We were out of towners and they provided great emergency care to my Zoey and to her humans. I would recommend their services to anyone needing them.

My family and I went on a trip to St. Augustine Beach for Christmas this year. On our first day, my Chihuahua Nellie ate sand, and then became very ill on Christmas Eve. We brought her to St. Augustine Regional Veterinary Emergency Center, and Dr. Pokorny along with the entire staff took such excellent care of her. She stayed there for all of Christmas day and night and was given IV fluids, which helped her pass all of the sand and avoid anticipated surgery. I want to thank the selfless staff and Dr. Pokorny for working throughout Christmas and throughout the night to save my baby and all of the others that came in. This is a phenomenal animal hospital and the care that we received resulted in a true Christmas miracle for my entire family.

Thank you for caring. I was able to bring in a rescue gull with a broken wing. Awesome people.

I brought my cat her when she was very sick and whatever shots they gave her worked immediately. As soon as we left she started feeling better and she began eating and her swelling went down. The doctor was also very considerate when it came to the cost of things and advised me best on what treatment my cat should get while also being mindful of the price. I would have preferred if the exams happened in the room with me instead of in the back so I can see what they do, but overall I'm very thankful for their help and I would bring her here again.

We had to bring our older Dachshund in early one morning as he was in a lot of pain and uncomfortable. They got him hooked up to an IV quickly and did some blood work and were able to diagnose right away. Layla was great in explaining everything going into detail, the process was very smooth and I am very thankful they were open and we lived closed by. Staff was very polite and facility was nice and clean!

We had an emergency on a Sunday afternoon & were over an hour away. I called to make sure they were open & get directions. When we got there they knew exactly who we were & were ready to take in our boy. Sadly he didn't make it. But the staff here provided the best possible care, they truly went above and beyond to keep our pup comfortable and made sure to keep us informed on his treatment. We are forever grateful for the very compassionate and capable staff at St. Augustine Regional Veterinary.

Horrible. First emergency vet I seen that denied a payment plan or mail billing even though it’s posted outside they do it. Denied my cat because we didn’t have 300 in cash right then and we had to leave. Also tried to say we couldn’t afford to care for my animal and tried to get me to surrender him multiple times then handed me a paper of places that take surrenders. The lady next to me took her sick cat and they kept trying to overdose her cat/ euthanize it without permission also I should include. My cat is 100% better now but that place is a joke. The lady in the waiting room had to demand her cat back and leave also because they charged her for things they didn’t even do. This place doesn’t help any animal they just try to euthanize and overcharge you.

I want to thank the staff that took care of my baby Mia last night. When she arrived we were told she would probably pass away there and that her prognosis wasn’t good. Her lungs were filled with blood and she was immediately put on oxygen. The staff didn’t give up on her. Morning came and Mia was still hanging on and when she was transferred to a daytime vet clinic, she didn’t need oxygen at all anymore. Less than 18 hours after her trauma, she’s home and doing good. Thank you for saving our baby. We will be forever grateful.

I had my 17 year old cat put to sleep. They were the sweetest, most kindest people at this place. They treated my baby wonderful. I will sure return if I ever need an after hours vet. Thank you for helping me get through the pain, at that time.

I had an emergency with my cat last night and took her to St. Augustine Emergency Vet. Everyone was very caring and compassionate. Things were explained to me and I felt that my cat was thoroughly examined and treated. The bill is what I was expecting and was worth every penny. I highly recommend.

I brought my dog in the middle of the night and I cannot speak more highly of the staff. Unfortunately I had to make the hardest decision as a dog mom, but the care for him and kindness shown to us both is something I will never forget. I was able to be with him as he passed and it was very peaceful given the circumstances. Thank you for your care and compassion towards us. It meant everything to me. I also want to add that the facility was clean and Covid precautions were followed. Everyone wore masks and hand sanitizer was readily accessible throughout the clinic. Thank you again for your kindness.

Amazing care! Had to rush our 14 year old cocker spaniel to them around 10pm because she started screaming (literally) and was extremely agitated. They were thoughtful and helpful. Suspected she stepped on a fire ant (new to us being from MD!) and the worse was over. The technician, talked us through what had probably happened, since our girl was already calming down) and was very insightful and caring. If needed, would completely trust them with any one of our "children". Thanks again for helping us!

