I think that so far they’re pretty awesome. I am very thankful for meeting Dr. J Harris to care for my African Grey and diagnose him properly. If you need an Avian vet, SEE HIM first. I am also thankful for Dr. Talavera and Dr. Scherr who have seen, diagnosed, and operated successfully on my 12 year old dog. So far, the attentiveness, communication, knowledge, and professionalism has been great. The staff at front are also very efficient and helpful. I’ve been to many vets as we have always had multiple pets, and being new to the area it was hard to find someone trustworthy and available at first. We are pretty sure that we will stay at VCA South Dade and will continue bringing our babies in to them.

I love the vets here. They are 100% amazing and the receptionists are super helpful.

Through regular preventative care the vet caught a life threatening condition early and worked with me through the course of treatment over nine months to determine the treatment plan and manage side effects from the medications. It was a along road but I'm thankful for the care and she received. I fully believe she recovered because it was caught early by a knowledgeable vet. My dog also started this health crisis with significant vet anxiety and now she is excited to see all the staff at vca south dade!

I am so happy we chose them to take care of our baby Pelé. We brought him when he unfortunately passed away to have him cremated and they gave us the most beautiful surprise once we picked up his ashes. We cried so much in happiness when we saw their surprise and could not have been happier to have chosen such a caring place for our baby. Thank you so much ❤️

DO NOT BRING YOUR BUNNY, MAKE MORE RESEARCH BEFORE!!! Sincerely I take my bunny there without checking reviews, it looks that they focus in common pets and don't want to deal with small pets that look weak. Everything is a learning, my advice find a good vet for bunnies and then buy a bunny.

This was the first time in two years that I have been able to take my dog in side the vets office with the vet and see him personally face-to-face. They are an excellent veterinary facility, they treat the animals and their owners with the upmost respect, I would highly recommend taking your pet to see them I’m not going anywhere else but them from now on!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO THIS VET IF THEY NEED IMMEDIATE TREATMENT. Our sweet dog died because of this vet's negligence to her situation. Our dog needed a particular medicine, doxycycline and they refused to give it to her. She was running a sudden fever and this vet charged us over $1000 dollars for unnecessary tests like cancer when this was a sudden illness. They refused to keep her over night when she clearly needed immediate attention. Our phone calls and texts were also ignored by the doctors about her condition. They are absolutely irresponsible and only care about money. My mother was also ignored by the woman at the front desk when she brought our dog in for help. She called before hand and said it was an emergency. They treated it as if it was nothing. Never go to this vet if you want to save your dog's life. This is unbelievable. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Our dog is dead because of them.

My bearded dragon was feeling sick 5 days ago and barely wanting to move and not wanting to eat and his back legs started shaking. After seeing Dr. Harris today he prescribed antibiotics, an anti-inflammatory and a meal supplement for my bearded dragon! took him home to sunbathe and he is starting to be more active again! praying that the treatment gets my beardie back to normal again but definitely recommend to take your reptile here! ❤️

Would give it zero stars, friend came here with her two guinea pigs, on separate occasions. First guinea pig died in my arms with my friend sobbing to her mom on the phone because she couldn’t afford the outrageous emergency fee and then the rest of the costs, because of her not being able to pay they refused to help her guinea pig and in turn died. Third died from a medication that stops the appetite completely and friend was never informed about this nor was told what was happening to her guinea pig. My friend texted the veterinarian saying she needed help the day her guinea pig died but was only answered the day after and with a condescending attitude.

I am deeply saddened that I had to lose my guinea pig. I was prescribed medicine and never told what their illness was or any of the side effects it would cause, I had to google what they were. My Guinea pig had passed away and I was told “for the future if a Guinea pig stops eating it’s considered an emergency”. In my opinion this is not something you want to say after you lose your beloved pet. I will respectfully not be coming here anymore as I feel it isn’t about the pets, it’s about the money.

Have felt very secure in all my Parrot's health related issues. Staff has been very welcoming, extremely helpful with scheduling. Dr. Harris very knowledgable, efficient, caring, and great with follow up.

The must painful experience, my pet got in for an injure on a leg and got out with medication for the inflammation according of the so call Dr. Whom never did an X-ray and he was sure that was a nerve damage. With out doing the slightest exam. The dosage applied to my pet kill her, Thanks to the incompetence of the Dr responsible for just checking a leg. The worst. Don't take your beloved pet to this place.

We were nervous trying to establish vet service for our boys- Oscar and Porter. We’re recent transplants to South Miami from Indiana. The staff at VCA South Dade Animal Hospital totally put us at ease. They gave us adequate time to make decisions for our pets and were not pushy one way or the other, which we really appreciate. Dr. Talavera was wonderful and we look forward to her taking care of the boys. Thank you so much everyone!!

The doctor and assistant were incredibly helpful, professional and kind, they helped out my turtles and now they’re healthy! Amazing service! ????

This is the only vet I was able to find to treat my little parakeet, Dr Harris gave my chiquitina a hope and after a month every day she is getting better and better. Thanks Dr. Harris.

Excellent. My bunny clip nails and routine check

Here at VCA South Dade Animal Hospital everybody was so caring and loving towards dogs, and they had a very cute on at the front desk. Very professional environment while still being very kind. They helped my little pup with a spot on diagnosis and the perfect treatment. As you would expect with any animal hospital it was a bit pricy but completely worth it.

I lost ???? my 13 year old Dachshund. They came to my car to take him in. They explained the charges. The Vet came out and explained everything and his chances of surviving. They were compassionate and notified me at least 4 times in 12 hours.

My 2 turtles go here, the doctor is super knowledgeable and i always have an easy time getting my turtles seen. Theyre eager to help and my little ones are healthy and happy thanks to them.

Great customer service, they have knowledge about animals not just cats and dogs, fairly price on service, they give you a discount when you really need it. They explain you with a good detail what is going on with your pet. I received service for my cat, hamster, cocktail and rat and on each time I feel welcomed, Satisfied with the service

My bunny went in because he was not eating anymore and he was in so much pain he didn’t even want to walk. We got to go in as an emergency and they determined it was GI stasis but not a bad case and that everything should be back to normal by the next day. They just gave him medicine. The next day my bunny had diarrhea and he wasn’t even drinking water, we took him in and after paying 560 the first time they wanted to charge 570 for him to stay so they can monitor him. Why wouldn’t they do that from the first time we brought him mostly that it’s the same amount of money and he was in pain. They didn’t even take blood work. Long story short we took bunny back so he can get fluids and get monitored as soon as he got in the clinic he passed away. I can not help but wonder if he still would’ve been here if we took him somewhere else.

Great staff and quick service

Went to see Dr. Talavera for my Blue and Gold Macaw "Kiwi". I am so pleased with their services. Dr. Talavera and her staff are friendly and knowldegeable. The Dr. took the time to ask questions about my pet and after all the exams were done she took the time again to explain to me the results. The next day I received a text from the doctor and the staff to see how Kiwi was doing. Definitely recimmend and will continue to bring my cute animals there.
