Love the staff always very concerned about your pet and once you leave they always do a follow-up call to see how your pet is doing as well would highly recommend!!!!

This was my dog and I's first visit to the vet. I was worried about how he would react to it, as my dog is old, stubborn, and skittish. Turns out my fears were unfounded. They were very friendly and professional and treated my dog with care. He didn't even complain when his nails were trimmed (he HATES his feet touched) and when he got his shots! The doctor even got down on the floor with him to examine him because he doesn't like to be picked up. I was thoroughly impressed. Gave us a free first months heart worm and flea prevention meds. A month later I had ordered them on Chewy. Chewy contacted my vet who then contacted me. The vet said they can provide the meds ongoing, which was advantageous as they can track the dosing. PLUS they price matched Chewy (who has terrible customer service btw). SO far, so great! Highly recommended!

When calling to reschedule an appointment I got a lecture as if I was being spoken to as a child, the staff had no idea what I was going through . Going to a different vet sorry to say I do not recommend this place

What an awesome experience! We are first time doggy parents... to a puppy! We received wonderful advice, literature, point in the right direction. Most importantly our Romeo had a great time and was enjoying every bit of the visit. We heard of them as a referral from a friend.... best advice ever received, to date! Thank you for all you do!

My dog and I are not local to Sarasota and are just here for a few weeks each year. My dog started showing signs of an ear infection and my friend referred me here. This clinic was able to get me in the next day, compared to others who had no interest since we would be new clients. The doctor and vet techs were very friendly and made it a comfortable visit for both my dog and I. It is very challenging finding a vet that is trustworthy when you are away from home, and this clinic made it so easy for me!

We called and they squeezed us in because our need and this was our first visit with them and they made us feel like we were patients with you for years.. We will definitely be going back. Thank you

I have been coming here on and off for years, surgery, prescription food, and so much more. Thank you for taking such great care of my fur baby! Both when she was a puppy and now as a senior. Sarasota Veterinary Center is AMAZING! They prove each visit that they truly care for the animals brought into their care. My Gizmo, a pom mix, got sick last year. He was peeing blood and I was so scared. They took him in right away and said they would fit him in. They calmed my nerves as they took great care of him. They even called us the day after to see how he was doing and if he was adjusting to his new med's and food well. I will recommend S.V.C. to anyone looking for a quality Vet.

We have been using Dr Smith for many years. His staff is excellent. The entire office is relaxed and friendly. All problems have been handled quickly and professionally, keeping our dogs happy and healthy. You can't go wrong with SVC. Thanks Dr Dave!

My dog had a bulging disk and lost the use of his back legs. Got acupuncture and tens unit to stimulate muscle and he is walking again

Brandon and Max took great care of our little girl Gracie. They are an asset to Sarasota Veterinary Center. This is the place we will board our Gracie in the future.

I have been seen by one of the top vet clinics in Columbus Ohio (most have graduated from OSU), for my dog Gracie for a coughing episode. I was very concerned about collapsed trachea. This vet clinic in Columbus did X-rays and extensive exam with no real diagnosis as they say they were not sure if it was or not this visit cost me over $300. When I came to Florida my daughter told me to go to her vet clinic as Gracie was coughing Wheezing more. I took her in to see Dr John and within minutes he diagnosed her with reverse sneezing and gave her meds. It has almost completely stopped. Also the Columbus vet said it was ok to spay her now. I had big concerns about that as Gracie is very small. Dr John said to wait until she is a year old which will be in January. This is my vet from now on. Thank you so much Dr John. Will be coming back.

I love the veterinarian and the text here! I feel like my animals are family and at this veterinarian they are truly being taken care of. The last receptionist I spoke to could use some attitude adjustment LOL but all in all a fabulous place to take your fur baby or babies

I would have gave them 5 stars, however the Ladies at the Front Desk are beyond rude. Scroll down to read the other people’s reviews! they were mistreated too! The first time I took one of my Dog’s for their vaccines, 6/18/21 it was good experience with the Vet & the Blonde Girl who made sure my dog was comfortable, however when I went to pay for his shots at the front desk, the lady with the raspy voice and orange/brown looking hair tried to charge me $374 when in reality it was only $314 as I had a free exam coupon for the first time, & she had a bad attitude with me because I politely corrected her. Now today, I brought my 2nd dog for his shots 7/16/21 & I was quoted $374 YET this changed once the short chubby girl at the front desk as soon as u walk in, with her hair half down-half up, told me it was going to be $380, I politely asked her why it’s $5 more than what I was quoted she said I don’t know what to tell you. I brought my dog back for his shots, once again had a GREAT experience with the Vet & very nice Blonde Girl, however when I went to pay at the front desk, the chubby girl with her hair half up-half down checked me out she had a bad attitude & reminded me of my price I told her did you quote me $374 the first time? she laughed in my face and said it’s $380 are you paying or not? I told her don’t laugh at me I am asking you politely, she laughed again & mumbled under her breath something. If I continue to get disrespected at this Veterinary Center I will take my business elsewhere. PLEASE RE EMPLOY THE FRONT STAFF THE VET & THE BLONDE GIRL ARE THE 2 NICEST PEOPLE HERE FRONT STAFF IS TERRIBLE! MISQUOTE YOUR $ & TREAT YOU TERRIBLY.

The team at Sarasota Veterinarian Center loves and shows compassion for their animals and family members as well. If you need to get your pet in asap they will fit you in if possible. Love the team for taking care of my 3 girls.
