We love this hospital! We drive almost and 1 1/2 hours because we will not go anywhere else. We have had very bad experiences with other vets and our Bella feels so comfortable at this office. Dr. Greene is so wonderful, she always takes her time with us and we never feel rushed. We absolutely love Angelina! She is so knowledgeable, helpful and sweet. Everyone is so nice I just can’t say enough. They even watch Bella for us so we can get dinner because we live far away. Thank you everyone at Sarasota Animal Hospital!

We had a wonderful first experience at SAMC. The staff was very welcoming, caring and helpful. Dr. Luther is so knowledgeable and provided a thorough explanation of the situation and next steps to work toward a treatment plan. We are so grateful to have found such a wonderful practice to care for our beloved fur baby.

I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of staff. Dr Luther and her VA were excellent with Jasper and me, and I appreciated the recommendations Dr Luther made regarding food change, joint supplement and flea treatment.

I brought my kitten in about 6 months ago for his first check up. The kitten had a cold, and the doctor said she heard something irregular with his heart and that he needed an echocardiogram. I was freaked out, I got this kitten for my son during the worst year ever (COVID). I left my kitten to get the ultrasound. I was supposed to pick him up a couple hours later, they called and said they were having a hard time getting the procedure done. When I finally picked him up later that day, they told me he had major heart issues, and that his life would be shortened. I was devistated. This is my sons first pet. I was like “oh no what do I tell my son, maybe I shouldn’t tell him”. She literally told me that I should tell him because kids are resilient. Well thank God I didn’t tell him, Because when his cold didn’t go away, my husband took the kitten back in for a check up, and the doctor said she no longer heard anything with his heart. Seriously, what in the world? So I took him to a different vet for his cold since this vet couldn’t remedy it. I didn’t say a word about his heart, I had the vet examine him. The vet said he looks good, he just needs some different antibiotics for his cold, Because the anabiotic’s the other vet gave him don’t help with colds. Ugh!!! I said well can you listen to his heart again, and tell me what you think. He said is there something specific I’m listening for? I said can you just listen to it and tell me what you think. He listens to it again, and said the cat is absolutely fine. I told him what the other vet said about the cat’s heart, and he was like, I just don’t hear it, I hear nothing wrong. Meanwhile in the middle of all this, I am talking to my breeder, who is freaking out and takes all her cats to University of Florida to get checked out, because she knows that she can’t keep breeding them if something is wrong. Her cats are all totally fine. So the vet at Sarasota animal medical clinic not only had me freaked and my cat’s breeder freaked, out but I spent like $600 on a damn echocardiogram for my cat that wasn’t even needed. And I have no idea how much the breeder ended up spending on her cats at University of Florida to get checked out. Ridiculous, and I still feel like I deserve a refund for the echo!

Just moved into the area and needed a vet. Was so happy I found this place. The staff and doctor greene were so pleasant. They treated my cat with lots of tenderness so much so that all she did was purr. Thanks

Two times I was not notified of lab results. I left a message on voicemail with no return. I finally spoke with someone and found out my dog needed medication that should’ve been addressed a week prior. My last appointment was confirmed for a certain time and when I arrived they told me that my appointment time was 45 minutes prior to my arrival. I showed them their text confirming that my time was correct. I sat and waited for 45 minutes and then left. We’ve only been a patient for one month but they made a terrible impression in such a short time. We will not be going back.

Dr. Serena and Dr. Luther are miracle workers. My dogs love coming to the vets now. The herbal medicines, acupuncture and laser therapies have kept my senior dogs healthy. Their staff is always pleasant and helpful.

The staff is very friendly and all the doctors are amazing. I love the fact they are pretty on schedule with the appointments and they can also accommodate an emergency if necessary.

We had very high hopes for this clinic after reading the reviews but were extremely disappointed to find out that none of the staff wear masks and the clinic does not have a mask policy. During a pandemic, you would think that a clinic that provides medical treatment would take Covid seriously but the staff seemed very ambivalent when asked why no one was wearing masks. If you are concerned about you or your pet getting exposed to Covid, I would avoid this clinic.

We were looking for a Vet that was not only friendly and professional, but that also shared our values of Natural and Holistic care when possible. We found that here. We believe in not always throwing surgery and medication as the first option to everything. When we entered their facility, it is clean, the staff is friendly, they get you right in, but they also take care of all of your needs and concerns. We felt right at ease. We highly recommend Sarasota Animal Medical Center.

Everyone on staff is attentive and very nice. They called when there was a cancelation and got us in swiftly. Dr. Anne Luther is awesome and our sweet cat, Elyse "Mittens" felt very comfortable. The whole process was great!

We had a great experience with Dr. Sarena! She was so informative and knowledgeable about traditional medicine and even offered some suggestions for holistic ways to improve my dog's skin issues. So glad we found this vet!

No complaints. New to town and needed a new vet. They are holistic which is a bonus for me. My pup had no complaints. Friendly, clean, and timely.

Very cozy, not like the typical sterile vets office.

I was hoping this would be a gentler, holistic, and more well rounded veterinary experience but it has been the worst vet I've ever taken my animals to. I was told that my small dog with a heart condition turned "purple" during his blood draw, then told he had two months to live, and then heavily guilted for not pursuing additional, and VERY expensive, lab work. I felt the Dr. to be insensitive and money driven. I left there in tears feeling a bit worked-over. I am happy to say that she was WRONG. My dog is doing better than ever and I have switched to a different vet in Bradenton who I am thrilled with.

Absolutely the most loving, caring animal clinic. Everyone I've ever come in contact with has been so kind, from the sweet front desk, the kind vet techs and the loving, wise veterinarians. Dr. Sarena is our vet and gives so much of her time, never rushing, always listening, offering her wisdom and loving on our 2 elderly labs and is beyond wonderful. I've met Dr. Luther on a couple of occasions when one of my girls had to have ultrasounds and echocardiogram and she was so gentle and loving tool. They even go out of their way to have a padded place to nestle your baby in while doing the ultrasounds to make sure they are comfortable and at ease. They both have called us personally to discuss lab and test results, even after hours . They have one more vet at the clinic, Dr. Jodi and, though I've only met her once, she was so gentle and kind and gave the same loving care to my 2 girls, as they all do there. I cannot say enough about how much they all love animals and it's so apparent and appreciated! Thank you to all of you at Sarasota Animal Medical Center❤
