Wanted a second opinion for my pup. Dr have me a few options with no pressure after a few tests. Recommended some new food and the problems were gone immediately. Very happy I decided to get another take. Also, I got in a bad car accident on the way to my appointment and they were very understanding when I needed to reschedule. They also had food waiting for me at the counter with my pup’s name on it when I came to pick more up.

Met Dr. Mark while out with a friend, who also sees him for their pups. I explained our issues we were having with our 1.5 yr old cat and how I was at my breaking point on being able to keep her if those behavior issues didn’t change. He gave me his card and said he’s happy to help and will try to work me in ASAP. I called the next day and his office was so kind and fit us in that same week. His staff was super friendly and Dr. Mark was so good with our sweet girl, Darcey. My husband and I are really hopefully her new medication will help. I will definitely be coming back to this beautiful vet clinic!

I’ve been going to this Vet since I got my puppy. They are very kind and professional each time ive gone. All was good until my primary veterinarian Dr. Jonathan Holzwarth took it upon himself to change the information provided to him into his own version. My dog Leo has nipped at 2 people before but never landed a bite. These moments were basic protective moments with no real intent but to tell the person to go away. I went to sign my dog up for new training and sent them the medical records and upon them receiving it they informed me Leo had a “bite history.” When I called my Vet he stated that “nipping at someone is the same exact thing as fully biting them” and made a sorry excuse of an addendum in a lackadaisical effort to fix this issue. I will be looking into legal options as this has created a lot of issues for us and will be potentially creating many more in the future.

I have brought my black lab here since she was 8 weeks old and they are great! Reasonably priced and so friendly. They really care about your dog and you can tell. The vet is very knowledgeable and tries to recommend reasonably priced medicines and things. I would highly recommend for anyone

The best from Buckhead to Chamblee. Really, two the the most "personally connected" vets anywhere!

I was looking for a new vet, primarily because my dog is getting older and I wanted a place where I could be present in the exam room during the actual exam. This Ofc had good reviews, and when I made the appt I was assured that I would be in the exam room. My appt was the “first after lunch” time slot. no one else waiting, I could hear laughter and conversations in the back, yet had to wait 15 min before someone bothered to come out, and she wasn’t particularly friendly. Not rude, but not friendly either. Next, I was taken to the exam room, but my dog was taken “to the back” for the actual exam and shots. The exact opposite of what I was told/sold. While “in the back” Dr Mark (should have been a tip-off, who goes by Dr firstname besides chiropractors?) performed 2 procedures that were not only not requested, but not authorized. Didn’t ask, Just did it, And padded the bill by $150. I would have not given consent if asked. What he did was totally unnecessary. They did ask if they could do bloodwork, to which I declined. He had just had bloodwork done and they had his records. Then, I asked that they scan my dog to make sure his chip was readable. At first I was told “um, we don’t really do that”. Seriously? You can’t take 2 seconds to scan his chip? They finally did it at my insistence. All in all I was not impressed. The kicker was when I emailed a medical report from a snake bite which required an overnight stay at an emergency vet clinic with a question about the pain meds. Crickets. Never even a call or reply. Won’t be going back, that’s for sure

I have been going to this veterinarian for three years. I have never had a bad experience. Every member of the staff that I have interacted with has been wonderful! They are so good with my cats. This is the only vet that they have been to.

I don't write reviews often, or ever, but Dr. Holzwarth is easily the best vet we've ever had and quite possibly better then our own doctors. He's thorough and very communicative. Cant recommend him enough

We had a great experience at BuckHaven. We called on a Wednesday and were able to get an appointment for that Saturday as a new patient. We were allowed to go inside, even with social distancing going on. It made us feel more comfortable that we got to go in, especially since we’d never been before. There were no other patients in the lobby, and we were easily able to stay six feet away from the employees. The inside was decorated very nicely and the room where we saw the vet was huge. The place felt very clean and well-kept. The receptionist was so kind and welcoming. The vet tech, Mary (I believe), was also wonderful. Our pup took to her right away, and she took to him. The vet, Dr. Britton, was amazing as well. They were patient with us as we asked a bunch of new dog parent questions. Even after they clipped our dog’s nails, he didn’t hold it against them and still loved on them. We don’t think the prices were anything out of the ordinary. They itemized the bill: office visit ($61), leptospirosis vaccination ($34.61), decal check ($88.16), heartworm antigen test ($53.72), nail trim (free), Trifexis (they said the first one is free), PhytoVet CK shampoo ($23.06) for allergies. It was $260.55 in total, which is about the same as what we’ve seen from other vets. On the bill, they have reminders with dates for future vaccines, which is helpful. We felt like we were in very good hands at BuckHaven and we’ll be back. We definitely trust them with our favorite family member!

Dr. Mark and Dr. Jonathan are both wonderful, along with the rest of the friendly staff. They always take great care of both my dogs. Only downside I would say, at all, is they are pretty pricey. But it's definitely worth it, they really care about the animals and provide excellent care.

Best Vet in Atlanta. They care about your cats and dogs more than you do. It's always a treat going up there. Cleanest vet I've ever seen. It's a pricey vet, but you are getting top quality care, it's not just overpriced and shady. We love it, and our fur babies do too

I went to this vet recently when my previous vet moved her practice based on the excellent reviews. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I saw Dr Britton who seemed distracted and unorganized during my visit. She found the beginnings …

Dr. Mark R. St. Onge & his staff were wonderful for Teddy’s first visit after I rescued him from a rough state of health. They made us feel comfortable, and the facilities are clean and welcoming. Thanks for making us feel at ease and for explaining things well to help treat Teddy.

Friendly staff. They scheduled me in the same day and helped my dog out quickly and professionally. Dog lovers work here which is what I look for when choosing a new vet.

I took my dog in because of chronic diarrhea. Everyone there was friendly, and Dr. Holzwarth prescribed 3 medications. I asked if all of them were necessary, and he said "You could probably hold off on giving her the tablets if the other two medications make her better." So then I didn't show much interest in buying the tablets, but he persuaded me by saying "If you don't use the tablets, you can return them back to us." I thought returning medication wasn't possible, but he confirmed that yes, it was an option. Later on my dog became healthy using the medication (which was great) without using the tablets, so I returned to the clinic asking to return the tablets. The receptionist said the doctor wasn't in and to come back later. I then received a phone call saying they talked to the doctor (not sure if it was the same doctor) and it was illegal for them to accept the medication back. They didn't even offer a refund. So basically the doctor either didn't know that you can't return medication or he lied to me so that I would spend more money. Either case I should have received a refund. It was poor business practice.

Dr Mark has been our vet for more than 10 years and we appreciate him and his team’s professionalism so much that we continued to go to him when we moved to Reynoldstown for a few years. While they aren’t the least expensive vet, you can expect excellent care. They always follow up with a call 2 days after a visit to check on our dog.

Dr. Mark, Sam and Schelby are angels walking on this earth. I have had the pleasure of being with them for 5 years now and they have seen the lives of my two late Golden retrievers, Bella and Cokely Marshall. This vet and his staff are magical, caring and understanding. Not only do they go above and beyond for you and your pet, they also do everything in their power to help YOU during tough times emotionally and physically. I cannot thank them enough for the love and support they have given to me and my late pets. 5 stars and so many more. I miss you guys, I can’t wait to find another best friend and have you as their vet.

Can't say enough good things about them. Had a not so great experience with my previous vet, very glad I made the switch to Buckhaven. Very friendly staff who truly put my dogs interest first. Thank you!
