I'd been to other veterinarians but when I found Novey Animal Hospital and spoke to Dr. Novey (now retired) about my failing, yet still un-diagnosed Russian Blue cat, she suggested right away what might be wrong and suggested an exam and x-ray. We discovered that he had asthma. And with a changed diet, addressing a food allergy, he recovered. Novey kept my cats going for a full life. I've been with this hospital ever since. The other vets here are also competent and compassionate and the staff responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Novey Animal Hospital.

Too many rules. Lots of conversation concerning medical terms that aren't generally know by the public. The whole place is strictly regimented and if one doesn't understand the gorgon one is totally out of luck. There are new medications that I was not aware of and didn't know if these were actually suitable for my pups. No help from Novey. Different countries have different regulations. In my case, you ignored my ignorance on the laws of the U.S. Trying to start a new life back in my state and country has been challenging. Your bedside manner needs work. I have three dogs, so getting them up to speed with their meds was quite, quite expensive, but you treated me like a dead beat. I am working at getting work. Being 73 years old does not help. One of these days I will overcome this handicap, but I will not be spending any of my salary at your office!

Novey Animal Hospital is my Go-To, well-care veterinary clinic. The veterinarians are professional, thorough and caring of each pet's/owner's situation.

Brought my old kitty to the vet for a potential upper respiratory issue. They were very friendly, professional, and helpful! I really appreciate their system in mitigating the spread of airborne diseases. Overall a really great vet and I'm glad they were recommended to me. Already scheduled another appointment with them for my other cat! :)

Novey has been my cats' vet since 2018. They are absolutely wonderful. Genuinely caring and helpful staff, great care for the kitties, and excellent COVID safety protocol.

Best Vet in Tallahassee they actually care. We have had 3 dogs their and they always come home happy and taken care of without a crazy bill. Thanks Novey for the special care you give to my fur children

We love Novey for all four of our pets. We have used them over the past couple years for our two cats and two dogs and have had wonderful experiences every time. I trust them fully with all of our pets from advice on good diets for our cats to emergency treatment and everything in between. They are always kind, helpful, and patient with us and our pets to the point that our pets don't fight us to go to the vet.

Welcoming, kind, compassionate, competent, & professional. I was traveling and my dog Henry started limping. They were the only veterinary clinic that was willing to see Henry late in the day. Henry loved them! And they had adorable kittens for adoption that you can watch for entertainment if you need to wait for a bit. I wish I lived nearby so they could be Henry's new vet!

Dr. Novey built more than a business that charges to care for your animals. Her passion to care for members of your family was apparent in every manner and without exorbitant fees that others charge in often times of crisis and emotion. There’s never a doubt that this staff, both past and present genuinely cares for you as a client and your pet as a patient. They always welcome you and call your pet by name, going above and beyond to remind you they are there to help. I’ve always felt most comfortable leaving my pets throughout the years at Novey and trust the advice and medical care given here. I’ve never been steered wrong. As a small local business owner myself, reading these negative reviews upsets me because I understand that people have bad days and in this case, emotions run high when it involves the pets you care so deeply for. Sadly, the moment you decide to leave a public comment in a poor light, is the moment it can hurt a small business. Especially in times such as a pandemic. It’s important to consider all sides and work towards a resolution instead of going for the kill in a rage. It certainly doesn’t fit the mold in this case. When I had to put my sweet loyal golden retriever to rest, it was a heart shattering experience. I’ll never thank Dr. Novey enough for the lovely chocolate chip cookie picnic she had for my old boy and our family to say our last goodbyes. I’m forever grateful.

Clean,Polite People but after refusing services in writing on their own questionar they still try to talk you into more services.

Always feel they are providing the best of care... but it'll cost you.

Took my friends dog their first shot very nice people very clean place entrance is facing the parking lot easy access I'd recommend this vet In response to what could have made you 5-star my apologies although you guys are wonderful being in management having to fill out reviews you always have to leave room for improvement I didn't see anything wrong so a 4-star in my book is perfect times change and people change so you have to leave one star for improvement when the time comes you guys are wonderful

I don't like having to leave my pets and not be able to stay with them I know it's still part of the Covid-19 protocol but I don't like it.

Novey doctors and staff are top of the line. Drs. Scarpinato and Hall take their time with their furry clients. They are great at figuring out what problems my pups are having and won't give up until solutions are found. They are also compassionate with the humans that come in stressed and worried about their "kids". Staff members are competent and knowledgeable. My dogs have had many problems in the last few months but I am always confident that problems will be solved by this great team of detectives!

Novey Animal Hospital is outstanding. It’s full of great vets and staff that truly care about every patient and customer. I’ve been taking my dogs there since 1997. Dr. Novey is a legend and all of the vets she’s hired to work with her are of her ilk.

