We switched Vetinarians with our new French Bulldog Ozzy. We were referred to by our friends. Dr. Dawn and her assistant are amazing in there knowledge with pets and the care and love they have for them. You will love the Old Country Atmosphere driving into her place. Thank You Dr. Dawn for our wonderful experience and the care for Ozzy. We found a new GEM and can't wait to tell new pet owners of our new experience.

Highly recommend Dr. Dawn and her staff. I have entrusted them to take care of my piggies over the years and just recently, they took great care of my little fur babies. Do not reccomend this vet ! The "vet" is very rude & demeaning. Horrible customer service, no compassion. Talks as if she is above anybody & everybody. Recently went to put my dog down & was told to take as much time as I need, followed with "I will need this room available in 15 minutes". Probably only has business because she is the cheapest around.

Most arrogant n demeaning person i have ever met. Have you ever dealt with a person who is never wrong and acts like HER time is more important than yours? She told me on more than 1 occasion she is the vet, office manager n lastly was glad I went to another vet. Her record keeping is the copy of your receipt so when I handed that to my new vets front desk manager all she could do was laugh n shake her head. Not a fan. Will NEVER go back. N good luck getting ur "records " transferred.

Super friendly and laid back. Very knowledgeable and great around animals. I went through 4 or 5 vets before we found Myakka.

Just moved back to the area need a good vet for my fur baby's and a friend had recommendation of a different vet was not happy then I chose to try Myakka Animal Clinic and was very happy they are great with animals and us people as well it tuned out that we had to put one of our pet down do to cancer and they help us keep him happy and pain free until the time came and then made it much more bearable with our lose. Would reccoemend 100% all the time. Thank you so much.

Very down to earth and truly about the animals!

We had to put our 12 year old puppy down, who was rapidly becoming more uncomfortable from multiple aggressive lesions, hemangiosarcoma. We were able to pick a spot outside in the grass, lay with him, and hold him. We couldn’t have asked for more humane, gentle, or gracious experience to say goodbye. We are so grateful.

I inherited goats and knew nothing about how to cate for them. They were very informative for goat care and a very friendly staff. I look forward to our next visit.

I have trusted Dr. Dawn for over 20 years... until yesterday.. Our dog was to have teeth cleaned, nails trimmed and annal glands expressed: all this while he was sedated. He has been so sick.. bloody paws..not eating In PAIN since I picked him up His nails were so cut up.. I left her voice message.. how disappointed I was..we would NEVER be back.. she didn’t even care enough to call me As I said 20 years..

My mini pig goes here and I never was scared when I had to go to this place..they know what they are doing and never doubted my animals wouldn't come home. This is your vet for exotics.

Did a great job watching over my fur missle while we were out of town

Asher, our Bichon, has been going to the Clinic for about 5 years. We love that she is more conventional and very knowledgeable. She does not rush right into surgery. Asher had issues with his legs and instead of surgery she suggested laser treatment. He did great and it saved us tons of money as well. Her pocketbook doesn't come before her patient.

Great doc, very knowledgeable when it comes to animals. They all love her .

Great Facility. First time here but definitely will use in the future and recommend. I recently got a baby pig and all of a sudden her nose became infected, of course it’s a Saturday and I’m calling around to vets that are open and none seen pigs other then 1 other vet but of course that particular vet was off today so my baby couldn’t be seen till Monday, I called Myakka explained the situation and was told to bring her, they would squeeze her in accept they have other patience coming in that have appointments so I might have to sit and wait I said that is fine as long as she is seen, we only sat a few minutes and they had her in a room gave us antibiotics for her and sent us on our way. We are now home of course my baby still has the infection but I feel a lot better knowing she was seen got started on medication and we don’t have to wait another couple days before she can even be seen.

After moving to Venice from New Jersey we needed to find not only new Drs for ourselves but for our fur baby who has some medical issues. After doing research, googling, talking to others I decided on Dr. Dawn.. after our 1st appointment I know I made the right choice. Dr & her staff went over and above my expectations not only reviewing medical history & records but also reaching out to Vet in NJ. Very professional but very comforting and easy to talk. Over the past few months I’ve had to call with questions always takes the time to listen then advises what to do. Never too busy to answer my questions or concerns. Perfect fit for Niko and us.