To everyone out there that loves your pets please please take them to this place they saved my cats life they knew immediately what was wrong with her , so to me it look like her intestines were hanging out after giving birth they so I ended up taking her to a place on San Marco Street which they somehow fit me in so I was happy. They had good ratings , but my experience there was anything but that. The Dr. there put my cat through so much agony and said he didn’t really know what he was really seeing that was hanging out so he shoved it back in as she screamed to the point where I had to go outside and he did it again with no sedation. If you love your pets please take it to the Saint Augustine Regional vet . Dr. Eva and Billy who constantly came out and there was another doctor that knew immediately what was the matter Dr. Eva took very good care of her and so did the other doctor. . They were absolutely amazing made sure my cat was very comfortable throughout the whole process and the one kitten that we have. My animals are my everything and I thank them so much for everything and treating my cat Angel and her one kitten they nursed while in surgery . If you want things done right and your animals to be comfortable please please I can’t express enough how wonderful they all were . Thank you to each and everyone of you I am forever grateful

Worst animal care I have seen in my 56 years. In January my sis and I took her 8 year old dog in on a Sunday, dog had a stomach issue. Bedside manner awful. Ended up not able to "save" Zoey. We were told she had Parvovirus; she was completely an inside dog. Three other dogs in household never got sick and sister was tested and she was negative. We were not able to say goodbye. We had to stay in car (I get cuz of Corona) but they could have brought her out to my sis to say goodbye. They NEVER called my sis to see how she was!!! Disgusting! AND never received paw prints we paid for! ????????

Anna was very helpful when I brought my chihuahua in with a fever at 1 am. Because of covid, we were not able to go in, but she made sure to relay all of the information to us. His fever ended up breaking while he was there and Anna suggested we just wait a few minutes to check again before spending the money to do blood work. In the end, his temperature returned to normal and they decided to not even charge us for the visit. She told us if anything changes we could call and they would help over the phone or to bring him in. Made a stressful situation so much better.

My dog became suddenly ill and I brought him in. The first night I left with a care plan on the off chance he might recover. The next day, he was not improving and began to further decline. I called them at least six times, each time the staff was very patient and kind. The next night I had to bring him back to be euthanized. Dr. Picourney ( not sure about spelling) was so kind and compassionate as was the rest of the staff. That is a terrible situation as a pet parent, but they made it as good as possible. I highly recommend this practice, there was a wait, but it's and emergency clinics that has to be expected. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with them.

My baby was sick and they took great care of her. They even let her keep her blankie with her so she would be more contacta from me. Maggie is doing much better and is getting back to her old self again.

I had been to two different counties and three Vets before going here. I was at my witts end thinking I was going to lose my beloved dog. The Vets here are Amazing. Staff amazing as well. They explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I will never go anywhere else for an emergency. Thank you from me and Gizmo ❤

Our sweet Sampson had to have an IV at home all night, per his normal veterinarian's orders, and of course, at 2am we had an issue with it and I panicked. My husband brought him here and Shea was very helpful and kind in helping us. Thank you!!

Took my dachshund in Sunday. They were very busy, but incredibly efficient, professional, and kind. I didn’t have to ask 100 questions. They communicated everything I needed to know and in a timely manner. Took fantastic care of my pup, and followed up with a phone call a few days later. Their prices were reasonable, and I appreciated affordable options. Combine all of this with the doc’s expertise = trust. My little buddy (Xander) and I say “thank you” with big “virtual hugs”????

We recently took our kitten in here and saw Dr. Tyler. He was super attentive, explained everything very well. The initial cost was high, and it's going to be high because its an ER, but in the end they didn't use as much and we actually got money back. Imo, they're very honest people. I wish Dr. Tyler had a practice and I'd take our pets there. I also greatly appreciate the fact that they are doing curbside and wearing masks to help prevent the virus. No complaints from me, and I would absolutely take my pets there in an emergency again.

I took my cat there this morning at 4 am. I was scared and felt so frazzled, but the staff was kind and reassuring. They offer multiple options based off price point and have good resources for other vets and low cost clinics. I will never regret coming here. I wish I could hug them. Thank you. 9 month update- The clinic sent me a letter thanking them for this review this week. I thought it was odd (endearingly), but the letter reminded me of how scared I was, but how much better they made feel during a dark moment in my life. It reminded me how thankful I was, and still am. My letter was rained on, but I'm keeping it forever. Artemis is doing better than ever and if it werent for them, again, my little cat wouldnt be here. Thank you for the letter and thank you for being a great place for healing. ♡
