I took my fur babies to Dr Cogley 12 years ago and got the best treatment ever. He is caring, kind, compassionate and brillant! Nobody compares to Dr Cogley, Barbara or Michelle. Now I work for him! I could not think of a better place to spend my Saturday. I love the babies that come in and their parents. I also work with an awesome lady, Eileen, on Saturday's as well. Come on folks....................bring your babies to see Dr Cogley, you will come back over and over.

I took my puppy in for the first time I had a very pleasant experience I felt that Dr Cogley cared very much about my puppy! I will never go to another vet!!

Trying to get records from this vet for a rescue dog and can get no response whatsoever. Does not respond to other veterinarian! Unbelievable! There should be no stars or negative stars as a rating option.

If I could give this vet negative stars I would. Very unprofessional. I'm assuming that someone must have taken over the practice since there are so many positive reviews. Our story: I was taking a dog in for my boyfriends grandmother who has dementia. His mother had called and set and appointment for (she thought) Monday at 1pm and he was going to take her. He called to verify the appointment on monday... nobody answered the phone and there vm says they aren't open Monday. He went on Google and, same thing. Says they aren't open. Today is now Tuesday. His mother called and the lady (who apparently is the receptionist, vet tech and dr) said she could get the dog in whenever I was available today. When I called, the lady was frantic and very unprofessional telling me how spread thin she was since apparently she is the only one working there. She went on about how we should have showed up for our appointment (even though we tried to confirm and were not the ones who made the original appt). She also said that (without looking up the dog) that most people get a full workup and not just rabies (she should have looked if she was even due for anything else not just assumed she needed it) and then proceeded to say that it would be a day or two and that she can set an appointment but we need to show up. Needless to say, I hung up on her and am now taking the pup to a different vet for the vaccination. End story: Please don't take your animal here. She is so busy that I doubt she can properly assess or care for any animal she takes in. Don't do that to your loved one.

I am beginning to hate this vet with a passion. Last year I brought in my dog it have checkup and schedule surgery to remove his skin tags. Upon arriving the day of my appt I yelled frustrated at them for ignoring me and my dog when we get there for our appt. Which is prior to the another dogs appt that has obviously been there recently. Not to mention we spent more time arguing over their actions then talking about my dog. He even implies I'm overreacting because my dog will get seen. So I was even more appalled as I made this appt knowing something was seriously wrong with my pet. I didn't even get the chance to discuss all the signs I was seeing before my appt was over. At this point for my dog I just moved forward. He isn't a bad vet, he is just not a good listener, prefers to talk and not organized as well as so many other issues. So on the 22nd of Jan., months after our first initial visit he is going in to have his skin tags removed. Long story short the vet was baffled but what he had found in my dog. For his own health and safety they ended up removing only necessary tags, scanning him and probing his lungs. Now a little over a week later we try calling to make an appt to have his stitches removed. I leave messages hoping they will call me back. But they are stating due to a medical emergency they will be closed for the next 2wks. I can't remove his stitches myself. And will another vet even do that? No, they never called or attempted to contact me. My sister told me the last time this happened and she was visiting this vet post the emergency he confided in her that he took time off to work on a personal project. What about my dog dude!? F**k!

Thank you so much for what you did with our love Bailey. We miss her so dearly but because of you we were able to spend more time with her. Barbara and Kacie were also just so sweet and wonderful. This was our family’s first pet to pass on and we had no idea what we were in for. Although our lives are not the same I feel better knowing my baby got the best care she could in her last days. Thank you so much to the staff, thank you for handling her remains, thank you for aiding in our memories. People have no idea how far kindness goes .... you guys exceeded all expectations and I only wish the best for your practice.

Dr. Cogley and his staff are extremely kind, compassionate and treat your baby like their own. They’re always there to answer any questions and give you all of the info you need to know upfront and are incredibly detailed. I have used a couple of different vets in the St. Pete area for my animals I’ve had in the past and I can say hands down they’re truly the best. I’m so glad we took our baby here!

Dr. Tom is a great vet. His staff is kind and caring

This veterinary hospital was recommended to me by someone who found my kitten ! I have had such a great experience with the entire staff and Dr. Cogley! My chiweenie needed a cherry eye fixed and some dental work we had a great initial visit did some blood work prior to her surgery since she is a Lil older :) she had her surgery today along with her dental and she looks amazing I'm so pleased! And very thankful this veterinary hospital was recommended to me !

Best place in pinellas county to take your pets whether they're sick healthy or just need shots! Doctor cogley is very straight forward. And very reasonable prices.

Dr. Cogley and his staff are caring and bend over backwards to help. My hound has never had it so good. Btw, another local vet missed a rotten tooth when cleaning his teeth. It was so bad, I have to suspect that the vet charged for a teeth cleaning that wasn't performed. Another prolonged my dog's suffering rather than recommend euthanasia when it should have been. Hint: I will never again go back to a vet practice with Seminole in its name.

I love this place ! They had so much patience with my English Mastiff and his worried mom! If you have an animal that you have a hard time getting into the vet with ... This is your place ! I will never take my man or any other animal anywhere else! Thank you Dr Cogley and staff !! You all are true animal lovers !

We've been patients with Dr. Tom since...ok, I can't remember how long, I'm just that old. He's cared for my own pets and now for my grown daughter's. He is ethical, practical, empathetic and completely engaged. Visits are relaxed; he and the team take real time with you and your pet on each and every visit. You never get that sense - so common in the local dog-n-cat-n-thanks-for-your-cash practices - that you're just a number on a file. He is at all times honest, and your pet's well being remains at the forefront of his concern. His support staff are some of the most concerned and caring women I've ever met and are in tune with their patients as well as their patient's owners. If you're looking for flash, go elsewhere. If you want sane veterinary care from a trustworthy team, visit Dr. Tom.

I took my new puppy in today for the first time and I cannot tell you how compassionate and caring the staff and Dr Cogley were. My poor pup was loaded with worms and parasites! I feel like he genuinely cares more about your pets health than nickel and dining you like a lot of vet's offices. Thanks again to you and your staff Leo will get better????

Dr Cogley, staff and front desk manager Barbara are fantastic!! I have been to many vet clinics with other dogs and have been charged a lot for vet visits. Bayou veterinary hospital is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and makes sure we have the best care and don't price gouge you! When my border collie had his first puppy vet visit in April I was a little shocked of the small office and rooms. I learned that Dr Cogley is extremely knowledgeable and was a professor too! He gave my dog an examination and saw my dog had parasites by first looking at his white gums and confirmed it with a fecal test!! I was blown away. He gave the treatment and I followed thru, all clear! I already feel like family and it's only been a few months since I have known this veterinary.

I've been bringing my chihuahua Trinity in since she was five weeks... She will be five years old in human years on the 29th of this month. Dr. Cogley is the best vet.... he really cares about his profession and understands that pets become just as important as your children... I refer to my chihuahua as my third daughter.... The staff is also very friendly and professional l wouldn't trust my baby to anyone else!!!

If you want a vet that actually cares for the animals more than the money then you need to come here. I have never met such a great doctor and staff. I recommend this vet to ANYONE. Keep up the good work.