Too expensive was quoted between 1200 to 1800 for a growth removal I went to animal aid and they only charged me roughly $400 if you have the money I'm sure it's a great place but in my opinion extremely expensive

I have going to Novey Animal Hospital for years. My pets have always been taken care of here.

For those who may not want to read the whole review: - Novey almost killed my cat! - The front desk yells, uses poor language, hangs up, not answer your call if you are not happy with their service. No customer service at all. - The vet has no shame. No skill. Not able to communicate. - Overcharge. - Charge for items you did NOT ask for and is not required (e.g. anxiety medication for the next time you want to take your cat to the vet - optional!). I am not going to take my cat to Novey next time. It is fraudulent to charge people for what the client does not wish!. - Threaten to call police if I pursue my investigation about their treatment on my cat. More details: Novey is by no means AN animal hospital. It is a slaughter house! I took my cat to this place for vaccination. They called me to let me know that my cat is ready to go. I drove to the clinic and When I got there, I called the number they put on the window for pick-up. They told me that I have to wait for 15 minutes because my cat was not ready!!!! After 25 minutes, they called and I could pick up my cat. I had NOT seen my cat this aggressive before. They told me that the cat has anxiety and give me two medications for next time visit and charged me for what I did not want. I do not intend to take my cat back there and asked for a refund, Of Course they refused. I took my cat home. He has since been vomiting, has not eaten, is scared and run away from us, hide in corner. I am talking about a very social cat, he is 7-year old, and he loves people. If you have ever had a cat, you. should know that this is a sign of misbehavior. I have no idea what Novey gave to m cat or if they beat my cat such that he is even scared of his shadow. I called the so-called hospital and made complaint. They first tried to put the blame on the vaccine producer. Unbelievable! They refused to tell me what they have done to the cat so I told them I will sue them. THe front desk started yelling and all of a sudden she hung up. My wife called 5 times later and finally they picked up but transferred the call to the vet. She was claiming that I raised my voice, threatened to sue ( as long as I know it is a citizen right to sue a company/institute if they need to. It is legal to sue!), and I used vulgar language. Wow! it was like elementary school again. They were for sure reading from transcript. They were ready to accuse me and making things up to deny all the issues they caused. Please read other people reviews. Most people who wrote bad reviews are cat owners. This place is not for cats. I took my cat to another hospital later in the afternoon. I did not tell the vet what happened and asked him for his professional opinion. He said the cat must have been beaten or any type of misbehaved treatment. Again, the new vet did not know about the story. I was on the phone with the front desk for 20 minutes before she yelled and hung up. Next time my wife called, This time, vet picked up and spent 20 minutes disrespecting my wife. When I finally told her that you are being rude, she responded you silly people!! She has no shame. If someone treats other people like this, they won't treat your pets appropriately then. 20 minutes the front desk + 20 minutes the vet. and they claimed they are super busy and don't have time to take a look at my cat and see what is wrong with him. This is an screenshot of the call with the vet who spent 20 minutes just yelling and swearing because I told the front desk I will sue them!

They have destroyed what Dr. Novey created. The place no longer cares about the animals like they used too. They are "Closed" and will never reopen. I am taking my girls to another vet where they care for the animals............you should do the same.

Dr. Novey and Scarpinato are very good at what they do, and always exercise utmost care in the treatment of our dog. The staff are also super friendly and accommodating. Cymbalta is always excited to stop by for his checkups!

We love Novey! From boarding, to check ups, to the time the Doberman ate socks and had to have emergency surgery, there isn’t a vet in TLH we trust more. The staff treats our dogs like their own and we haven’t had a bad trip in the 3+ years since we found Novey (and we’ve seen them quite a bit in those 3 years with all the mischief our Greyhound and Doberman get into)

I've been taking my cat to Novey animal Hospital for 8 years now. We recently added a puppy to our family and now he goes to Novey too. The doctors are AMAZING!!!!! They take the time to really explain and provide valuable feedback about your fur babies. They are beyond caring and helpful. We never feel rushed or dismissed. They care about each and every animal that comes through their doors. The front staff are always welcoming and helpful. They are very pleasant to work with on the phone and in person. I recommend Novey animal Hospital to everyone. They are beyond the best!!!!!

Love, love, and more love to Novey Animal Hospital! They are top-notch vets with friendly, professional staff. I never felt pressured, only informed about what is best for our pet. Recently moved out of the Tallahassee area, and needed our cat's vet records quickly. Called, verified my info, and they emailed the records within 2 minutes ????

My family and I have come here for years and they always treat you like family and always make themselves available to you. We love Moody's! The staff is knowledgeable and sweet.
