Supposedly, one of our dachshunds was diagnosed by this establishment as having a hear murmur. This diagnosis took place nearly 3 months ago and almost $400 without notifying us of the results. WThey now want to charge us for a virtual visit after we told them that we had not heard from them in 3 months. Unbelievable. Our dachshund is on heart medicine and this is his last month for the prescription. We need to find another vet. These people will rob you blind. This Banfield office should be investigated.

They lied to me. I just arrived Sunday from living in Germany for the last 7 years and needed to immediately buy heartworm medicine for my toy poodle. They refused to sell me the medicine without a $100 heartworm test. This is ridiculous because I was able to prove with the dog's import paperwork that she physically cannot have heartworm because she's been in a country that doesn't have heartworm for 7 years. The vet tech was so hell bent on extortioning me for an unnecessary test, she lied. Said that even though it's "clearly unnecessary and the heartworms wouldn't even show up, it Florida LAW." Um... No. No it's not. That's a lie. I called my senator. They looked it up for me. There's no such law in Florida to require a test for heartworm. Glad I wasn't bullied by this liar. Thank goodness, I called my old vet in Atlanta and explained my predicament and they mailed me the Heartworm medicine. I've also attached a photo from the Floridian Heartworm Prevention Association, it's recommended to test even dogs who are on medicine, not required. What a terrible display of unethical behavior. To simply lie to try and squeeze another $100 out of me.

I received an email notification to bring my pet in, but when I try an log in to the portal it says the email is not recognized, call to make the appointment...no biggie. I get there with my cat that is uber friendly, more like a dog, I have my hands full so I put him down on the large scale at the check-in. The front desk lady barks at me that he will be weighed in the back, no need to weigh him here. They ask me to wait for them to finish his check-up, as opposed to drop off, because my cat misbehaves when they crate him and state it is for their own safety. One would think this is am inherent part of the job. A third person checked my cat out and couldn't have been more rude. I had a special request about his food and the doctor never addressed my concern with me when she came out, but tried to sell me additional services not in my plan. Very poor experience, it was better in the past

Repeatedly called Banfield St.Augustine to get them to authorize Chewy to dispense Heart Guard for my 8 year old Rat Terrier. Very unresponsive to my repeated calls. They could not be more unhelpful. Their front desk service staff are poorly trained and incompetent. Vets are constantly rotated. Stay away from Banfield. Take your pet to any other vet as I’m sure they will be better.

Not impressed at all charges $40 plus for antibiotics that would of been way less elsewhere. The pet plans are outrageously priced. Front staff was talking about owners as they would Leave as I sat in waiting chair ( next to a large pee puddle no one cleaned up ) don’t go here the exam seemed fair priced— that’s how they get you because everything else is where they get you. Not impressed won’t be back. Highly recommend you go somewhere else.

If I could give a zero I would. I took my dog to the staff at Banfield after several vomiting fits. We told them we believed it to be an obstruction as we knew he had eaten something a couple days ago (it’s happened before but has always passed). When we were seen we were told that he was being given fluids to hydrate him. We were offered to do extensive testing as well as an X-ray that would be reviewed by an offsite team or we could wait 12 hours to see if he passes it. We were then told by the doctor that he did not believe bloodwork was necessary after I had agreed to it plus the X-ray. I went and picked my pup up and within 6 hrs we needed to rush him to the emergency room. When we got to the emergency room we were asked for the X-rays that we were supposed to get from Banfield (we never received them). He then spent the next 6 hrs getting his levels to a stable level to even be a qualified candidate for surgery. By the time he got to surgery his bowels had started to leak into his body. This is unfortunately not the first bad experience I’ve had with this place but it is the last. I beg you.... do not bring your animals here. They do not care about the well-being of your pets, just how much you could save with their wellness plans. Smdh.

Horrible experience, they say there is only one medication for my puppy which has horrible side effects (almost killed my dog). I took her to an other vet they told me there is many other options for her treatment!!!!!

Drop my dog off at 10am this morning and am still waiting at 4:34pm to pick her up. Took for for a limp she has had for about 4-5 days now and took 6 hours hours to get some pain medications! Outrageous!! Will not be bringing her back here not to mention high prices. Also have not received her pain medication I will probably have to ask

Dr Breau is an inconsiderate and heartless person. She isn’t the type of vet who cares about animals. My puppy had to go 18 hours without food. Katie was supposed to be first on the docket that day. The vet changed her schedule without notifying me or my wife. She blamed her staff for the “miscommunication”. When the staff finally told me what was going on I immediately went to go get her. My wife called them back to let them know I was coming to get her. When they were told that I was on my way they immediately put he under anesthesia so they could get paid for the office visit. I realize my puppy was giving them a difficult time because I could hear her barking when the office called. When I asked if I was hearing Katie the man said yes. I believe Dr Breau was hoping Katie would wear herself out and that is why she rearranged her schedule. Dr Breau isn’t an animal lover, and she doesn’t respect other people. I should have read the reviews of this place before taking my puppy here. The reviews indicate it is only a good place to have your pet put to sleep. I take full responsibility for what happened to my puppy. I wouldn’t go to a doctor working out of a WalMart, but I didn’t think about it like that until this experience.

Best Vet ever I needed a vet for my sick cat and 2 stray kittens I decided to keep rather than send to a shelter I called my regular vet and was told they were booked out 1 month but I could take them to there emergency care it would cost 95 dollars per cat not to mention whatever meds I'd need or I could try to find another vet that might help. Yea Banfield they had drop off service and it cost me way under 300.00 so being a proud owner of 9 adopted cats Banfield has my business not to mention they are caring and love animals and people how could they not they are in a pet smart!!

We have 3 dogs that all go to Banfield. Many vets are pretty pricy and always wanting to give you more than what you actually need, just to make an extra buck. Since we first started going to Banfield in 2015 we have not had any issues. The employees care for your fur babies and always give you many options to choose from. If there is something you can’t afford they will walk you through the options they have. All in all great vet to take your fur babies !
