When your dog has cancer, and you need someone to try and extend her life, you need someone nice, caring, knowledgable, and ready to help. I found all of that with the kind people here.

Excellent Dr. And Staff. My dog got taken in right away, helped my baby girl Mia at 3, she is diagnosed with lymphoma. Happy with the care she is given!

We found Dr Ward and her staff to be VERY kind and extremely patient. She took the time to answer all questions, some more than once, as we struggled to accept the inoperable cancer news. Calmly explained our options for treatment and said to let her know if we'd like to schedule - no pressure to continue. Comet, our 13 year old 80lb dog is our second pet to be referred for a sad diagnosis. Comet required an ultrasound of his underside - which I did not expect would happen with out sedation. Her and her staff were extremely quick while my husband and I were at his head calming him. Working with her team made the task more tolerable for him. Valentine our blind cat with cardio myopathy calmly allowed fluid drained form her side with out stress or issues. Our pets have been treated with incredible skill, were surprisingly calm during treatment and we found Dr Ward to be very kind.

Dr Ward and her staff are wonderful. They are So compassionate and thorough. They do not rush through the exam. They spend the time necessary to get to the bottom of your pets issue. With severe illnesses they are excellent with follow up calls and working with your primary vet. We are so grateful for them!!!

The Sarasota community is extremely fortunate to have Dr. Ward in its wings! She comforted me and my family after she confirmed the cancer diagnosis of my 13 year old dog, Abby. I couldn’t stop the tears as I asked her some follow-up questions. Her eyes welled up too. She is a straight shooter but she also has a big heart!

Dr. Ward is honest and straight forward—something you truly need when navigating cancer. I’m so appreciative of the care she and her staff provided. Although our Dixie girl is gone now, I’m confident that Dr. Ward provided the best treatment to comfortably keep her with us longer than anticipated.

Dr Ward and her entire staff are wonderful and caring people. I would not take my dog any other oncologist. They are the best.

GCV did all they could for our purr-gurl Shadows. Also explained that they type of cancer our purr-baby had almost always takes cats. Well the lymphoma and cancer of her spleen did take our Shadows but l couldn't have asked for more care or understanding that the entire office family gave my family and mostly our Shadows ????????????

Enjoyed meeting Dr Ward today. Very knowledgeable and friendly, provided an alternative to what our northern oncologist had prescribed. I would highly recommend Dr Ward and this practice.

My boy Chunk went here for 4 chemo treatments following his thyroidectomy. Dr Ward was very honest with me on what to expect and did not sugar coat anything which I appreciate. Her staff was wonderful and the whole office made something that was extremely stressful to me very easy to deal with. Again please note Dr Ward does not sugar coat and may come off blunt, but she is top notch and will not give you false hope. She will be honest with you on treatment, what to expect and the outcome. Chunk and I scream thank you to her and her wonderful staff

Dr. Ward saved my cat's life. After 2 exams by my cat's regular vet to no avail and a visit to an ER vet, Dr. Ward worked us in to her busy schedule and was able to remove a blockage via endoscopy. She and her staff were caring and called to check on his condition for the next couple of days until he was eating normally. I am so appreciative for the professional, compassionate care he received.

Dr Heidi was amazing, unfortunately we were there to confirm bad news but she was so knowledgeable and positive without sugar coating I felt better when I left. I'll definitely be taking all my guys there if necessary.

Dr. Ward was very informative and explained many types of cat foods to us as our cat appears to have food allergies. The staff was excellent too.

Although our baby has passed away I wanted to say this is probably the best vet office I’ve ever been to. The staff really cares for your babies like they are their own. Dr. Ward is very clear and straight forward and you can tell she really wants what is best for your pet. I want to personally thank the entire staff that made this hard time much easier to handle and for all the love and care you showed our diesel boy. It will not be forgotten!

Dr. Heidie, as I call her, was wonderful! They "fit" Max in after I had to cancel because of I75 traffic BUT understanding Max didn't want to eat was super important and needed to be re-scheduled later in the day!!!

Dr Ward and her staff were very helpful and responsive when our senior Westies both had major issues at the same time. They got us right in for ultrasounds which further helped us with their diagnoses. The staff was compassionate and caring and truly made a difference in the quality of our dogs’ lives. They are both still with us and feeling better thanks to Dr Ward and her staff.

We learned that my domestic partner (DP) cat has cancer. We brought him just to see if the oncologist can do something for him because he was in rough shape. We went there with the idea that it was too late and it was his time to rest. Doctor also said he was in bad shape but bc he still eating, she is going to treat him to see if it works, and by the 3rd day we should know. "There is nothing to lose, she said, and she was right. By the 3rd day his cat was about 40 to 45 percent better. Today is the week #2 after his 1st treatment, and the cat is about 85 percent better, and he is enjoying his life and living again. We even bought him a leash and we bring him outdoors for him to smell flowers and explore it. The oncologist's treatment is giving my DM time to spend with his cat, so we are very happy with her suggestion of giving a try, and bc she did not just suggested that it was too late to treat him.

Called a week ago 2/12/2021 at 1:15PM. Gave all my dogs info, my info and all the info needed so that they could get my dogs records from the ER vet for an Oncology follow up visit. Even though I saw a ton of negative reviews about this happening to others and her bedside manner, I still gave it a chance. I wasted an entire week. I didn't get a single call back even though I was told I would.
