This place is the best for boarding in Pinellas! The negative reviews are simply lies from people who never even owned a horse…. Must suck to have nothing better to do with you life than make up lies about businesses!!! We boarded here first, tried a few other barns and quite simply this is the best.

Friendly people, reasonable rates and a caring owner. My girl will be there soon.

If you're looking for poor management, lack of maintenance, a rat infestation, people who have no business owning horses, and a drama-filled environment, look no further! You've found it at Southern Star Stables. The owner doesn't lift a finger (although will appear to be involved when you first show up with your checkbook...and then does absolutely nothing else but complain), 95% of the boarders either don't ride, don't take care of their horses, or have no idea what they are doing (especially the owner of the Arabians... which have caused multiple injuries to other horses, and the owner has absolutely zero ability to ride or control them, but will be the first to tell everyone else how to ride!). Once the sun sets and it is evening feeding time, the rats come out to play...and by rats, I mean hundreds. Crawling down the rafters, across the horse's backs, and into the food bins, where they contaminate the food and grain with urine and droppings. They chew through food containers and bins overnight, and the owner refuses to do anything about it (or any other issues, as she is cheap, lazy, and has no idea how to run a business). Do yourself a favor and take your horse somewhere safe, CLEAN, and welcoming, where both of you can have an enjoyable time.

We are a close-knit family boarding facility with all the up-scale amenities. The setting is like from an Equestrian dream. I board my horse here because, my OTTB Rescue gets all the top knotch care he needs! All under the most affordable board in Pinellas Park.

Just went to visit this beautiful establishment, and I am just blown away on how breath takingly upscale this Stable is! If you're looking for affordable one on one partial board, this place is for you!!!!

This is my "Happy Place"!!!! I've boarded here for about 5 years now and love Southern Star. I've known Gail for about 20 years and she genuinely cares about her boarders and the horses. Exceptionally clean well maintained barns and property. If something breaks or isn't working correctly Gail makes sure it gets fixed ASAP! My horses are very happy here and so am I. Great group of boarders we have here now make it fun to come hang out!

If you are looking for a wonderful private place to board, I would highly recommend Southern Star Stables. I have had horses boarded at the serene, tranquil, safe & well maintained facility for over a year ago (I recently moved away for College) & have always been treated with respected & kindness at this barn. The owner/ manager Gail is one of the most honest & friendly horsewoman I have ever met in the Pinellas Park horse community.???? I even use to ride at the facility when I was child (before I was old enough for the responsibility of owning horses of my own). The best of the best, never have to worry about anything because of how caring & conscientious the owner & staff are with the horses, children & adults that visit. Horrible place to board: Roofs leaks,people lie and steal. I,ve owned horses in this area for 40 years never had anything stolen from me til i moved here and the person was caught red handed but nothing was done... never got my deposit either, no body does ive heard. I will never go back there...

I just did a tour last week of the Southern Star Stables facilities and I was quite impressed. It's very clean, secure yet homey and all the horses seemed to be happy. I like the family atmosphere and especially the owner! She's great and knows her stuff. It's probably one of the most affordable partial boarding places around. I would highly recommend for horse boarding.
