So happy we gave this place a try! They got me in for an appointment the same day and even called to offer me an earlier time because of a cancellation. Both the tech and the doctor were so very sweet with our dog (who hates the vet) I couldn’t believe how well she behaved. They took their time, were patient as I explained everything and very thorough with the exam and directions upon leaving. This is our dog’s new vet! Highly recommend

Very professional and caring staff, who like to explain everything to you on the testing, diagnosis and medication.

The staff at Island Animal are so stellar, at one point- we moved over an hour away and still drove out to see them- even for a 5 min nail clipping! We have two rescue chihuahuas, who can be rather delicate & usually very scared and anxious, but at the vet they have really opened up & learned to trust and love the staff. It’s truly a miracle. But it shows- that just by being kind hearted towards animals & patient- it goes a long way. We are so so thankful for the care our babies receive from everyone there. It’s such a wonderful & refreshing piece of mind. They are also extremely accommodating! We’ve run into so many instances where the babies needed care in the same day-and Kory and Alexis always find a way to squeeze them in. Every vet is fantastic & extremely thorough with each Visit. We can’t thank the staff enough for their ongoing efforts to make sure our pets are healthy & happy. These pups are our everything, and deserve the best- aka Island Animal:)

Tried the vet closest to me and had a negative experience. This one is further but worth it. Friendly, responsive and helpful!

Had a great run with our Lola.......Near the end of her life we needed a professional to help us navigate through multiple issues , mainly seizures...........Dr Gaudry and the assistants were there to the end..Very peaceful and no more pain for our loved one. We were given the facts and reality left us with no choice after all other options had been exhausted....Thank you for the compassion and humane services Dr. Gaudry and Staff.

My dog had an emergency and my regular vet could not fit in anyone that day. I had heard about Island in Viera and called them. They were busy, but fit him in. It was great, they handled my hurt little dog so gently, took good care of him, and he is doing well. The cost was very reasonable as well. I have recently moved to Viera and will make Island my regular vet from now on.

By far the most professional, caring, Courteous, team of animal care givers. I am so impressed with every individual I had contact with. From the front office to the assistants, technicians, and doctors. Put your pet in their hands you will have your forever Veterinarian!

I really prefer the Viera office.....it's small and more quaint and they know who I am, I really LOVE that......All the techs are so so nice and they know my animals especially my Boxer, Lincoln. The M I office is to busy and they never knew me when I went there......just proves smaller is better!!

We moved here at the beginning of covid and Island Animal Hospital wasn’t allowing anyone inside with their pets, which was very irritating. Now, Oct of 2021, our Dalmatian had bladder stones and needed immediate surgery. They are now allowing you in the hospital and it was wonderful. Staff was incredibly and doctor was outstanding! Very caring and friendly and even under the circumstances, enjoyed our visit and being able to go inside. Highly recommended!

Everyone at IAH was very nice, professional and made us feel comfortable. Our dog had her teeth cleaned with 3 extractions, and 3 growths removed. She is doing very well and back to normal on day 2. I highly recommend them.

This is the best animal clinic I have ever experienced! From the front to the back. They greet you and are really concerned about your pet and reassuring and knowledgeable the hold step of the way. Elaine the assistance spent a lot of time with us (me and kitty); and Kitty was relaxed, playful ; portraying a very confident demeanor! I guess she knew she was in the right place. When the Doctor came in she was patient, and got right to the point, evaluating all data and wrote the prescriptions, gave me instructions and I left the happiest new kitten Mommy in the world...extremely happy to find such a place!

Their staff were amazing! They were friendly, informative, and so accommodating. My dog needed to be seen ASAP this morning, I called and they said to bring her in as soon as I could. Gerry was our tech, and he was truly awesome. He answered all of my questions and was super understanding of my dogs sometimes not so great temperament. I don’t remember the vets name but she was fantastic as well! She updated me while she worked on my dog, and came back in to let me know what to watch for. We were in and out, very reasonably priced, and I will definitely be taking my pup back to them for future care. Thanks again Island Animal Hospital!

