Live Oak Animal Clinic Summerfield, Florida

I love Live Oak Animal Clinic. It is the only place I will bring my dogs. From fertility stuff to routine maintenance they all go there. The staff is professional and I feel the vets don’t what is necessary to treat the animal, not what is necessary to run up the bill. Great practice with great vets. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended! I brought my cat here with an emergency that needed surgery. They urgently prepared my cat and performed surgery and was able to save my cats life. Every staff member is very kind. Stephanie working the phone is polite. Sara the vet tech is gentle. Doctor Rakes is knowledgeable. (Look up her education and history on the website, wow!) This vet is the best place to bring your pet for any need big or small. Plus their prices are very affordable. This is my new and only vet from now on.

New to the area . I took my 2 dogs in for heartworm check and Bordetella. The vet did not do the exam in front of me ? But did it in the back when tech took blood ? She introduced herself and proceeded to tell me what flea and tick medication to give . I explained that I have been using for the last 16 1/2 years on my dogs a certain kind . She talked down to me and stated ,” that kind doesn’t work !” I told her it works for my dogs . She was very rude in Not letting g me speak and interrupting me ! Was consistently trying to control the conversation ! So , if you think for yourself , make decisions based on your own research . Don’t go here . I felt very disrespected !

Just had our first visit this morning to bring our dog in to be neutered and I’ve never seen a staff so clueless. We’ve raised animals our whole entire lives from dogs to show horses and won’t be coming back here. Very unprofessional and rude!!!

I moved to Florida recently and tried really hard to find a veterinarian clinic right for my two pups. I am so happy I found Live Oak. They are clean, efficient, reliable, helpful...I could go on. Very reasonable and wonderful docs and techs. So glad I found you!!

These people are the kindest, most affordable, and friendliest veterinary office I've ever seen. They are not greedy and they don't try to drain you dry getting teeth work done either. I also had to recently put done my mom's 20+ yrs old cat. The experience was only good due to the wonderful staff. I brought nothing except a towel. They gave me a box. And a few days later, I got a sympathy card signed by the entire team. Best Vet prices ever! Thank you from poor pet owners barely getting by as it is. Thank you for not being like the rest. Compassionate care of my cat when he unexpectedly developed renal failure.

Dr. Roberts came to our home today to euthanize our little Sadie. She was so gentle and compassionate--we couldn't be more pleased with her service. All the vets at Live Oak are top-notch!

A dog who meant a lot to be had to be euthanized. I was very emotional and everyone was great there except one lady who showed no compassion or understanding. She was doing her job and I understand but her lack of people skills really bothered me and I had to leave the room. RiP to my love and I hope no one has to experience this. To the test of the staff...thank you for everything

Best vet I've ever been to

I don't like to give 5 stars but so far they have been great and the prices reasonable. They up to date. You can sit in their waiting room!

My dog, Nora, had a sty on her eye lid. My then current vet recommended surgery at a bit over $1000. Live oak offered to do the same surgery for around $400 but suggested that we wait. The sty shrank due to antibiotics and eventually fell off. They have been caring at all times.

We where traviling and our 9 week old puppy became sick. They made room for her that day. They were absolutely fantastic. Everyone there from Chelsea receptionist, Jenna the vet tech, Dr. Roberts. Thank you for being so caring and taking such good care of Blue. Recommend 100%

I can't share enough POSITIVES on this facility. I was taking my Sheepadoodle to another vet in The Villages and the service, cost and attitude was disappointing. I am so impressed with Live Oak Animal Clinic. They just spayed my 10 month old puppy with not a problem at all. It was flawless. They called two times to check on her. Everyone in the office is friendly, professional and truly cares about your pet for 30% less the cost of other places.

They are great vets and very nice. Clean waiting area and exam rooms. My family has been going there for years and we have no complaints.

Poor customer service, immediately reacted poorly to my dog and acted “scared” before even meeting our dog bc of his size. Dogs barked at him so he reacted naturally and barked and bc of size you said my dog had behavioral problems. Just poor poor customer service

First of all, we moved from other state and our dog needed she year check up, which they did a great job. Secondly, our dog need special food and was told to order from the vet, which I love to support local business instead of chains. But places the order on a thursday instead of Tuesday and they missed the whole order up. They called to say it was in. And nothing was in. Very disappointing, and may look for a other vet.

I called for price for rabies vaccine and nail trimming. After service was render they added an unexpected amount for Office visit that was not told earlier nor charged on previous visit. They were rude about it. When I called back weeks after to get proof of vaccine, they said I owe a bill. I was not rude but the receptionist was angry and hung up on me. Will never take my dog there again.

My 7 year old Chinese Shar Pei has become a brand new dog!

Anytime you have to get your cat or dog into this clinic they will get you in, Friendliest staff . They also do house calls I'm totally impressed. ????????????????

The team at Live Oak has cared for our 2 chihuahuas, Rio and Maya and 1 hound, Raider for many years. They have monthly nail maintenance and allergy shots. So, we see all the techs on a regular basis. We find each of them to be caring and professional. Recently the "old man" hound started on injections for his stiff joints and it has made a noticeable improvement in his gait and energy levels. Thank you Dr. Roberts for the suggestion. In October Raider needed surgery, Dr. Rakes did a great job and was reassuring that he would be ok. We are always welcomed by the team at the front desk. Mary and Chelsea know our fur babies and understand how special they are to us. There are plenty of veterinarians near our home and we drive passed all of them to bring the dogs to Live Oak!

They treat our dogs like family.we don't go as often.Mom and Dad getting old.But very kind and helpful.

There are not enough words that i could say to express how wonderful Live Oak Animal Clinic was to me and my family. Our baby Shyla was 16 years old and had dementia as well as other health conditions. When we made the hardest decision to say goodbye the entire staff at Live Oak were there for us the entire time. They were very gentle, compassionate, caring, and truly felt our pain. We could never thank them enough. To all of you at Live Oak, thank you from the bottom of our heart. I am from out of town and my dog was having problems. They gave me an appointmenr the same day. No waiting. Helped her out tremendously! The vet even called us later to find out if Bailey was doing better. She is back to fetching her ball and barking. Thankyou!
