I suffered a terrible decision for a 17 year old pet and this Veterinary hospital was so good to me and my beloved Tomahawk .

I wish I could give 10 stars to the staff and the doctor is amazing! I have been here about 4 xs over 4 years. The 1st time my dog ate grass in a neighbors yard. They gave me free advice I put him on this diet and he was better immediately. 6 months ago my dog's leg went out and he couldn't walk they gave him an x-ray medication a full exam for such a great price. 2 days ago I took him to a clinic in Tampa the clinic in Tampa charged me $170 to take his temperature and give him a minimal exam. I waited till the next day yesterday and brought him into Hernando animal hospital they gave him a full exam medication a shot for such an affordable price. These people really care about animals a lot I would never bring my pet to another place. The same thing happened where he couldn't walk at all he had to be put on a cart to be brought in . Today he got up and walked himself to the bathroom whereas before he couldn't even go on his own. I highly recommend this place they will help you care for your animal they won't turn you away these are amazing people.All my Thanks to them and to God ????

One of the worst "Bedside manor" I have ever encountered. Would not recommend.

Great personnel, caring, wonderful and friendly doctor

I have used them for years. We have 3 cats currently Dr Chris and the whole staff are the best. My Bixby just got fixed and they did an excellent job. He came home and he showed no signs of discomfort. Thanks again.

Husband takes Dog to Vet for office visit. Purpose of visit is to purchase Heart Guard. Told $37 for office visit plus cost of Heart Guard. Receipt says paid over $225 for all shots and tests that were not required. To begin with why an office appointment to purchase Heart Guard? Why were shots and tests given that are not due until March 2022? Do not waste your time or money. Find a Veterinarian that cares about your animals more than herself!

Very caring staff. If it is something the vet tech can do they don't charge an office call.

Was told I couldn't be with my pet when they euthanized her because I didn't have an appointment. Was told I can make an appointment for Monday and be with her when they did it. I was the only person there.The person at the front desk has a zero bedside manner. I will never be back

The best doctor and staff I've been to. Janet, Nathan, Stephanie and the entire staff are caring and professional. Today I let my beloved companion redness pitbull, Money, go to heaven. I know he felt no pain as they put him to sleep. I'm grateful ????.

Dr. Gretzinger and all of her staff are wonderful. Always have given our dogs and cat quality treatment, mixed with kindness. Also, reasonable fees.

Absolutely amazing! The staff is wonderful. Great souls seem far and few; but at Hernando Animal Hospital, the love and commitment is absolute. I cant thank them enough! They saved my daughter Paris, when she injected a whole block of rat poison. The vet and staff saved her life. Thank you beyond words

First of all, the Dr has such a limited knowledge that she will send you to BluePearl if your pets problems are anything beyond allergies or a local infection. She hires young and untrained vet staff so that they can be worked to death and abused freely. The regulars know how often this place goes through new hires. They have no idea how to safely and efficiently restrain animals, hence the lack of proper care and injury. I dare you to peek into the “treatment area” to see what I mean. X-rays are brutal… especially if you have a larger dog. I’ve seen it all. The Dr will not hesitate to verbally abuse her staff or throw a file in their face. No one ever has any idea what’s going on because the whole practice is SO outdated. But no worries, the Dr is such a push over that all you have to do is complain or cry and she’ll give you a discount on your visit! There is something seriously wrong with this place… I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I thought the doctor was very nice and well mannered. However I was there for one day of work to see if I liked it. Thinking I was going to get paid for being there and they never paid me for the day. It should have been easy to just cut a check. I went in thinking since I’m working and a girl even wrote my hours down that I’d get paid for the day. When asked Ruth told me I wasn’t getting paid for that day. I’ll be going to the labor law on this one if some ring isn’t done. I’ll change my review once something is done.

Excellent vet, excellent serv. easy location to find

Today was my first visit to this veterinarian. My poor dog was suffering with a serious ear infection and some bad skin allergies when my regular vet cancelled on us last minute. I called around multiple places and no one would help her except the Hernando Animal Hospital. They fit her in, next day! I really appreciate the entire staff in caring for my girl. She's not the easiest patient and they really helped us both feel comfortable. My doggo will be good as new thanks to you all. Thank you so much for caring for her when no one else would. I appreciate it more than you know.

This is one of the best Vets in hernando. Price is great, Facility is Always Very Clean and the Staff and Doctor are always Extremely Friendly and Helpful.
