Matanzas River Animal Hospital Saint Augustine, Florida

Just moved here from Atlanta. Went to my previous vet for over 25 years. Had an issue with one of the not so vet friendly dogs and they made room on their Saturday schedule to help me out and took exceptional care of Luna. This will be our vet moving forward.

Top notch vet. Clean place, everyone who works there is extremely nice, personable and professional. The techs really know their stuff. Highly recommend the establishment and both Docs.

Dr. Lopez and her team are wonderful. My lab developed pancreatitis and we took him to Mantanzas River Animal Hospital for follow-up care after spending the previous evening in the St Augustine Regional Vet office. Her team was very courteous and understanding of our concern/stress/worry etc.. They took great care of our lab and when we picked him up at the end of the day he was a different dog then the on we dropped off. Thank you Dr. Lopez and thank you Dirk for babying our baby ????

I dropped in on Saturday AM because my regular vet, which has Saturday hours, indicated they were too busy to assess an injury my dog sustained the prior evening( cut on his paw pad). Despite not having an appointment they squeezed us in, assessed the injury, and recommended a treatment plan. Dr. Nicolas was kind, professional and very practical. While our regular vet essentially punted, Matanzas Animal Hospital was very, very accommodating & helpful. I need to seriously reconsider making Matanzas River Animal Hospital our regular vet.

I found two ticks on my dog Nova after a hiking trip. I was hesitant to remove them, my friend talked me into taking Nova here to have them professionally removed. They were able to see her pretty quickly, and when done they found and removed 5 ticks! Nova is very happy. Thank you so much for the great care!

They know exactly how your dog or your animal is and they will look at your animal with the expertise as to how the animals health is and their current conditions are and their current shots are. I took Baxter there to get a grooming and to overlook the necessities at Baxter needs and they went over and above the needs I want to say they did the best service I could ever imagine thank you so much,,, yiC

I want to say that this animal hospital is amazing. Today I had an emergency with a kitten and the vet as well the personnel were very helpful, understanding, compassionate and amazing! I am really grateful for everything they did for me and for the kitten. I would recommend them anytime... Thanks for a wonderful service!!!

It is impossible to overstate the professionalism and courtesy of Dr Nicholas and his Team. Throughout all the medical challenges that our beloved cat Claude endured in his later life (including autoimmune disease, diabetes and pancreatitis) they cared for him in with expert skills and expediency. We cannot be more grateful to them and commend them to pet owners in the highest possible terms.

I've been taking my dog to this Vet for 4 years and I'm thrilled at how well he's cared for!. I've needed two emergency visits and was quickly accommodated by them. Highly recommend them!
