What can I sell you? Primary focus of every employee seemed to be to sell something. Friendly but I would guess they are also on commission.

The owners Qualified Veterinarians sold it and town because threats of violence from Manatee Animal Services circulated the small community of pet owners

I was going to take my cat that I just rescued there for a first visit. Planned to use the coupon, what a joke! I call to get pricing on the two things she need done- some matted areas shaved or cut off and a test for worms.... I asked the woman for average costs so I had an idea... I'm thinking 100 or less... she goes on to tell me 50 for worm and over a hundred for the matted patches. I honestly only planned to take her there once for the coupon and preferred to give money to people encouraging rescue/adoption... very clear that the coupon is a joke and with it, it would still cost me almost 200 bucks or MORE! Called Dr. Nina's where my current dog goes... wayyyy more affordable. Half the cost for the worm test, and 15 bucks- MAYBE, for the matted hair removal at MOST. Even with the office visit, its around hundred. This place is a joke. The lady tried playing games at first and not even providing costs when Banfield called to confirm the appointment and I inquired! All she tried to do was talk over to me and insist my cat needed a whole 'medical grooming' for a few mats on her back... ???? ???? ???? GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

I’ve been taking my dog Marley here since he was a puppy. They have always been very kind , informative and professional. I started taking my new puppy rocky here now also and they’ve been super helpful. I want to say Dr Mono (I hope I am spelling it right) is one of my favorite doctors. He was kind enough to squeeze my puppy in after being stung in the face by an insect. He was able to squeeze them in two hours before closing and give him the proper care he needed and did a great job at explaining what to expect. I appreciate him so much especially after I called the University branch and all they did was referred me to an emergency vet office. Dr Mono is the best! He also did my older dogs neuter and dental! He always was very informative and gave very detailed postop instructions which made my dogs healing proces Easier to deal with and prepped me to know what to expect. I would definitely recommend Banfield for anybody with pets!

Convenient always polite and friendly staff.

I have the "wellness" plan for my two dogs with Banfield and have been to several around the country. The Banfield in South Sarasota is very welcoming and the staff and vets are great. They do seem to rotate several different docs through the office as I have seen a different one 4 out of the 6 times I've visited. They're all great, but everyone has a different approach and demeanor.

Kept me on hold for almost 20 minutes, forgot I was on hold. Wouldn't assist with what I needed, just wanted me to bring my pet in for an appointment which was unnecessary. Banfield cares more about getting as much money from you as possible than they do about actually helping.

Everyone is very helpful here and they take care of your pets very well always happy with the surface and pet grooming

My mom's baby girl Ella needed her nails trimmed. Sarah was awesome. Ella got a cool drink of water when she came in the door at home and headed for her comfy couch for a little nap. Sarah had her feeling so relaxed I was surprised. Thank you so much for the caring and gentle way she was handled. I highly recommend Banfield for all aspects of pet care. Especially grooming.

Great place that takes care of cats and dogs

I brought my 6 month old puppy in for her spay..her pre-op blood work came back showing high enzymes in her liver. Dr. Gates referred me to Blue Pearl for an ultrasound to see what was going on, as it could be a shunt and would require surgery. They put her on liver meds, expensive prescription liver food.. sent me out the door. SO I call Blue Pearl to set up an ultrasound... $700. Seriously: $700 just for an ultrasound. Insane. After reading reviews on both of these places, I decided to shop around and found Gulf Gate Animal Hospital who does ultrasounds for around $250. All this to say I get there and our new Doctor tells me that an ultrasound WILL NOT DETECT A SHUNT IN HER LIVER. My mind was blown. He decided to START OUT by retesting her first and then had a more extensive test if the first one came back abnormal. Well the first test came back totally normal. What that Blue Pearl ultrasound would have cost me... I got her retested, spayed and microchipped and still have some change! Would have been included in my puppy plan at Banfield but they are clearly incompetent and I would never let them touch my puppy again. At least now I know we are in good hands and so thrilled Coco has a doctor I can TRUST at Gulf Gate Animal Hospital. DO YOUR RESEARCH, FRIENDS :)

Awesome staff and Vets! Took such good care of my 12 year old dog. Can't thank them enough????.

Dr. Wilson is amazing and all of the nurses are so nice. My puppy is very shy but he just loves them. Their prices are also very reasonable

For the safety of your animals, please for the love of god do NOT take them to the Banfield pet hospital.

Banfield doctors and staff take great care of our dog. We have their puppy plan - we highly recommend it to all our friends and family.

Unfortunately I had to put my beloved 4 year old Ridgeback down but the staff, including Dr Wilson, were supportive and caring. They made my difficult decision bearable.

We brought our cats in for vaccinations and a check up this week and all of the staff was so kind, attentive, and professional. We bought a bigger crate for one of our cats the staff even put it together for us so we could take him home in it. The vet was kind and honest. We had a great experience and would definitely take our furbabies back to this Banfield.

Our little girl loves banfield. The staff is always friendly and very helpful and kind to our fur baby, Bella. I will continue to bring her there for all of her needs. Including grooming. Thank you ALL for your hard work and dedication!!

The staff was very nice. The vet techs made sure they understood my pets issues before making my appointment. The vet was thorough in his exam and explained my pets issues in terms I could understand.
