Just reading the requirements..... As a mom to 4 kids and also having a mini poodle that we rescued 3 years ago.... Y'all are excluding good, loving homes with some of the requirements. I have 2 kids under 10, we are excluded. My current rescue dog won't potty if I go out with him, so I let him out the door into a privacy fenced back yard. That would also exclude me. I actually found a couple of dogs that could be good fit, but y'all literally just denied them a loving forever home because of your ridiculousness. ✌????

I recently adopted the sweetest boy from Georgia Poodle Rescue after reading his heartbreaking story. Georgia Poodle Rescue is run by a true animal lover and advocate. It was obvious during every step of the process that the owner puts the needs of her rescue animals first. She works tirelessly to care for them, train them, LOVE them, and find the right home for them. The extremely thorough vetting process shows how serious they are about making sure their dogs are properly placed. The application was extremely detailed and the meet and greet gives everyone the opportunity to ensure it’s a good fit. Thankfully, we all agreed that this sweet boy was meant to be part of our family for the rest of his precious life. Thank you to Debbie Blatchley and Georgia Poodle Rescue for rescuing him and bringing him into our life!

Ignored our request for application! No reason given except a copy of their rules and conditions. We were left to believe it was because we were 30 minutes over their “ home inspection “ criteria? Not the fact that we are loving, caring pet owners or we have the documentation and reputation as great pet owners. I guess their 30 minutes out ways the safety and well-being of their rescues. Too bad these animals are dependent on people that proclaim to be all about the animals!

Typical dog hoarder out to pull the power play over people that are trying to do the right thing and adopt a dog that got a bad deal from humans . They are in the game to let everyone know that you are a horrible person and only those involved in the business are good people. They should be ashamed. They are exactly what the complain about as they also charge for a dog just like a breeder does . Accept payment for a dog is selling dogs. You can tell yourself different but it's what it is.

mores a question me personally I am a 22 y/o F and college graduate. I previously owned a poodle and would like another to care for. I personally prefer apartment living rather than living in a house. Will I never be able to adopt from here?

Nearly impossible to adopt a poodle from here. I emailed Georgia Poodle Rescue numerous times requesting an application, but not once have they even bothered to respond back. It shouldn’t be that difficult to apply for a rescue dog. There are many wonderful rescue groups out there with top notch customer service, but GA Poodle Rescue is definitely not one of them. I moved on to another poodle rescue organization out of state, and was able to bring a poodle home in less than 2 weeks. Do not waste your time nor money on this place; reading their responses to the one star reviews says it all.

Edited: Mean-spirited and unprofessional, unnecessarily heavy-handed. No need to be rude, GA Poodle Rescue; I am not being retaliatory at all. Shouldn't others know how your organization operates? I said nothing untruthful in my review. I …

My mother wanted to adopt a puppy mill poodle, Gracie from GA Poodle Rescue. She hadn't had a dog since her 30's, due to her husband dying at age 34, then raising her 2 daughters as a single mom, and not getting a dog while she lived alone …

Georgia Poodle Rescue is awesome! The dogs are so well cared for and GPR was great to work with. The application and review process was pretty in depth but I would expect as much and hope all pet adoptions are handled in such a detailed …

Georgia Poodle Rescue has high standards for their adopters. The application is detailed and long, and there is a small application fee, but I personally appreciated all of this because this rescue truly cares that the dogs go to a good …

Very considerate of the poodles and cares enough to go the extra mile. And yes, she doesnt care if she hurts your feelings for the good of the dogs.

I needed to find a home for my 90-year-old dad’s Yorkie Poo, and Debbie’s place came up in a Google search for the best yorkie poo rescue - it was a top 5 choice among rescues across the country. After talking with her on the phone and then …

I don't understand the negative reviews...probably customers who were not selected to adopt a rescue poodle. My experience with Debbie of Georgia Poodle Rescue is excellent. Yes, the application process is lengthy but I see this as a plus. …
