Dr Forbes is the most caring person I’ve ever met. She was so sympathetic to my family and helpful to anything we needed. My dog had several medical issues and she was always there if we needed her. Recently we had to put our baby down and she understood completely how I was feeling and told me I could contact her if I ever needed anything. Just a beautiful human being that loves animals. Thank you so much. You and your staff have always been incredible.

I had to take my Peaches in for a bad hacking cough and Dr Forbes as ALWAYS is so great. She takes her time, understands what a baby I am with my dog. She doesn’t over charge or over medicate. Dr. Forbes is the best vet that I could ever find. My little dog started losing all her beautiful coat. I thought she was going to be bald . Dr Forbes found a cyst on her and brought in a specialist and now she has more hair then she ever had.. I will never leave this vet...with all my babies

I have been with the team and Dr Karen for more than 10 years. She and her staff take the time to explain what is going on with my animals and the suggested course of action, then they follow up. I have referred many neighbors who love Dr Karen and her team. I can't say enough about her kindness and respect for our animals not like the big Chain VCA who wants to just bill and bill for part of big Vet corp America who we left and have now found are forever Vet in Dr. Karen and South Shore Animal Hospital.

We could not be more pleased with Dr. Forbes and her staff. They have been there so many times no matter when we needed an appointment. We left a large vet's office due to out pets (kids) were just a number and we could never get out of the office for under $200. Well we decided to go to a smaller office and we could not be more thrilled with South Shore. She allows us to bring all of our animals in at once for check up's and only charges for one office visit. We never had that anywhere else. Dr Forbes listens to you and really works with you and your pet to figure out what is going on and make suggestions. He Dr who covers when she is off is also wonderful. Any time I have asked for prices the staff always would advise me. Before any work was done on my babies they always would let us know the price. We are so thankful that our babies have Dr Forbes and her staff.

South Shore Animal Hospital is by far the best Veterinarian Office I have ever gone to. Dr. Forbes and her amazing staff have always provided the best care and treatment for my two Pugs. I took my dog here for a follow-up visit. I was informed by the vet tech on his last visit, I would not be charged for a "re-check." After the follow-up, they charged me $40 dollars for eye drops they administered outside of the exam room. I was not aware they gave him eye drops, let alone I would be charged for it. At the very least, their staff needs to do a better job of informing customers of the costs ahead of time, especially since I was told there would be no charge. After reading other reviews on yelp, they are consistent with not being upfront about their prices. I had considered having Dr. Forbes as my vet for my other dog. After this experience, I will be going to another vet.

Dr. Forbes is certainly the best veterinarian we have used-very bright, caring, and innovative. And responsive! Staff is great and takes the time to pay attention to your animals' needs. Very helpful in scheduling appointments around my hours-highly recommend this office!

I would recommend Dr Forbes to everyone. She is truly a compassionate and intelligent woman who runs a very fair business. I have had pets/ dogs for 20 years and Karen and her staff are the best I have ever had. I travel an hour passing others by for their exceptional service.

Absolutely the BEST vet and staff!! Dr. Forbes was amazing with our Golden Retriever, Derry. Without her and her staff, Derry would not be with us today.
