Do yourself a favor do not take your dog there or cat the guy shouldn't even be in practice very unprofessional Can't put my finger on it but there's something really wrong with the guy Do the right thing for your pet don't!

Dr. Strickland is one of the best veterinarians around. He is solid and knows what he is talking about. I started seeing him in 2004. I stopped going to this practice after I was told by Courtney, receptionist and technician, that Dr. Strickland could not see my dachshund who had blood in her diarrhea. She said that they were fully booked and to find 'another vet' who had an opening. I have been seeing Dr. Strickland for 14+ years now and he used to take walk-ins. So, I just finished paying $962 (9 teeth extracted) for a dental you performed on Lucy a few months before, and now you won't see her for a valid health issue? At this time, I also walked in on Chantel (Veterinary Technician) performing a dental on a dog. The last time I checked, Veterinary Technician training does not include extensive Anatomy & Physiology courses and certifications. Dr. Strickland used to only perform surgeries on Wednesdays. His office was completely closed so that he could perform each of the dentals and surgeries from start to finish. Now he sees patients while techs do the dentals. Courtney said she performed the dental on Lucy. I do not mind paying top dollar for Dr. Strickland to perform work on my dogs while they are under anesthesia, because he has had the years of training. He knows the intricacies of how blood and chemicals move through the body and react. He knows how to analyze the machine readings. Techs do not have the level of expertise to do so. Any excessive amount of anesthesia is toxic to any living creature. I have moved my dogs to another veterinarian who accepts walk-ins, for the rare occasion my dog gets unexpectedly ill, and performs all parts of the dentals themselves, from putting them under to cleaning, etc. Dr. Strickland, please go back to the old way of doing things.

Dr. Strickland is the best. The staff is friendly and caring and always make me feel like my animals are a priority.

We're here on vacation and our puppy injured his paw. We were referred to this vet by the owner of the condo we are staying in. We called and we're given a next day appointment. There was zero wait to see the vet. Our puppy was diagnosed with a sprain in less than 5 minutes. Total cost was less than we were expecting. Office was clean and staff was very friendly.

Took our cat to this vet and it was treated with compassion and cured of the swelling in his ear.

Totally unprofessional and I believe they may have Mistreated my animal! Also they are ridiculous on how much they cost to do simple procedures!! Don’t waste your money to have your pet treated poorly at this place! They weren’t going to even inform me of the follow up treatment my cat needed or of her follow up visit! They got there money and rushed me away! Also very rude and not compassionate forwards my cat!! Wouldn’t even let me meet the veterinarian that supposedly preformed surgery!

I Thought i was in a Auto Mechanic shop Repairs Starting @ $900 ( overnight observation) procedure @ $500 or cat will Die in couple of days or Euthanize was the choices given I have never met such a Inhumane vetnarian _ FULL OF GREED_ Paid $300 & $200 is in the Mail The only thing that will go to this office is the cheque_ What goes Around, Comes Around_ Sad Experience

We switched some years ago because other practices seemed to only care about $. They didn't seem to have the pet's needs in mind. Love Anastasia Vet and the staff, great care for my dogs! Highly recommend

I'm new to St. Augustine. I had a minor emergency with allergies outbreak on my 11 year old dog. I got a quick appt. My dog was very comfortable with tech & doctor which was pleasantly surprising to me. The one thing that has me on the fence is that I had my records to them a day in advance and the Dr. Consistently asked me the name if her antibiotic. I didn't know and reminded him he had the records.I hope it was a mask covid misunderstanding

I can honestly say this veterinarian is as good as it gets. I was inspired to write a review because a co-worker asked me today how much my vet charged for teeth cleaning and I told her I had no idea but that I could say this vet never over charges and I feel like he almost does everything at cost! She looked into the price after we spoke and sure enough he was the most reasonable, local quote she received. I appreciate that he never tries to hard sell or up sell you on things your dog doesn’t need. So when he says my dog needs something, I don’t argue. The only thing I will critique is that I wish he or his staff would have told us that our dog was dying... I think they knew but didn’t say as much. Obviously you can’t predict death but I wish we were given a heads up that his symptoms were pointing to his quickly approaching death. I’m assuming Dr. Strickland knows the signs since he’s been doing it so long now. That’s my only recommendation. Otherwise, I’m a big fan of this place and all of the staff. Thank you for taking care of our pups!
