I brought my dog in for ear issues. She was rubbing her ears on furniture, walls etc.. crying all the time. When the Dr. came out to speak with me,he said she was over weight. I had to ask about her ears. He stated I didn't see anything but did not use a scope. I could have done that! He said maybe he is allergic to chicken. Also, kept calling her a HE. Did he not just examine my female dog! I left without resolution. I made another appointment with another vet.

Upon my revival at banfield , I had a voucher for a free pet exam . The front desk tried to convince me to get a series of test done , once I explained I diddnt have the monetary funds to pay for the various test that was recommended , the front desk staff became extremely rude and curt towards me , so far as she even suggested I return home . All I wanted was a simple preliminary exam to check the overall wellness of my pet . I ended up finally being convinced to pay for the exam that were recommended and the attitude of the staff did a complete 180 , everybody instantly became caring , cordial , and welcoming . Furthermore , I dropped my puppy off at 8:30 am I picked him up at 3:30 pm and he diddnt receive one meal all day , I’m extremely dissatisfied ……. I get this is business , and ultimately it’s all about money . But clients don’t have to be treated as such ,

As Banfields go, this one is better than most. Super nice people out front, not a particularly knowledgeable doctor and the usual problem of the bill being (much) larger than quoted over the phone.

They are good with my pets. They explain everything and prices are about the same as everyone else's. Nice staff and good doctors.

Would have given 5 stars but....Only complaint I have is you can't go in with your pet to see the doctor. You have to tell the aid in the front and hope all is relayed to the doctor. Then doctor comes out. It's ridiculous when you are paying. Everything is open even your medical doctors with a mask. I have a puppy and have not yet went inside with her.

My fiancé scheduled a checkup appointment for our dog earlier this week to find out on arrival that corporate cancelled our appointment because we did not want to renew our service. Fortunately the technician up front was able to fit us into their busy schedule and we dropped our dog off. I asked how long the appointment would be and he said a couple of hours. We already feel uncomfortable about leaving our pet in a kennel for hours (which no local veterinarian does in our area!). We had breakfast, shopped for our groceries and returned 2 1/2 hours later to see if he was anywhere close to being finished. We didn’t want to drive to Sebastian to drop off our groceries at home and then immediately drive back to the mall to get our dog. We were perfectly fine waiting for 20-30 minutes if they just told us he would be finished soon. Instead, Michael comes out to tell us that they were nowhere near ready to see our dog, that we were a walk-in and he rudely said “go home. We have all of these other animals to see today and you are last on the list. We will call you when he’s ready to be picked up”. I didn’t want to start anything so we just left, drove to Sebastian and right as we get in the door we get a phone call saying our dog is ready to be picked up. My fiancé drove back to pet smart to get our dog, just for Michael to once again say “did we even call you yet?” He should be happy that I wasn’t there to hear it. All I can say is we are done with this company and pet smart. I will never recommend their business to anyone. If you want a good veterinarian, find someone local and not this chain. Everyone has bad days but there was no excuse for Michael’s unprofessional behavior when all we did was ask a simple question. It was banfield’s mistake that we were not scheduled, maybe take some responsibility for once.

Horrible experience. They do not communicate well, with the per owner or with other professionals. What they did to our cat is outrageous. They caused a lot of of suffering and distress to our family. I will never forgive them. Will NEVER take my pets there.

Everyone here is so very nice, respectful, helpful and caring...from Mike at reception to the nurses and vets, especially Dr. Di Biase. I have revised this review from 4 stars to 5. Dr. Di Biase rectified the situation I encountered initially and referred me to an amazing neurologist! I am very satisfied with the outcome. Thank you Dr Di Biase and everyone at Banfield.

After moving to the area our dog and cat both got fleas. We took them to Banfield to get them medication and check-ups. The service my pets received was okay at best. The support staff at this location was friendly. However, when the vet came out to talk to me out my elderly dog's health, he was rude and continued to bring up a minor pre-existing issue that I had told them about before the visit as though it was the first time I was learning about it. Additionally, when my dog collapsed and had a seizure a few weeks after our visit, and we took him to Highlands Animal Hospital for an emergency visit (as Banfield had no availability that day). The vet there diagnosed him with a heart murmur and early stage congestive heart failure. We were told that there was absolutely no reason why this shouldn't have been caught at his last check-up. When at Banfield for his visit, we were actually told that his heart and lungs "sounded great." As for our cat's appointment, I was told that the oral flea treatment that she would need was not carried at that location, but that I could order it from any online pet pharmacy and that they would approve it. I submitted an order via Chewy.com and waited for over three weeks, contacting Chewy three times (assured that they would resend the request to the vet each time) before Chewy finally had to cancel my order. Then, I tried to have her medicine filled via Banfield's online pharmacy, which costs $40 more than Chewy, as I had a coupon for their site, only to have that stuck waiting for approval, too. In the meantime, I keep getting texts and emails from Banfield reminding me that I need to get my cat started on flea control meds! After the wonderful experience we had with Dr. George at Highlands, we will now be taking both of our pets there. I cancelled the still pending order for my cat's meds through Banfield, and now I will have to pay to get her seen again to get the meds that Banfield is so insistent I give her, but are not willing to help me get.

Unfortunately I had to call them Saturday morning for an emergency euthanasia appointment for my elderly kitty. They were able to fit me into their schedule. Everyone was so nice from the initial phone call to the doctor who put my kitty to sleep. Thank you!

Today i went for a first check up for my dog, I called to mention i was stuck in traffic and would be late the guy said ok thanks for calling. I get there no acknowledgement at all and when I do get a response its to tell me im more than 5 minutes late and then when asking if i want to receive email i said no & the guy says well it wont hurt my feelings if you do or not. So at that point me and my dog walks i dont have to spend my money where its not wanted. Vero beach location needs to teach the front desk guy some manners.

After getting yelled at for daring to ask for an appointment at the St. Lucie location we were lucky to have come across this location before giving up on Banfield entirely. Everyone is very customer and pet focused. Fantastic service!

Called about a dog with a potential leg break asking if we could get - maybe not - in (I suppose in my mind this is an emergency and the Banfield in Melbourne recommended them) and was told I could not receive service and didn’t even give us a name of a local vet. Going to an urgent care now but considering Banfield is a pet hospital, and this could be an emergency the response was unsympathetic and not helpful. Hospitals have emergency Would NEVER recommend this Banfield location. I have been on the wellness plan for 8 years and this was the worst service I have ever recived. Good thing my pet was not actually dying.
