Drs Harrington and Canty are model veterinarians that all should strive to be. Been seeing them for over 25 years. We drive out of our way to visit their practice/staff (Shelby is amazing! She goes above and beyond to ensure Ruby is taken care of!). Undoubtedly the best kept secret in Clay and surrounding counties!

Love it here. My cats enjoy the staff and are very relaxed and like being held by them. Good, kind people work here.

Not open in emergency mode as they say.

If I could give no stars I would. Every time I call or go up there they seem to have an attitude and no manners. I have been taking my dog there since he was 6 weeks old and it’s recently they seem to be lacking of there knowledge of what to do with a sore on a dogs foot other than wrap it and have me come back every 3 days, like I don’t have a job and can take that much time off work. I requested vet records numerous of times and it seems as i can’t get records without the doctor there, even though I asked while he was there and they were not provided to me. Now again it has to be on their time while my boy is still having this problem and have to take him else where! And long behold clay humane did a biopsy the first day! Russell road take notes from clay humane!

The staff and doc were great to deal with. I got in and out quick. I've found my Lucy loos vet finally.

I need to add this to an old post as my dog has been to the clinic again. We live out of town and come to Jax for concerts, vacations and to visit friends. This visit involved staying at a AirBnB that said NO PETS. ☹️ It would seem right to board my dog(my favorite child) in the city where we live but our dog’s experience with Russel Road Animal Clinic was so wonderful that we booked Riley for boarding there. He loves to travel with us so we at least got to be with him coming and going to the clinic-3 hour commute. The staff is wonderful and caring and Dr. Harrington is an excellent veterinarian so I feel so relieved to leave him there. He had a good bath with all the bells and whistles(anal gland stuff) so we were greeted with a very happy dog when we went to pick him up. The clinic staff even called the next day to check on Riley!! My only request is that the clinic and staff move to my city so I could board him while going out of town elsewhere. LOL! Oh… and I love to see the horses when we come. This time it was so cool because we also got to see a duck being discharged after Dr. Harrington treated his/her webbed foot after it got pretty tangled in a fishing line. First of all, let me say that I feel very comfortable with Dr. Cathy Harrington. It’s almost like talking to an old friend. Her waiting area is clean and rooms are also. I’ve had a chance to see the kennels too and they are so much better than others I’ve seen before with other Veterinarians kennels. She diagnosed my dog and helped me so much and the cost was certainly affordable as I’m on a tight income these days. My dog wouldn’t stop itching and she asked all the right questions and all I had to say “yes, he does that. He does that too. Yep, does that also.” It’s like Dr. Cathy Harrington knew my dog already in the first five minutes. She gave me a treatment plan that including meds and other things I can do for Riley, my itching like crazy dog. It’s been a week now and WOW! I think I’ve seen him scratch himself twice in the last two days which is rare for him. He seems to feel really good also with lots of energy. One vet had told me to try Benadryl everyday but it didn’t seem to work and he didn’t seem to have energy. Thank you Dr Cathy Harrington! I’ll be coming back for as long as Riley can.

Best Vet I have ever been to... Very professional!

After calling 4 times and no answer, I decided to go in person. When I walked in I was told, no one is allowed in the Lobby. I said to young girl, all I needed was a list of their prices for office and rabies shot that I have called various times and no one answers. She asked to go into a room and wait till someone comes to talk to me. I waited what seemed forever, about 15-20 minutes, maybe more. I went out and asked the young receptionist again, when and who is to talk to me. She then said a staff member. Well, maybe things have changed a bit, but I thought she was part of the staff. Meanwhile, there is another, what seemed to a staff member sitting next to her. After waiting a bit longer, (I was ready to leave) the person that was sitting with the Receptionist came in with a cold face and stuck up attitude of I don't care, and ask me what I wanted. I let her know. She told me there were no appointments available I would have to make one, and I did. As I left, I thought, "These people do not answer the phone, and are rude". So, I made a u-turn and went to the Vet I called previously who answered the phone and gave me prices because that day, Monday, they have open clinic. They received me with a smile in their Lobby, were kind. Gave them my info and saw my dog. Yes, canceled Russell. Love Claws & Paws.

This is the most caring vet office I have known. The staff is absolutely amazing!! They treat you with respect and make you feel at ease. We have had some serious health issues with our dogs and they really stepped up and helped us. I would recommend to everyone !!!

The best place we have ever been. We so much appreciate their honesty and service. We moved 53 miles away, and maintain all our pet treatment here. We sadly lost our dog today, and this was our second older dog in three years ...of our choice. Both dogs had greatest care and we trust them with our pets lives. Thank you!

I have been taking my dog here for 9 yrs. They love the animals and the staff is very friendly. My dog recently had ear canal surgery and goes to RRAC for a cleaning once a week.

They were supposed to call me back with an appointment but never called back ????

I feel so overly privileged that I have made it onto the actual website for the animal hospital. They may not have spelled my name right, but not everyone can be literate. You are very right... I have held a grudge for twenty years almost because I work in an animal hospital where the animals are properly cared for. They aren’t treated like pure s*** behind closed doors and made to be in a disgusting environment. Having almost been completely soured on the whole veterinarian profession, I’m happy that I gave it another chance. Now I work for vets that actually care about the well being of the animals and the owners. I find your lack of professionalism in response to the reviews just expected. Wouldn’t expect anything less. FYI... your website is supposed to show the wonderful facility and staff. Not your caddy responses to getting your feelings hurt.

Love the vets and vet techs there. They know my dog by name and treat him with the same love I give him. Reasonably priced and call to check in after a visit.
