We had to put our dog down and they were amazing.

If Dr. Doolittle was a real person, Dr. Thomas Oakes is he!!! What a great man! My experience with Dr. Oakes was some 4/5 years ago? When ever he opened. I was his second client. I was in urgent need of veterinary services, as my dog Sera, (who has a proclivity to swallow sox), was severely ill, and needed emergency surgery. Frantically I searched Orlando for an open veterinary clinic. With no time to waste, I did a google search, and found he was just a mile away. I stubbled into his office sad a scared, fearing the worse. He and his wife, Lisa, met me with the most genuine smile, which complemented there southern hospitality. They calmed me, took care of my dog ???? immediately with out hesitation. He took x-rays, found the problem, and saved my dogs life. I was so relieved and grateful. Since then, he has been the Vet for my family and friends. I have 3 dogs, and he takes care of them all as if they were his own. He truly loves animals. You know how they say animals can read a person’s soul/spirit. Well his has to be good for they all love him, as we all do. The office is warm and welcoming. The environment is completely animal friendly, and has a relaxing decor and atmosphere. The staff, lead by Lisa,(his wife), are well trained, super friendly, and are totally a reflect of Dr. Oakes. There office was open throughout the COVID-19 crisis. Their protocol was impeccably safe and consistent. Everyone wears masks and sanitises. Clients are separated by remaining in their cars, as the staff collect you animal for examination. Prices are extremely reasonable. In fact , he should really be charging more, but his etiquette probably would not allow him to. If you have animal needs, this is the place, this is the staff, this is the Veterinary Doctor, Dr. Thomas Oakes, and his amazing wife, Lisa Oakes. One visit, and like me, you will never go anywhere else! Thanks Doc!!! You are the best!!!❤️❤️❤️

I like Dr Oaks and staff. They do their best to make my animals and I comfortable and are very caring. Little pricey I think on meds, but understand they have a business to run

Great, new place! Big town Dr with a small town feel! My dog ripped all for paw pads and I was able to send pics. Said I just needed Neo and she would be fine. No office visit or anything. Simple, quick, and what I needed.:)

Great experience. They got my dog in next day. Efficient and caring staff. Treated my dog for constipation, did an x-ray, shot, and meds. Affordable.

The staff and vet here are so wonderful to me and my babies. The location is great, and the office is clean and pretty. They’re very responsive no matter how you try to get in touch with them, and they’re very knowledgeable on how to best care for your animals.

Everyone is friendly and caring. A little bit pricey but the doctor is very good. Clean facility. Front desk isn’t managed very well. Extremely hard to connect with them on their one phone line. When you call expect a “busy signal” often. When you are able to connect, you’re put on hold whenever you are able to get through. It’s been this way for over a year now (even before Covid). They do a decent job at socially distancing; again the phone/management is the problem once you arrive too.

Great doctor and staff here. They have a really nice newer house like building. Big lobby and nice exam rooms. The windows in the exam room are a nice touch. The prices here are very fair compared to some vets in the Dr. Phillips area. I highly recommend!

Dr Oakes & his staff were very friendly & down to earth. Mom & I like what we saw in everything & everyone & how you work on Bella. We recently adopted a new puppy and chose Lakes Animal Hospital for our veterinary needs. Though we have only been there for one appointment so far, they are very nice/friendly and the facility is modern/clean. We really look forward to our future visits and a long, happy relationship with them.

We have two senior dogs and a puppy and can honestly say each of them receives the highest level of care with Dr. Oakes and his staff. Dr. Oakes is very knowledgeable and truly cares about his patients. The clinic is kept very clean and the staff is friendly, helpful and caring.

I met Dr. Oakes at my lowest. I was putting to sleep my 16 year old dog. He and his staff were so compassionate. They returned her to me quickly and even fulfilled my special request of a paw print. Recently I started my cat there and they were unbelievable amazing! Highly recommend!!!