My poor little dog, 11 years old, went lame and wouldn't eat. I called and they saw her that day. Took x-rays and provided medication. 2 days later she's putting a bit of weight on that leg and has eaten a little. I can tell she's feeling better. They were very kind and I could tell they really care about their patients. Made sure I understood everything clearly.

Quick and easy to check in when you arrive from car. Technician Taylor was great, super friendly and knowledgeable and great follow through on everything. Made me and my girl very comfortable for our first visit and glad we choose them. Dr. Gaudrey is great too, very relaxed and attentive to dogs needs. Would definetly recommend for services!

Moved here 2 years ago and left a great veterinarian in Deland so we had to look elsewhere. So glad we found Island Animal Hospital! They are very professional and get you in for an appointment in a timely manner. The staff is great with my 2 dogs. They don’t try to sell you on anything and give great advice. We recently moved to the local area and I began looking for a vet to ensure the health of my Barkley is in top shape! I asked around and was consistently told “Island Animal Hospital”! I chose the Viera location due to closeness, and was immediately amazed by their promptness and care for my little guy. Definitely my go to Vet!

Our kitty, Ci-ci (Love Bug) has been visiting Island Animal for years. She gets her annual exams and her nails trimmed routinely. This practice is great! The entire staff including the doctors are professional and caring. Kori is fantastic as well as Paige. Paige does the best nail trims. The doctors are thorough and treat. Our kitty with love and tenderness. I highly recommend Island Animal Hospital to EVERYONE! :)

Without a doubt Island Animal Hospital is the best veterinarian clinic in Melbourne. Dr Gaudry is the most pleasant and truly caring veterinarian I have ever met. My two chihuahuas absolutely love her and her assistant Shannon.. Your pets are in good hands here!

My doggo woke the other morning with symptoms of a urinary tract infection. Peeing blood and frequency and not eating. My regular vet was booked and could not get me in so I started calling around. Island Animal got us in that afternoon and the treatment my princess and I received was wonderful. The tech was amazing and had my baby loving him quickly. The doctor was very informative, professional and kind. My baby was so dehydrated she could not get a urine specimen. So a bolus of fluids and home with antibiotics. Within the hour of receiving the fluids she was able to eat. After 1 dose of antibiotics she woke with her typical spoiled demeanor. I definitely recommend the Island Animal Hospital on Stadium Parkway.

One morning our very active 8 year old maltese Candy was lethargic, we were in a panic called Island animal hospital and were able to come in within 2 hours, the staff was fantastic answering all our questions and Dr. Gaudry came out to let us know she did a thorough examination and let us know Candy will be alright .Thank god she's slowly recovering.Highly recommend Island Animal Hospital for great care.

my 16 month old pit bull had eaten his KONG toy and was throwing up and very lethargic. I took him to Island Animal Hospital in Viera and I can't say enough good things about the way he was treated and how I was treated. He ended up needing surgery to remove the piece of toy stuck in his intestines. Sad situation but it was such a wonderful experience from beginning being greeted by Kory up front to the end, getting a phone call from Dr. Coris on his status and and how the surgery went. So professional, so kind, so compassionate, so caring. I will never take my pittie or golden doodle anywhere else.

Our English Bulldog Archie had developed a rash on his stomach and it wasn’t going away. We had a previous Vet and we were not happy with the care so thus we ended up at Island Animal Hospital based on a friend’s recommendation. They got us in on the same day and Archie is now healing well from the rash so the diagnosis was accurate. The front staff was so helpful, kind and responsive. We will definitely be taking our two dogs here from now on! Very happy with the service and the care!

They are wonderful. They have cared for my dogs for five years. Brought my 14 year old 7 lb poodle into be checked, very frightened i could lose her. The staff and vets are compassionate and understanding. They did some blood work ... checked her throughly ... no sign that she is ill ... just aging. Dr. Birkbeck is the best!
