The love & passion that Dr. Hiro has for his clients (people + pets) shines through in his interactions. He doesn't rush, takes time to get to you know & your pet, and answer any/all questions. You can tell he loves what he does & he is the best at it. I am so happy to have Dr. Hiro/Briarlake to take care of our furbabies!

This place is the best! They take wonderful care of two of my cats and also my boyfriend's dog. They are gentle with the animals and really take the time to explain any issues with you after examinations. Also, their prices are very reasonable. I will continue taking all my animals here as long as I can.

We love this place! Have only really needed to go for routine checkups and vaccines, but they also helped with finding a medication that helps our 9 year old dog with occasional urine leakage. Very pleased with the service and they seem to have standard rates based on vets we've had in the 3 other states we've lived in.

Dr. Hiro and Dr. Hochel are the best veterinarians in Atlanta! I've known them for 20 years and trust them 1000% with my pets.

I have a small dog who deeply mistrusts strangers. Our first visit to Briarlake Animal Hospital was superb! Everyone there was so good with her, giving her time to get get used to them, and taking time with me to make sure I was comfortable too. Dr. Hochel got down on the floor to introduce herself to my dog, allowing her to sniff, etc. Vets usually resort to a muzzle with T, but not these guys. They were able to hold her for a mouth exam, and were even able to clip her nails without a muzzle on! I'm completely impressed, and 100% encourage everyone to take their pets to Briarlake!

**Update: Thank you for following up.. I will visit again.** It says now open but they did not help my pet because it's appointment only. I would understand that if they didn't claim to be a hospital. I called Briarcliff Animal Hospital and they took care my pet. Hope this hospital changes their policy since they're closer to me.

We moved to the area around a year ago and were in need of a vet! I called many places, but this place was super friendly on the phone and seemed pretty affordable. Our experience was great. The vet tech was so sweet to my dog and made sure he was comfortable before taking him for his yearly exam and shots. The vet was very sweet and took her time with me, answering all my questions and concerns. We will definitely be returning for all our dogs needs!!

Very professional staff and seemed genuinely interested in my Dog and taken care of him. I was over going to Bansfield and the whole shady experience and was nervous to try this place but it was well worth it and the experience and customer service is better then you'll get at any Bansfield. I'll be bring my Dog back here again!

This was the first visit for Susie at Briarlake. Dr. Hochel had already retrieved Susie's records from my previous vet. There was no wait to be seen. I had written out a lot of information we wanted to have checked and she did a thorough job of addressing them and discussing them with me after the visit. I look forward to using this vet for Susie's care.

I really enjoy our visits with Briarlake Animal Hospital. The staff are SUPER responsive, the vets are very caring and happy to spend a long time talking with you and answering your questions. If you email them during office hours, you can generally expect a reply in minutes. Our puppy actually loves being at the Vet!

This place has been great. We discovered BAH during the COVID pandemic when our other vet shutdown. We adopted multiple cats during the pandemic and needed vaccinations, etc. During urgent times they have worked us into their schedule. They are timely with communication and I don't sit on hold for extended periods of time. I'm glad we have discovered Briarlake Animal Hospital.

We have lived in the north Atlanta area for 20 years and sadly many veterinarian offices have recently sold out to corporate interests with a corresponding decline in both service and value. Briarlake is still privately owned by a caring husband and wife team who deliver veterinary services the old fashioned way, with compassion for both our furry family members and our pocketbooks. I can't say enough good things about the caring service we received. I would highly recommend.

After taking my fur babies to large practices over the years I felt it was time for a change, for a smaller more personalized experience. Fortunately I found Briarlake and couldn’t be happier. I made an introductory call on 2/17 to inquire about bringing my puppy in for a routine checkup and vaccinations. The staff was very friendly during the call and even provided an estimate of the requested and suggested services after looking at Kofi’s medical records (reasonably priced). During the visit, everyone was very friendly and exercised a great deal of patience with a super excited 1yr old puppy. He enjoyed everyone and so did I.
