My experience at the Bird Shop is the best. Me and my birds are treated extremely well. I have been bringing my birds for wing and nail clippings for over 15 years. They inspect the wings, nails and beak. They indicate if something looks odd and ask if you would like wings and nails trimmed. They never ever trimmed my birds wings incorrectly or trim the nails too short. Because I care about my birds, I bring my birds in for wing and nail clipping once a month. Not only does my birds get the care they need, they get use to traveling. I suggest that if you care about your birds bring them to the Bird Shop for their nails, wings and if needed beak trimming/clippings. Not only the birds will be happy, it does not cost alot of money.They are very professional. You can make an appointment. I have been there and people just walk in without an appointment and they will try to accommodate. If you choose to purchase your new bird, they will help you pick out a house (cage), food and toys that your bird will need. They moved to Roseville so you should stop by and see the new place. It is very nice. Update : I recently tried the bean mix for my birds. It is really easy to make and the birds really enjoy the beans. I add cooked vegetable pieces with the cooked beans. I also offer the birds fruit. This is in addition to their regular foods and water. The birds really like the bean mix.

I have 4 large parrots. Within the past 2 years my birds have been staying at the Bird Shop during times when I had to travel. I am always amazed at the level of care and professionalism The Bird Shop employees maintain. I never worry about my 30 plus yr old birds. Thank you for your love and caring attitude.

I received a call for a Cinnamon cockatiel no DNA testing, since I was on the waiting list for 3 months. When I went in to pick up the bird not only were they going to charge me for a DNA test I didn't order it was not a Cinnamon, it was a Cinnamon pied, which I was never told that is what it was. When I refused to pay the extra for the DNA testing, which mind you I never asked for (there was someone else wanting another bird that had a similar first name that wanted DNA testing) they gave me 2 options either pay the extra $ or pick another bird which they couldn't even tell me right off the bat which ones were already reserved or not. Before this when she was checking to see if this was the bird I was on the waiting list for the way the bird was grabbed was so rough that the bird was in distress the whole time, mind you this is the 2nd time we had been in there and both times when employees picked the birds up they were rough with them. We have owned birds for the last 20+ years and are experienced in handling birds. Along with that the wings were cut so short that it was almost too dangerous for the birds. You could tell that these birds were distressed with the way their tails were so short, I know it's that time of year for moulting, but this was not natural. I will not be going back here even for toys I can not support a store that handles their customers and most importantly their birds like that.

Absolutely adore this place! They are truly knowledgeable about the birds. Will is wonderful they take their time with you to ensure you and your feathered buddy are happy with your selections.

My absolute go to place for bird supplies. My African gray parrot prefers their food. She was one of their handfed babies so it stands to reason its her favorite.

Nice shop, but only finches & canaries for sale all the parrots were spoken for.

Great place! Friendly, truly caring staff who answer all questions. Healthy, well kept variety of birds. We've been coming here about 2 years for wing clippings/nails/food and everything else. They always treat us so well and always treat our bird with compassion and care. Highly recommend for boarding, and healthy happy pet purchases.

Their a small bird shop with good people and a variety of birds to choose from. Worth the visit.

Amazing place visit here regularly. They have a scarlet macaw named Trouble. He has his people and I by chance am 1. Many birds and even have a waiting list for new born. These people know their birds.
