Petco Saint Johns, Florida

Very sad. 3 ferrets trying to drink water out of a hamster water bottle. They are supposed to drink out of bowls. Just shows how little they care about the well being of their animals. I would NEVER recommend.

This “Petco” store is always accommodating! My first visit “Pierson” gave great service! Today on my second visit I had the honor of doing business with “Abby”, she was exceptionally nice and professional! She is truly a kind person and treats customers like family! I highly recommend!! Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the best help at Petco in Saint Johns county the Durban Park store. The customer service is outstanding. I’m talking about Pierson Brandt. He helped me to get my chihuahua the special food he needs. He was very patient with me. He was so very helpful. I couldn’t of done it without his help. If you want your dog traumatized take them here!

Don’t count on getting anything done over the phone appointment wise they simply won’t answer and none of the departments that will answer are cross trained. If you don’t have time in your day to physically stop in and make an appointment... good luck.

Took our cat to Vet. Very nice staff. On-call Vet was extremely helpful.

They misdiagnosed our 14 year old cat Mandy. She had a sore under her chin that wasn't healing. We took her here and they looked at her wound with a microscope and everything and gave us 3 different type of medication and told us she would be fine after a while if we give her the antibiotics. Couple weeks went by and it got worse and started smelling really bad called PetCo again and they said she needs an emergency vet. We took her to an emergency vet and they told us that it wasn't an abscess and that the medications PetCo gave us was unnecessary and said that it's most likely cancer. We had to put her down recently because it was eating away her chin and was almost at the bone and would have suffered miserably. PetCo has issued us a refund for the misdiagnosis but I would not recommend this vet to anyone. Take your beloved pet to a good doctor that won't just take your money and give you false hopes. They used our sick Mandy to try and get money from us and that is wrong. We could have pursued a malpractice suit for the misdiagnosis but then we would be doing the same exact thing we accused PetCo of, using our sick cat to get money and that wouldn't sit right with me. So we just asked for a refund and they issued a refund because they knew they messed up. I don't know if they did it on purpose or if they just didn't know what was going on with Mandy but what they should have done is told us they don't know what's wrong and instead referred us to a specialist instead of giving us false hopes. R.I.P. Mandy you will always be close to my heart.

This was the worst vet I have EVER been to, they are all very obviously undereducated and gave me NO help whatsoever. They couldn’t even tell me how old my puppy was, he wasn’t in the room when he got his shots, they gave him flea removal that was completely ineffective, and the “doctor” seemed to be half asleep, as all his answers to our questions were “I don’t really know” and “I’m not quite sure”. They were completely incompetent and charged us 20 extra dollars. We will NEVER return.

Aisles could be better marked to make locating items easier.

I brought our girl here for the fist time and was quite pleased. Amanda was her groomer and she did am amazing job ! Price was quite reasonable too !

System did not auto detected online discount, cashier was kind enough to honor it.

Great store with wonderful and helpful staff. The selection of items are beyond what I could have imagined, although the prices are higher than most places the return policy is worth the extra $ also if you go onto the website they will match the price in store. I saved about 20$ on 2 items bringing my total to 40$.

Unfortunately our rescues first experience with a mail trim didn’t go as planned. He has clear nails so there is no excuse for sending a dog out like this with no apology. Still got charged and she still expected a tip. We won’t be back to the grooming department.

By far my favorite place to go for my dog! Not only is this company and specifically this store welcoming, the staff is amazing. So helpful, kind, patient and positive. They actually care about the animals (unlike some other place with similar names…). Will continue going there for all my dog’s needs!

I took my pets here for vaccines (a dog and a cat) and “lady” called me saying that they won’t see my pets because we were 5 minutes late and when I tried to explain to her that I was outside she hung up on me I wouldn’t recommend this thrive clinic if they treat you like that over the imagine what they can do to a pet that can’t talk ? The worst experience ever I’m canceling my membership ASAP

Purchased tropical fish for new sm. Aquarium. Had a sales clerk,. Pearson who we really felt was courteous, helpful And provided great customer service. New Racetrack Rd. Location. Jacksonville, St. Johns county.

Fish were dead all over the place, drain hoses were just laying around. Store design was horribly laid out.

I go there frequently for food and treats. I take my cat to thrieve for their veterinary service. They are kind to my sweetheart

This place is super nice and has a great set up, I normally can’t seem to find anyone to help me out, except for whenever Chris is there she’s super helpful and informative, she’s always patient with me and allows me to ask extra questions even when other customers are trying to pester her for time. I honestly don’t know if I would keep coming if she wasn’t here all the time!!!!

I literally come here every week just in the off chance they’ve decided to actually stock the store. They don’t. This place 100% sucks. Customer service is horrendous.

First time in a Petco self wash station, and we loved it! We are new in Jax, so definitely we will be back every month now. The girls at the grooming salon cut her nails also and they were super super nice to us????
