D'Tails Pet Grooming Augusta, Georgia

What a wonderful place. We have been taking our Izzie for years, play dates, baths, grooming and even boarding one time. Only place I would trust her care. Izzie is going to have sister in about 3 weeks we will be taking Margaret Ann ( Annie.) to meet her new friends at D' Tails.

We tried D'Tails Pet Grooming for the 1st time recently. I had gotten a recommendation for Samantha so thought we'd give it a try. We drove over an hour to reach their destination. We have 2 Australian Shepherds who do not particularly enjoy going to the groomers, but Samantha eased our minds as she was cheerful and very welcoming to the dogs. Four hours later we picked them up and they both looked great. They were cut according to breed standard with a little shorter at the skirt area, just like we requested. Samantha clearly understands dog's personality and how to work around their anxieties. Although the cost was a little on the high side, both dogs looked great and we would definitely recommend D'Tails.

My baby has been going here all 9 years of her life. This is her second home. I love it that I know she's safe whether it's for a 3hrs play date or a 3 day long trip! Affordable and safe... fun for your fur babies!

We dropped off our two dogs for the second time and it was okay. The first time we went, we were called when the dogs were finished plus the dogs smelled amazing. This time though, we were never called so we had to check ourselves. The dogs were definitely cleaned and groomed to perfection, but there was no scent sprayed on them. Overall though we are satisfied and will keep going back every few months. The dogs may not always enjoy going, but they do look a lot better afterwards

They do good work, but if you have dogs with anxiety I wouldn't bring them here. This is the only groomer where my dog had the worst experience. They don't accommodate and/or have the knowledge to properly take care of dogs with anxiety. I wanted him to have a good pampering day but it turned out to be the complete opposite. I told them and wrote it on the paperwork, and it seems they didn't pay any mind to it. Hopefully my dog will trust a groomer again.

Scheduled my appointment for this past Saturday three weeks ago and was happy to wait that time after reading the wonderful reviews for this business. However I received a call Friday night at 5:45pm informing me that they were understaffed and would have to reschedule. Was told the next availability was 2 weeks later…. I don’t think so. You don’t wait until the night before my appointment, after all the other grooming businesses in the area have closed for the night and my plans have been built around this appointment for several weeks now, to call and tell me after waiting 3 weeks that I will have to wait another 2 to get my dog in. As a healthcare worker, I fully understand how COVID affects business during this time and if you have to cancel us on account of that, that is fine. BUT a little transparency and consideration would be nice. My fiancé left a review Friday night and the response from the owner was “I’m sorry you felt the need to leave a 1 star review”. What you SHOULD be sorry about is the fact that you screwed us over by waiting until the last minute to tell us you will not be servicing us. Unprofessional. Inconsiderate. Lazy. A simply apology over the phone when we got the initial call would have taken you far but we can now conclude after the response you left that you could care less and we should take our business elsewhere. That is what we will do, and if you’re a customer reading this, I suggest you do too.

Its called pet grooming but dont do cats the name should be Dtails dog grooming just saying cats are pets too

We had an appointment scheduled for three weeks. The staff decided to call us at 5:45 the night before our 8:30 scheduled appointment to tell us that they were canceling our time slot. The next closest appointment is now two weeks out and they didn’t seem sorry in the slightest. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. If you want reliable business take your pet elsewhere. If I could rate them lower than one star I would, they don’t even deserve a single one.

I just called to ask if they shave cats and was told that wasn't a service offered. I asked if they knew any groomers who do and I got an answer. Super friendly customer service on the phone. If I needed my cats nails trimmed I would bring them here for sure.

The absolute best groomers! I’ve had some failed attempts with other places because she’s always so scared. They always get the job done! Highly recommend. I have a mini schnauzer who’s not the easiest to deal with

We moved to Georgia in December and have brought our poodle max here for grooming 3 times so far! He always looks amazing and he absolutely loves having play dates while waiting his turn. While I am extremely impressed with his grooming that is not the main reason I am writing this review. I am writing this because I wanted to share how amazing Tracey and her staff are when it comes to caring for our dogs! Without boring anyone with full details I can say for certain that Tracey absolutely cares about the health and safety of our fur babies in her care! She goes above and beyond! If you are looking for a groomer whom cares for your pets like you do look no further then D’Tails! Max and I couldn’t have found a better place! Thanks again Tracey and the rest of your amazing staff!

I am new to the area, well state actually so I did a Google search and went off of reviews. My Google search and reviews lead me to D'Tails pet grooming. And let me tell you just how pleased I am. I have three pups all sizes and they were amazing with all three. Very professional over the phone and in person. If I could give ten stars I would. Highly recommend.

Would give 10 stars if I could.. sooo happy with how our schnauzer was groomed today. He looks amazing and my boy was so happy when he came out. They were Super flexible with my work hours for drop off and pick up time. The cost was extremely reasonable to me especially for good quality grooming. I booked my appointment almost 2 weeks out and it was worth the wait!

We had a reservation, for 0830 on Saturday. We show up with our dog and they tell us they were supposed to call and let us know they weren’t going to take our German Shepard puppy because they were concerned with his nervousness. This screwed up all our plans as we were headed out of town for the night. VERY unprofessional to not tell us ahead of time. We did what we were supposed to by bringing our dog by two days early but then they weren’t prepared to board him for half an hour to observe. He is a puppy that is nervous around people and dogs for the first 15-30 minutes then he is very gentle and affectionate. We told them this. It is their right to not accept any dog, but very unprofessional to not notify the owners prior to showing up to their business.

If only I can give them a negative score. Very unprofessional. I talked to the owner prior to bringing our 6 months & 11 days old GS puppy & explained to her that this is his first time to be boarded. She told us it’s ok and just bring him prior to boarding to get acquainted with the facility. On the day of the tour, which I told the owner the time we will be coming, the front desk who gave us an unwelcome face & another person inside who was very rude told us that we can’t do the tour of the place. The front desk staff asked us to fill up the paperwork & she’ll call prior the scheduled boarding. Didn’t received a call. We showed up on the scheduled day but turned us away by the same person who supposed to call. Our plan to go out of town was altered because of their unprofessional service. It seems like they don’t know how to cater/handle the needs of all breeds of dogs. Our GS puppy is very friendly once he warms up with the other dogs but their staff obviously doesn’t know how to handle a GS puppy. We have our GS puppy groomed by Tracy at PETCO every month & according to Tracy he gave her a bunch of kisses every single time she grooms him! Poor judgement on the D’tails staff! The owner, who’s the groomer of the D’tails, didn’t even met our puppy and didn’t even bother to call for an explanation before or after the incident. Very unprofessional! Their lost! Would NOT recommend to all my friends with GS!!!

Took my pit mix there for a flea dip and nail trim. Only $40. They took very good care of her. I would recommend this place to anyone. And they offer boarding too.

They do a great job grooming. Pricing is a little high but EVERY good groomers haa gotten that way. MOST of the counter help are friendly. Feel a bit rushed with them and their for forget to ask for a service ir two every time and none are suggested so gotta just write it down I guess.

I had such a pleasant experience! I have a pit bull who, no matter how many baths I give, always smells like "dog" and won't let me get a good trim on her nails. When I picked her up she smelled SO good, looked amazing, her nails were incredible, and i could tell that my baby had a good time and was loved well. The staff are all super sweet and helpful, and the prices are great. We will definitely be back!
