My pet bird had a bad spot/cut on his foot. The doctor took the scap off and my bird started bleeding really bad and could not get it to stop bleeding. They frooze the area 45.00 - cautirized it 50.00, bandage 25.00 and it ended up with a whole lot of extra care ending with meds and cast. We called as we had concerns that the cast was to tight and wanted the doctor to look at it just in case if it was cutting the circulation off. After speading 270.00 they wanted to charge another 40.00 for the doctor to look at the cast as it would of took a minute to look at. I can not believe that the concern was more about the money than the pet. I hope that I never have to go back again. Looking for more caring vet for sure. Wish Dr. Slade never retired. I have to add as they did call the next day to check on him. I will give them that....

As a pet owner that just lost their baby due to Ariana finklestiens ignorance, anyone who sees her please be very cautious and second opinions are highly recommended. She diagnosed my pet with cellulitis and the entire time she knew he had Cancer while continuing to convince me to come in to treat ‘cellulitis.’ Be aware and watch who you trust with your babies!

Dr Finkelstein and staff did everything they could to save are bird. But he didn't make it. They were so supportive at this difficult time. I would highly recommend them. They sent a card which we felt was very touching

We are so glad we won the basket on Grill Out night. We would have never known about this hidden gem. Wonderful and compassionate staff.

Always very kind and they get you in and out. Very sweet and sent a card when we lost a pet. I take all our reptiles here! (Even though our leopard gecko dramatically resists being checked out)

Unfortunately Slade has retired. We saw a new doc, Finkelstein. The entire visit was uncomfortable, expensive and we got nowhere. I listened to techs argue and listened to the dvm talk down to her staff as well. During the visit I was asked to put my bare hand over an IV injection site to stop the bleeding and leakage. I’m not sure if it’s normal protocol to have a patient cover their pets wound without PPE but WOW, that seemed so very unprofessional. I was in tears at how uncomfortable the visit was… and the fact that i had blood on my hand. I almost passed out (i don’t do blood and i don’t think that was my place to be forced to touch it) Finkelstein didn’t listen to anything i said, she already had her assumptions. she threw jabs here and there that she either didn’t think i would pick up on OR did not care if i did. The following day she called and said the bloodwork was Normal and that was a wrap. I went to the office and requested a copy of the labs. The blood work was not normal. I had another vet look them over, she told me it’s clear his body is fighting something and offered to help from here. In the waiting room, on day 2 i mentioned out loud that i had never been spoken to so terribly by a “professional” in my life, TWO OTHERS spoke up and said how patronizing she was and how she speaks to you like you should be ashamed. I felt far more justified to write this after knowing its not just me. Holding a degree does not make It okay to speak to people like they are below you and certainly not to people who are undeserving of It.

Dr. Finkelstein saved my pet rat Kate's life. I noticed a large mass in her abdomen that grew rapidly over the weekend and called in Monday to get a same day appointment. Dr. Finkelstein and her staff were so kind and patient with me and my girl! She was very transparent about what our treatment plans were and never left me feeling confined to one option. She was VERY respectful of my financial situation (I'm a college student working minimum wage at the moment) and never suggested unnecessary treatments to rack up my bill. I opted to have surgery to remove it and had an appointment set up for Wednesday. We went Wednesday morning to discuss Kate's surgery plan, and Dr. Finkelstein very kindly consulted another zoologist for a second opinion about my rat to make me feel more comfortable (I didn't even ask her to do this!). I felt so safe with the people taking care of her! It was an extremely nerve wracking day with some complications - the mass was partially attached to my rat's bladder and removing it could potentially make her unable to urinate, which would ultimately kill her. Wanting to give her the best chance possible, I told Dr. Finkelstein to remove it. She was very honest with the risks of doing this and did not leave me in the dark for one second of the procedure. I took her home yesterday and thanks to Dr. Finkelstein's amazing skills, she is still able to urinate and is recovering. Everyone at Sebastian Animal and Bird Hospital is active in Kate's recovery and has called a few times already to check on how she's doing. I could go at length how grateful I am for Dr. Finkelstein for saving my baby, but I'll let this review speak for itself!!

Dr Finkelstein is the best vet I have ever had for any animal (I have 4 horses, 2dogs,1cat,and two hedgehogs). She met us on a Sunday because one of my hedgehogs had a sore on her mouth that was bleeding. She is professional and really cares about my prickly kids. After all of our visits she has texted or called us to check on them. I am so impressed and we will be customers for life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for caring about my prickly kiddos.

First time visit and I appreciated the doctor and his staff who seemed to be proficient and professional in their duties. Humphrey got what we needed for him and we were on our way. I feel if needed in the future this would be a good clinic for my babies.
