Great facility and amazing staff. Have never felt like I've been nickel and dimed like some other vets in the city. Might seem a little bougie but is incredibly welcoming and not that at all. They have always given me options on treatments from low effort to high effort with prices to match, with accommodating flexibility. Will be switching the rest of my animals to this vet.

We have gone to our previous vet for 15 years. We were unable to get into them for an undetermined amount of time and we were very concerned about our golden retriever. I called and the office staff was so professional and caring and got is right in the next day. We were able to go in with her. Dr. Simmons gave us the truth up front and all scenarios possible. Follow up conversation with Dr. Combs was very informative and professional. I would highly recommend them. So sorry I didn’t switch sooner.

We have been taking our shih tzu here for Several years. She is now 18! They are amazing. The Dr. Combs is the best! She is knowledgeable, caring, and treats Princess like she is hers. The whole team is compassionate which is important when you have any animal but particularly a senior!

My puppy has always hated the vet- until we came here. She is a bit on the anxious side, and I hated dragging her into our old vet each time. She RUNS into Ox Bottom! The Fear Free Certified practice made a huge difference for us, and I am so glad to see my fur baby happy. It is also so clean, and feels much like a doctor's office. My girl was spayed here, and despite being a major surgery, she is doing amazing two weeks later and you can't even notice the scar. I am so happy to have found this place where I can count on quality pet care and my pup is at ease.

They Also didn’t kill my wallet:) thank you ox Bottom Animal Hospital

I am a new client and waited a bit to make sure the practice is what I want from my veterinarian. It is a friendly, clean, spacious practice that delivers quality care. New for me is having a cost projection for procedures. That was a nice approach when facing surgery or dental care for your pet. I like the boarding aspect of the facility as well. The practice was recommended to me by two friends and I am glad I took their advice.

Shopped and shopped for the most experienced and trustworthy doctors and staff to take care of my senior cat’s dental. I brought him to Ox Bottom for a second opinion and I’m so glad I did!! They’re the only Fear Free certified practice I could locate in the area and they took such gentle and attentive approach to him. They ran all the necessary tests to ensure my baby would wake up healthy after the sedation and kept me updated on his progress. I got a call from the doctor! Not a tech or anyone else. They had the knowledge, skill, and equipment to handle his surgery, and what impressed me the most was that they recognized my worries and explained every step of the procedure. It’s two weeks post op and the boy has fantastic breath (hallelujah!) AND best part, he’s visibly happier!!! I could tell right away he was feeling so much better and was back to his affectionate self again. Don’t wait on the dental folks and bring your furry family members here. Prompt appointments, organized, knowledgeable, and super caring staff. Kudos to the doctors and staff and thank you for caring for my darling so well. You have a loyal pet parent for life!!

They've been wonderful with our four dogs and one cat. They're informative and helpful. They're currently treating our newest addition to the fur family whom we adopted with heartworms and some other issues. They're treating her really well. We are thankful.

Ox Bottom is so wonderful! We've been taking our fur baby there since we got her at 8 weeks in March and she just loves them! They also have a super cool app that keeps appnts, shots and records up to date. Very nice!

Ox bottom Animal Hospital is a new state of the art hospital. I love Dr. Simmons. He is a very caring veterinarian. I have been taking my dog(s) to Dr. Simmons, for 6 plus years.

I moved my pets here because they were convenient, pet-focused, and I had heard good things. While I do believe they provide quality care, my overall experience has been poor. 1) Be prepared to pay...a lot. They are about 20% more expensive than others. 2) Watch for the ancillary services. They want to pack in so many scans, tests, bloodwork and more that don’t seem to be needed except to pad the bill. My dog had a tooth extraction and we had to run a battery of tests, scans, and bloodwork before and now, several weeks later, they want me to do them all again, despite no complications. 3) They don’t respect your time. It’s nice that they want your pet to be comfortable, but if the pet is uncooperative at all, they expect you to leave and reschedule. I’ve always taken my pets in on a regular schedule, but I’ve been to the vet more in the last year than the previous 3. Then, there is the follow-up. Oh goodness, the follow up. Emails, calls, texts...if you’re busy and can’t respond, they reach out even more. Despite my repeated requests, they can’t trust me to tell them when something is wrong. You’d think they would want me to keep working to afford all of the procedures they want to perform. Ultimately, I think you can trust them with your pets’ care, but I would recommend that you be independently wealthy and able to hire a full-time pet coordinator to work with them to care for your pet. As for me, I’ll go someplace else.

