nurse and Dr.Hawkins treated Bella like she was there own!! Thanks sooo much and we definitely found a vet for our baby!!!????????????????

We have always gone there for all of our pets. And will continue to do so. The staff is so friendly and they really get to know you and the animals. Highly recommend.

What can I say. It's a great place for my cat pals, the staff is thorough, patient and kind. Clean, organized, and newly renovated exam rooms, my dudes don't even seem stressed when were there. We've had shots, spays, neuters, intestinal emergencies, boarding advice, and even some help over the phone. You can bet on seeing the same staff every visit too. They will return your call, verify appointments and follow up as well. I love these guys and appreciate all they do for Mr. Pips, Dinky and Birdie.

Dr. Hawkins was great with our new rescue dog. Our dog is extremely skittish, and Dr. Hawkins and his staff were very gentle and patient with him. They were reasonably priced and answered all of our questions (and we had quite a few). We ended up leaving about 15 minutes after their normal closing time, but definitely did not feel rushed. I appreciate that they took the time to make our dog comfortable and give him good care instead of just getting us out the door. Dr. Hawkins was very knowledgeable and I am glad we chose to take our pet here. It is also nice that they are open until 5:30 some days, and also half days on Saturdays!

Very impressed with this vet. They are extremely kind and compassionate. Also, efficient and professional. I would recommend! The doctor also gave my elderly English Bulldog medication samples for his arthritis so I could try it before buying. The techs and the receptionists were also super sweet and attentive.

The best veterinarians and staff. I appreciate every single one, especially Dr. Weiss and Brittany. Thank you for everything! I knew Eek was in great hands.????

They always took such wonderful care of my little tiny poodle ! They cared about him and they cared about me! I was always always happy with everything they did. All in all they were the kindest best group to work with!!

Dr. Hawkins and his team at Westside Animal Hospital provide the best veterinary services in Augusta - hands down. Dr. Hawkins is a brilliant vet, and has a great bedside manner. Our little guy is never nervous going to see them and is well cared for. Big thanks to Westside Animal Hospital, and I HIGHLY recommend them!
