Healing Arts Veterinary Center West Palm Beach, Florida

Recently started going here with my puppy, Akela. Yesterday I went for her second round of puppy vaccinations as well as flea medication. I spoke to the vet tech as well as the vet and told them both that I needed her to receive flea medicine and they both acknowledged it. Before I left, they handed me a closed flea medicine box and the vet told me to give her the pill in a month (?). I didn’t question it too much because I thought maybe some of her vaccinations may cover the flea issue. At night and this morning, Akela was still itching so I had called the vet this morning. I was told multiple different answers. That she was not given medicine, that we had never even discussed fleas, etc. yet I was given a box of flea medicine. Then, I was told that it wasn’t even notated about talking about flea medicine, administering it, etc. yet somehow I was handed a flea medicine (if we never spoke about it then how did I get the medicine). The miscommunication is honestly baffling to me. The vet never told me to administer the medicine myself when I got home nor did he say that he didn’t administer any flea medicine. I just want to know why they didn’t administer it and why the communication through out is lacking, as well as not properly notating what may be communicated with clients.

So on 10/19/21 I had to bring my dog Guss to Healing Arts Veterinary Center. This day was the toughest day I ever had. Everybody over at the Healing Arts understood our pain and sadness and made this terrible day a little easier! Thank you so much!

Return visit. My inside Cat picked up fleas here. They tried to sell me $100 flea stuff. Cost me $73 exam & test for uti. $28 meds. When u pick up things at medical places do u really want to go back? Idk about this place. Cost me to much money. I had to ask someone to take me there twice! 1st visit. Its ok. Nothing special here. Waiting to long after went into exam room.

Trustworthy, honest, accommodating, professional, responsive. No unnecessary testing or excessive treatments that we’ve all felt taken on at some point or another.l with other veterinary practices. Great people to work with.

My dog BullZeye loves her Vet. She is so happy when we pull in the parking lot! They are very nice here. She also goes to doggy daycare here. Dr. Sharp is awesome. Staff is super nice. If HAVC is not your vet... I feel bad for you.

Best Vet in town! Brought my 14 year old Maltese puppy back to life after he was nearly dead from eating ant poison. They are simply amazing.

They treat your pets like their own. You can tell the staff believes in the mission.

We were using a place in Jupiter that I’ll leave nameless, but they were more than double the prices of Healing Arts. Might’ve been a bit closer to us, a little fancier, a tad more organized, but not worth it. Healing Arts & their staff were GREAT and accommodating to our two giant dogs. I was impressed with the vet and all the vet assistants! Admin/Secretary behind counter wasn’t the best, but I didn’t care that much. They are fantastic where it counts and such a great value, very affordable!!

Healing Arts is by far the best Veterinary Center I have ever taken my dogs to. We have 3 dogs and have done everything from shots to surgeries with Dr. Sharpe. He is amazing and so is his staff! I believe their prices are fair and their daycare is the best! I highly recommend this facility!!

They go above & beyond. The staff and Doctor's are phenomenal. They listen, observe and truly care, most places will run every test imaginable prior to diagnose, not these guy's. They are on point. Thank you!

Such a friendly and caring staff!

Dr. Sharpe and staff have been consistently kind and caring. My 10 year old calico experienced a seizure of which at the time it occurred I did not know what her behavior and distress meant. I was so concerned I called and I was told that I should bring her in that day for evaluation. Dr. Sharpe listened and was able to tell me what my cat had experienced. He suggested a blood panel to rule out all other causes such as poisoning, allergies, etc. He also was very clear that this episode may never happen again nor have a direct cause and he was also truthful in his consult that seizures may become a recurring event but that there are medicines that can be administered to help manage the severity and frequency if this SHOULD become a norm. I have been a satisfied pet mom and customer of Healing Arts for over 10 years. My three cats have been patients of this establishment. Thank You Healing Arts and Dr. Sharpe for your care of my pet family.

I have been bringing my pets here off and on (mostly on) for years, but the one thing that never changes is the exorbitant prices. Case in point... I brought my dog King in for a dental cleaning today. I previously had blood work done with his vaccinations, and I was given an estimate for the dental. $430. When I dropped King off this morning, i paid a $160 deposit, but when I picked him up this afternoon, the bill was $605. I asked why, and I was told that there were extractions that he had to do, something i was not warned of before. The person who left me a message after the procedure never mentioned the $175 difference in price. I asked why I wasn't informed of this beforehand, and I was told that Dr. Sharp didn't have time to call to let me know before he did it. But the kicker was when King was brought out. A technician brought out the medicine and went over them, but Dr. Sharp never came out to go over what happened. I've been coming here for years, and he normally will discuss procedures. But today he didn't. I asked why he wouldn't come out, and the person at the desk said that she would get the doctor if i really needed to talk to him, but that i already received the information that I needed from the technician. After spending $175 more than I was expecting, I think the least that I would receive is an explanation from the person running the clinic. But it seemed clear that he did not want to come out. Overall, just very bad communication. The prices here have always been higher than most other places, but if you're going to charge these kinds of prices, I would expect better communication and more details about pricing before charging you. I honestly feel like I've been robbed today.

Friendly staff, great vet that actually cares and make you feel like family

A wonderful place to take your pets. Dr Sharpe is a great vet, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. And they have a fantastic doggie daycare!

Staff is very nice and responsive! Love Dr. Sharpe! Kind, very competent... really super awesome!! No complaints after being seen by his practice for many years and several animals. Highly recommend.

Seems to me like they misdiagnosed my dog on purpose just to pad the bill. Bad vet. They wanted all kinds of expensive tests my dog did not need. I will not go here again.

I took my cat "Hab" in because she stopped eating and was barely drinking water. I Googled several veterinarian places, but this one seemed the nicest. The onsite staff is very friendly, but the veterinarian, Dr. Zeitlin--- is an ANGEL SENT FROM HEAVEN. She is one of the coolest vets I've met in a very long time. She took the time to explain in detail everything concerning my kitty. She prescribed a drug which appears to be doing its job because my sweet kitty Hab is doing much better. We still have another blood test to take, but I continue to say my prayers and I'm confident in my veterinarian. I'm glad I found this place.

Dr Shaubert was amazingly compassionate, gentle, and absolutely professional while euthanizing our sixteen year old Cleo. Everyone complemented the experience as beautiful and comforting, and we have already recommended their services to friends and coworkers with aged pets. We cannot praise Dr Shaubert enough.

My 8 year old dog started having issues walking and standing up. She was put on a lot of pain pills but was so miserable that we thought we were going to have to put her to sleep. Healing Arts was recommended to us as they do laser therapy. Dr. Sharpe evaluated her, eliminated the majority of her pills and came up with a treatment plan. She responded well to the laser therapy and the underwater treadmill and even looked forward to her visits. She is now back to her old self and isn't taking any pain pills. Everyone in the office is so caring and professional. You can tell they love what they do by the way they treat every animal that comes through the door. We cannot thank Dr. Sharpe and his team enough for saving our dog. I recommend them to every pet owner I know!

PLEASE do your homework, get more than one opinion on any Vet procedure BEFORE you go here.Unfortunately after the teeth cleaning and 3 teeth pulled, second vet advised that they could not even see where ANY teeth had been pulled at all. …