I'm very impressed with this veterinary practice. When we bring one of our animals in, a veterinarian always calls us back as soon as possible to tell us what's going on, if more tests are needed, what she thinks may be ailing our pet, etc. Follow-up is just terrific. Techs or receptionists call us back quickly to find out how our animal is doing after he or she has had an appointment. It's easy to make an appointment, and the receptionists are so professional and helpful. The vets have identified problems that our animals have that we didn't know about and that are endangering our animals' health. They present us with a variety of treatment options. They've gladly referred one of our cats to a veterinary ophthalmologist. The vets are extremely knowledgeable and kind, and they have a great sense of humor. Our animals approve, as well!

I'm not usually one to sit down and write a Google Review, but I can't say enough nice things about this place. I'm a college student who who found a dog on the side of the road, so I was really looking around for a place that was affordable and reliable. From the second I walked into Ox Bottom to the second I left, everyone was super friendly and professional. My dog was in love with Dr. Combs as well as the sweet receptionist and vet tech. I wish I had taken their names as well so I could compliment them directly. They were affordable and my dog got loads of love. Anyway, great place. I really trust them with the new member of my family and I highly recommend them.

I am 55 years old and I have had several pets , and moving around, have had the experience of several vets. This place is by far the worst and most expensive. They can’t ever give you a price for anything. They say follow up visits are included but they are not. We have spent $3000 this year with these young people. I’m taking my dogs back to a real experienced vet. If you don’t care about price, or trying to get anything done while they have your pets, feel free to drop a grand. If you care about your pets and you want an experienced vet, please go somewhere else. We are going back to Dr. Billings. I’ve wasted enough money with these people.

Dr. Combs and all the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating for my dog and I. My dog is sensitive to touch and vet visits can be stressful for her. All the staff worked with me to ensure that the visit was as comfortable as possible for my dog! Their communication was quick, clear, and thorough, and I feel confident that I could call or come back to ask questions or get a follow up. Thank you Ox Bottom staff!

I had the pleasure of working for Dr. Combs and Dr. Simmons (and recently Dr. Brewster) for 2 years before I moved to a different city. The set of doctors at Ox Bottom are the most trustworthy and knowledgeable doctors that I have ever worked for or taken my pets to. In fact, I’ve been having a very difficult time working for different doctors in my new city, and I’ve even traveled back to Tallahassee just to have my dog seen by Dr. Combs when she wasn’t feeling well a few weeks ago. The doctors at Ox Bottom always offer the top medical care for your pets, and always thoroughly go over pricing with you before any diagnostics or treatments are completed. I can assure you as someone who has seen all of the ins and outs of this hospital and has the medical knowledge as well, that your pets are always in the best of care here. I will be traveling back to Tallahassee to bring my pets to Ox Bottom when they need (non-emergent of course) care. A 7 hour drive (one way) is a pretty good determination of the level of medical care your pets will receive here. I love the Ox Bottom family and my dogs do as well.

Brought my dog Loki in yesterday for a neuter, and after finding a complication, they were quick to inform me and explain everything to me so I could understand, and treat him properly. They were more then willing to work with my budget. But most importantly they took great care of my dog and me! They were so nice, friendly, and overall awezome, although I paid more than intended, it was worth it.

Ox Bottom Animal Hospital is fantastic! The staff is really friendly and easy to communicate with. They are great with our pups which makes it easy to take them for appointments since they do not fear a vet visit. They actually get …
