Veterinary Center of Buckhead Atlanta, Georgia

Was closed even though Google Maps listed them as "open". They need to update their store hours in the google maps. I needed a emergency vet and waisted valuable time driving here, only to find a sign on the door.

I was seeking a new Vet for my 3 pets and sought out 3 possibilities. This one had the rudest reception on the phone, very quick to get me off the line and offered little to no information in a tone that was impatient and included the cliche 'sighs' of poor customer service. Thinking it was a one-off I tried again a couple of days later, another receptionist and the same experience. I purchased a product from them and when I went physically into the office, it was again the same rude, perturbed reception. People in the wait room, those walking to their cats are not smiling. This place creates an atmosphere of unhappy pet owners. I am amazed anyone would take their pet here as it's not just about the doctor for your pet, but the reception for you and your pet. There are so many other options I would stay very, very far away from this place.

I’ve been bringing my border collie to this vet for the past 8 years and have always had a great experience. Everyone is kind, caring, competent and they never try to take advantage or suggest unnecessary expensive tests or treatments. I’ve had bad experiences at other vets and even though I moved and this location isn’t super convenient I wouldn’t consider for a second going anywhere else. 100% trust and recommend. Extremely grateful to have found them.

Lance is one of the best vets in the South East. He is very experienced and knew the diagnosis of my cat right away. I highly recommend Veterinary Center of Buckhead! Lance truly cares about the animals he treats.

We have been coming to Vet Center of Buckhead for almost 3 years and have enjoyed our experiences. The doctors are knowledgeable and professional. They always take great care of our boys. Yes, the price tag is a bit higher but we don’t mind paying more for the great care!

Have been taking my dog here for two years. Great staff that truly loves making sure my dog is well taken care of.

Couple months ago had to go vaccinate my dog and they had the worst attitude in addition to giving my dog the wrong vaccine. Very poor communication between the employees. Now, I just called to get my dog’s rabbies vaccine tag#. A British secretary answered the phone call and was complete useless and rude. Did not help me at all, did not let me explain the situation, talked over me. This place is employed by people who are every unprofessional. The lady ended up the call while I was talking. Do not take your dog to this vet if you care for them. They are unreliable and irresponsible.

Amazing work with the stem cell procedure. Made a huge difference in my chocolate lab.

Dr. Hirsch is an outstanding veterinarian. He has taken such great care of my older dog. He is really great at explaining what’s going on in a way that is easy to understand, and he is extremely knowledgeable about treatment options. I can’t say enough great things about the rest of the staff as well. They are all very attentive, compassionate and extremely helpful. My dog and I are both very grateful to Vet Center of Buckhead for all their help, and we highly recommend them for all your veterinarian needs.

NOT GOING BACK: I can walk there so I thought it's SO close what a great idea: NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. The sign on the front door said "CLOSED" Irene is AWFUL at the front desk: rude, unfriendly, and wouldn't give me the breakdown of my $400 tab or let me ask the Dr questions after I checked out: so lesson learned: will drive extra to find a better place

My dog had a chew bone stuck around her lower jaw and I was unable to pull it off myself. I took her to VCB and Dr. Jenkins went above and beyond to remove the bone. I'm very grateful of the staff members and how helpful they were with getting my dog in to see the doctor.

The wait is long, but worth it

Professional, friendly and genuinely care about their patients. They called me while my pet was boarding there during a recent trip to alert me to a possible UTI she might have. As a relatively new dog owner, I appreciated the heads up as these are the types of things I have little experience with. Ive dealt with Irene on multiple occasions and she's always been 100% professional. Understand the passion owners have for their pets and take those 1 star reviews with a grain of salt.

Slow, bad customer service and not accurate on orders

Dr. Jenkins and his staff are wonderful! My Pomeranian went into a seizure one evening. I rushed her to the Veterinary Center of Buckhead only ten minutes before they closed, and Dr. Jenkins didn’t hesitate to take care of her. All of the staff were very friendly and reassured me that she would be taken care of. I honestly had no idea what was happening to my Pom, and I was so worried she wasn’t going to make it. However, she is now at home safe, healthy, and happy. Thank you!

Called to make an appointment to get my male golden retriever puppy neutered. Staff at the front desk were very dismissive about how much the procedure would cost. She eventually quoted me $600! That’s seems like a hefty price to have a perfectly normal puppy with no health issues neutered.... This place is a scam and the women at the front desk are dismissive and unhelpful. I will be going somewhere else for my veterinary care.

Best non-ER vet ever for us.

Dr Hirsh is the BEST VET in Buckhead. You are doing your pet a favor by chosing Vetinary Center of Buckhead. He’s just as good as my Vet in NYC and he is thorough and very much in tune with the best medicine for your dog. It was so inspiring to learn how he is changing dogs lives with stem cell medicine. We are lucky to have him in Buckhead. Recommending him to everyone in my building! Thanks Dr. Hirsh! Deff my go to Vet!

I have been taking all of my pets to Dr. Hirsh for over 20 years and wouldn't want to take them anywhere else. Dr. Hirsh and all of the other doctors and assistants that work there truly love animals and care about your pets as much as you do. I trust them whole-heartedly with my animals. They are excellent!

VCB is truly the best.

I called first thing Sunday morning and spoke with Irene because I needed someone to look at my elderly cat as she had been throwing up all night. Not only did Irene put me on a long hold, she also told me that I cannot bring my cat in because they don’t do “difficult procedures” on the weekends. I literally told her that I just need someone to see my cat to let me know if it’s something dire or if it’s something we can wait til Monday to take her to our usual vet. She then proceeded to tell me that I could take her to an emergency vet “if I’d like” and when I told her I would rather see them first, she hung up on me!!! Highly disappointed in this first impression. They need to work on being sensible.

I contacted them days ago through their website, and have yet to hear back from them.
