Love this place. Aly and the rest of the staff really care about your pet and offer amazing service. Dr. Melgey is one of the best veterinarians I have met. I met him through the SNIP program and realize how good of a vet he was and have been coming to him ever since. The office staff are amazing and accommodating. I would recommend Crystal Lake Animal Hospital to all.

This hospital is amazing. Even with how busy and overwhelmed veterinarians have been these past few years, they were able to squeeze me in the same day I called. We ultimately decided to put down our diabetic cat Star. The doctor and entire staff were overwhelmingly compassionate and kind and made the process as easy as it could be. Thank you all so much for your kindness and dedication to our animals ❤️

The staff were leaving on Saturday after a long day im sure and saw me hysterically calling for my dog who had run away from us at lake while fishing. They literally dropped everything to aid in my search. It was pitch black outside the bugs were swarming and they put everything aside to help my family. We found our baby girl 6 hrs after she had gone missing. I can't tell you enough how much it meant to me in that moment of chaos to have them say we will help you. You all are the best. I have been bringing my pets here for about 2 years and have referred a lot of people. I originally came to get my baby girl spayed through the snip program. Mia was at the front desk she came around sat on the floor and starting talking and petting panda. I fell in love instantly. After that I started bringing all my animals there. The doctor is attentive and experienced. Mia and Rachel are amazing. You can tell when people genuinely love animals and it shows all over them. Even my old man Capone at 13 years old will allow them to care for him. He won’t let anyone touch him and I don’t even have to muzzle him cause he knows he’s in good hands. I’ve been to a couple different vet offices and this one is hand down the best. I had an emergency the other day with my 6 month old kitten and all I had to do was make the phone call to them and alley assisted me to come pick up some antibiotics for her sneeze. They don’t over charge you and care about your pets. Love this hospital. Your in good hands. Highly recommended!!!!

The Vet is the best in the area!

They can be busy which is why it's sometimes hard to get them on the phone. Just try again in a few minutes, or leave them a message. They will get back to you quick. Everyone at this clinic is friendly, professional, or always has a smile. Dr. Melgey has always been professional and helped our little guy recover from a terrible wound with very fair prices.

Really happy with my first experience; just came in as a new patient for an annual exam and shots and my kitty had a nice stress free time. I really like that the vet and staff didn’t take my pet away to perform anything behind the scenes. The appointment was quick and easy. I always worry about moving to new places and being able to find a good vet. Dr. Melgey and staff were kind and gentle and very lovely! I’ll be returning with all my pets for anything I need.

The employees are friendly and made sure i understood what was happen to my pet. When I when i asked they made sure i understood what i wad paying for and how to comfort my pet afterwards at home.

Fast and easy nail trim. My dachshund can be very difficult to give a nail trim to but the vet and vet assistant made sure to take it slow and make her feel as comfortable as possible. They play classical music and give treats to provide a relax and calm environment . Had such a great experience

Dr Melgey is the best so far from my 20 years of experience but his staff is terrible. At my first visit they change his prescription to a small not working dose, because that what they had in inventory. Second time they did not tell me that his not in, they decide to check on my cat, They took my cat back, so I can't see that no vet in present, so they could bill me as Mr Melgey did exam my cat. The staff is cheating, arrogant, never go back there. When you'll make your appointment be sure you will see Mr Melgey and not his unprofessional, arrogant, under educated staff will exam your pet.

Everyone there is very nice and they know what are they doing .. the doctor is a very nice , humble and experienced doctor.. I know this place more than 10 years .. I would recommend it.. my cat is very difficult when it comes to trim his nails and they do it without any problem .. thanks !!!

Dr. Melgey has been nothing but honest and helpful since day 1 which is not always easy to find in veterinary medicine. He is still managing to help fur babies during the pandemic which is amazing! We trust him with our pets lives. In fact, he has saved the lives of many pets for us over the years. Highly recommended!!!

Horrible vet do not go here!!! Took our dog here a few months ago and said he was fine. Today he went to a different vet and they said he has a heart murmur and needs to see a cardiologist. Thank god we took him elsewhere because this is a serious problem
