River Oaks Animal Hospital Longwood, Florida

This was our first visit with River Oaks since the change of ownership. We were very happy with the staff and with Dr. Ortiz.

We have had our puppy at this facility several times and we have never been so satisfied with his care. Highly recommended for your special friend.

My cat is very sick!! The Dr"s are very supportive and informative. I am very impressed I can go in the back with my cat. The receptionist are remarkable !! Their customer service is top notch!

Dr Carter was great and easy to communicate with. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and everyone on the staff cared. From the moment I brought Riley in the door for a surgery including when I picked him up to come home, I felt like Riley and I both mattered. The pricing and quality was more then comparative. The price was more then fair as I had shopped around and was referred to another place that was more then double the pricing. I can not comprehend how other establishments attempt to take advantage of your time of need for your pets. Thank you so much for making us matter!! Quality, Care, Professionalism and great value! this is the place that cares about the pet and your wallet especially in hard times. Great Job!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Ana Ortiz and her professional staffing for over 10 years and I cannot thank them enough for caring about my two furry babies the way they have, each and every time I take them in for their routines. Hands down, the best veterinarian in town. I highly recommend River Oaks and Pet Paradise Animal Hospital to anyone that cares for their pets.

Friendly staff, clean space, easy in easy out.

Would definitely recommend this location to any pet owner! I took my male pup, Magic, because he was having diarrhea with blood in his stool. Called them on Monday and he was in Tuesday morning! I was able to leave him there while I returned to work and they called me first, to let me know what services they were recommending and the price for said services and then again to let me know that he was ready for pick up. When I arrived, my baby boy was already looking and feeling better. They took the time to go over his treatment plan with me again, print everything out, provide all of his needed medications and food, then we were out of there! I love a clean, thoroughly organized facility and that is River Oaks. Will be returning!

My dog was hit by a car and the staff took her in and bandaged my little tank up. They did an excellent job! Thank you guys for taking care of my little extension.

Very friendly, understanding and caring. They made my visit with them easy and comfortable not only for me but for my cat as well. He was very sick and I knew it was time, and not once did they judge me or questioned anything. I appreciate their kindness and everything they did today.

Very friendly staff very pleasant experience. Unfortunately my puppy didn't take well to sharing spotlight with other furry animals. Antisocial I guess???

This place was recommended by a friend when we got our first dog. We have been very impressed with their love of animals and care of our dog. When we have an issue, they give us their recommendations, but are willing to work with what we feel comfortable doing/affording. They clearly state the costs associated with any treatments and let us make the decisions. They listen well and answer our questions patiently. Great place!

Great Animal Hospital Nice Folks

I do not know where to begin on how amazing River Oaks is! All five of my pets have been going here for a few years and its like they are treated like family. They are always getting loved on by the girls in the office. One of my dogs is eleven and she has severe allergies. I have taken her to other vets and all they would do is keep giving her antibiotics. Dr. Ortiz took the time to find out what is causing the allergies and what we can do to control it. My dog is doing amazing now and her skin looks great. I do truly believe that Dr. Ortiz wants what is best for you and your pet she is wonderful! My other dog is a high energy husky and the ONLY thing that tires her out is doggy daycare at river oaks. She loves to swim in the pool, run in the sprinklers, and hang out with her friends. The girls give her lots of love while I am gone to work. Its a great place and I highly recommend it!

Dr. Ortiz is there...enough fact to visit that clinic. She is amazing and I know her for more than 10 years!

My precious dog ???? had a bite near his eye. My regular vet referred me to this office. Carla and Brittney were so nice. Dr Ortiz took great care of my angel ???? we will be changing vets for all our pets to the Longwood office.

First and foremost, I absolutely love the kindness and compassion as well as the sheer amount of competence the doctor and veterinarian technicians showed. When I came in with my girl, Lux, they handled her with dignity and gave her everything they had to try and save her. Even though they could not, they exhausted every effort, and were very upfront of what they did and why, as well as what happened. And even with COVID-19, they still allowed me the comfort of saying goodbye. I would recommend this place a million times over. And special thanks to Doctor Ortiz and the vet tech Christina (I believe that was their names; the day was a blur, unfortunately) who kept me up to speed with every decision they made. I know Lux was in good hands until the very last second.

Just moved to the area and we have been trying out several of the vet offices in the area. We had no problem with the doctor but what we did have an issue with is the office's focus on money and selling you things you don't need. Having been a pet owner for 30+ years, I have never had to sign an estimate of charges for the vet to see my dog. I could understand doing this at a specialist office or for an operation, but never just for a routine check up. This was the first poor impression office that I got. We were bringing our dog in to just check a red spot on his arm that he had been licking. It was very clear that he had some type of infection, but rather than just cleaning it and giving us antibiotics, they insisted on doing an in-house lab test to see if there was bacteria. $20 later, they confirmed there was bacteria. Next the doctor comes in without 3-4 different items that they had for sale to help treat my dog. Everything from dog food to vitamins. Of course I said no to all of this. If you are going to this vet for the first time, just be prepared to be nickel and dimmed and paying more than what you pay at other vet offices in the area.

Took our old dog in for a second opinion and we are very glad we did. They offered more options and better service, and it was a third of the cost of the limited treatment plans offered from another hospital. I was expecting to put the dog down in a few months so he won't suffer unnecessarily but now he's probably going to be around and comfortable for at least a year.

We could not be more happy with service we received at River Oaks. The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. We feel like our dog gets the best care each time we take him.

We were able to make a same day appointment due to an emergency. Excellent vet services.

Was riding bikes past this clinic and found a lost dog. We knocked on several doors nearby trying to find the owner without success. It was a very old and could not have wandered far. We tried to turn the dog over to the staff and they refused to care for it! WTF! 30 min later we found the owners a few doors down. They confirmed that this clinic is not friendly or helpful.
