The absolute best vet I have ever been too. They take such good care of my dog Charlie. They are so helpful and genuinely care about the animals. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a vet in the tampa Bay Area.

I moved to South Tampa a few months ago and still travel to Wellswood to take my dog to the vet. They have strict rules with covid. You stay in the car and they come out to you. Which worked out in my favor. They were fast and efficient and I was speaking to the vet in under 5 minutes. They explained everything to me in detail and had an itemized receipt for everything. I was out of there in less then 30 minutes while I waited comfortably in my car.

Happy to have found the caring people at Wellswood Animal Veterinarian They have help us with our three cats and doggie. They are so loving, no matter what time you call they always there to help you, they tried to give you the best thing and work around you budget. I've been going for many years now and I'm really happy with them!

I cannot recommend Wellswood enough! Dr. Gustavo and his staff are extremely caring and reliable. They truly care about their clients- my cat ate some dental floss in the middle of the night, and although they didn’t have any available appointments they were able to squeeze him in to be looked at the next morning because of the risks involved. If you are looking for a vet that will treat your pet like it was his own, Dr. Gustavo is it!

My Lola needed surgery last week and they were wonderful to her and to me. Thanks for taking care of her as if she were yours. I have been taking my four-legged children to Wellswood Animal Hospital for years. I really didn't think anyone could top Dr. Saavedra, but I was wrong. Dr. O, Gustavo and the team are wonderful, caring and always helpful. You can be confident your pets will be treated extremely well - as if they were theirs.

My furry babies have been going to Wellswood since 2014… and have always been treated like family. They’re very attentive and professional. Always ask the right questions while giving you space to ask your own. The practitioners are well versed in their profession and go above and beyond to educate you on the diagnosis and will give you a WHY things are the way they are. Just great vibes all the way around. I even have my daughter pup coming to Wellswood and she lives in ANOTHER county lol.

Wellswood animal hospital gets a 5/5 from me! Service is all around excellent. They are very knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, caring, affordable and timely. We’ve been a loyal customer for 5+ years. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with our pets. I’ve experienced it all at Wellswood Animal Hospital, from puppy well checks to major surgery and thankfully we’ve always received quality care. Dr. Gustavo and his entire team is great!

Doctor and staff are caring, knowledgeable and proactive. My dog is ill and without hesitation my Dog Yofi is having surgery next week with them.

I can recommend Wellswood Midtown Animal Hospital 100%. Being the first time that I have a puppy, I have had too many doubts and in the hospital I have been able to find all the support, advice and timely treatment to make this experience the best, ???? in addition to professional quality, good prices and above all a lot of understanding. The security of leaving my first puppy in the hands of a professional would not change it for anything.

If I could give 10 stars, I would!! From an initial emergency appointment without being an established patient to the follow up visits, Dr. Giovannetti and his staff were amazing! I just had a baby so I wasn’t able to bring my dog myself and he was kind enough to call so I could update him on what was happening. I felt Dr. G genuinely cared about my dog’s wellbeing and resolving his issues. And the icing on the cake is that Wellswood has to have the most reasonable prices in the Tampa Bay Area for actual quality veterinary care when compared to a newly built clinic I tried before finding Dr. G. We will be patients here for as long as we live here/he continues to practice. Thank you so much!!

Both of my dogs go to Wellswood Midtown Animal Hospital and one of my dogs was just spaded by Dr.Gustavo and the operation was a success. I recommend him as a docter because he is very patient kind and attentive. All of the other employees are also very attentive and they always make sure to keep you up to date with your dogs health. I recommend this Animal Hospital because nowadays it's very hard to find a docter that is always giving full attention to our pets and that take ls care of them so well. I am very glad I was able to find them.

Wellswood Midtown Animal Hospital is hands down the best vet in Tampa. The staff is all very professional and timely with their services. The cost of all services are always extremely affordable, and you are greeted with a friendly experience and always honest feedback and treatment plans. They treat your pets as their own, and I couldn’t be more thankful to have found such a wonderful and local vet!

The staff at Wellswood is very professional and super loving and helpful! I live on the other side of town and drive all the way over here just so we can see Dr.G. I have had previous pets come here and now my new puppy comes here as well! We wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Wellswood Midtown Animal Clinic is responsive and truly cares about animals. Our cat was really sick with a respiratory infection. Dr. Gustavo examined him throughly and carefully. He prescribed an antibiotic that worked quickly. Gato Malo his now again what his name implies. We had to cancel two after care appointments due to our own health reasons and Dr. Gustavo immediately called the morning of the second cancellation. I reassured him Gato Malo was doing well. It's a great clinic with knowledgeable,caring professionals

To be honest with you it was just probably one of those things. But they canceled my first appointment when my dog had a infection in her eye, made me wait wait a week and then canceled it because the doctor had an emergency it made my dog with her I messed up wait another 4 days and then couldn't tell me what was wrong with my dog's eye and sent me or referred me to an eye doctor for dogs I paid over $90 for my first visit and last. They called me the day before my second visit and told me my appointment was at 10 a.m.. when I got there at 10 a.m. they said no it was at 3, so they make me wait an extra days I never saw the real veterinarian and they didn't know what was wrong with my dog's eye. All it was was a cyst it looked worse than it is and their veterinarian didn't have a clue

We have been extremely satisfied with the care our pup has received . Preventative up to this point and hopeful it’ll remain that way! Dr. Gus and his techs are profesional , efficient and have warm and welcoming demeanors .

This is by far the most educated and experience vet I have dealt with. I have trusted him with all my dogs. He also is the most reasonably priced. He cares about the animals and it shows.

We had our first visit with Bella last week. They were very attentive with great customer service. After moving into the neighborhood we wanted to find a good local neighborhood vet that had been in the community for a long time. We found it in Wellswood. I'm taking in our next pug soon for his vaccinations.
