5 stars isn't enough for this amazing practice! We had a bit of an emergency with our pup and even though we haven't been there before they took her in immediately. Within a couple of hours they diagnosed and began treating her problems. They were so informative and caring. I will continue to use them for all our fur babies and I will always be grateful for each and everyone of them that took such great care of our sweet crazy pup.

Mermaid Vet is by far the BEST vet I have ever brought by fur babies to. The staff is so polite and compassionate about the animal’s and owner’s needs. I highly recommend!

Mermaid Vet is one of the greatest in Vero. They help with the Humane Society with dental cleanings, they’re super nice and quite affordable! Tiffany the nurse explained all of the prices, made sure I was into what I was asking for. Highly recommended, always. Very nice and clean establishment, always ready to answer your questions. Very compassionate and considerate of both pets and pet parents. Dr. Braum and her team today made PJ & I very happy.

I bring my Boston Terrier 14 years old in for a nosebleed the doctor over several phone calls took the time to explain my options and in hindsight assess the situation accurately as possible and did not try to sell me treatments that would not have helped I'm very grateful for their honest advice and I'm currently working on getting her the proper care with the proper specialist that she needs hopefully things will work out and I will definitely bring her back to mermaid for care along with my Jack Russell Terrier thank you very much to the doctor and staff at mermaid !!! Excellent staff very caring best vet in vero beach

I search the Internet for the best reviews and I called mermaid vet clinic. I had a Chihuahua that was bitten by my other dog and they saw him that same day. That was hard to find in such short notice. Upon getting to the clinic I parked in the assigned parking spot called and let them know I was there and was greeted by Sarah who took our little Rudy inside and then within minutes returned with him all stitched up and sutured. Dr. Braun actually came outside with Rudy and talk to us and explained what happened and what they had to do. Sarah was delightful and made us feel so comfortable. Tiffany was so compassionate and tender with Rudy. They are a great team and I’ve definitely found a new vet. You’re lucky if you get in they really love the animals!

Best practice in town and on their way up too. Not to mention the only nonemergency clinic open on Wednesday evenings such a life savor. Great people to boot too keep up the job guys.

I took my 14+ year old dog to Mermaid Vet Hospital this morning. I was pleasantly surprised with the very good service from both vet & her staff. Sailor (one of the vet technicians) was an absolute God's send. She took care of my Cassy like a princess. Thank You Sailor, your mom & dad should be very proud of your compassionate & loving nature! I truly appreciated the non judgemental professional medical help for my beauty from the whole staff! Could not say anything else but God Bless & much success Mermaid Vet Hospital!

We love these people! We had an experience with a different local veterinarian that left us lacking, so when, just a few weeks later, we needed attention for our older dog, we chose this place. Thank goodness we did. Not only did we appreciate the professionalism & intelligence of the entire staff, but also we felt a compassion & sensitivity we had not experienced at the other vet. Dr. Peter’s objectivity combined with compassion was a Godsend as we dealt with the end-of-life decision for our dog. And, the sympathy card signed by the staff just confirmed we made the right choice in this vet. We will continue to bring our other dog here, & highly recommend others do the same.

Visited the hospital on 3/6/21 - Hospital was very accommodating for my needs and understood the gravity of the situation I was having with my pet. It’s constant need for attention was met greatly(I cannot stress this enough) by Sara - her attention to detail was astounding and her performance is quite a spectacle to observe. Dr. Hagstrom was very understanding and willing to work with me on the request I had made. I will definitely have to return soon in hopes Sara can fulfill all of my needs in the future. Recently had to bring my dog in and he’s not usually very nice to anyone besides me and my wife, the staff handled him better than expected. Generally he’s had outbursts in the past visiting past vets. They were super easy to communicate with and set up my appointment, if this hospital is in your area id recommend them to your pets and all of your friends pets as well!

Alyssa Hobbs is one of the BEST vet techs there! I’ve seen her work at previous institutions and she ALWAYS goes above and beyond for my pets! She’s careful, dedicated, responsible, and I can always feel comfortable knowing she’s taking care of my animals. 5/5 stars for the entire establishment and her!
