Although I think this clinic is very hard to financially be able to afford the care at a normal person's income. I will say specific staff members such as Sarah really makes you feel at ease with situations you may be in. Thank you so much Sarah from blus Mama

So I have been there next day after Christmas! It was the saddest day of my life. My baby Figaro was giving up on life. I wouldn't ever think to put my baby to sleep. I had to. Everyone there was more than kind to him and me. I just want to say, Thank you all of you caring for our extended family that don't have the ability to word the pain and suffering!

Thank you, Dr. Kenig, for accurately diagnosing my cat with an intestinal obstruction when several other animal hospitals could not. With her care he was swiftly taken to surgery. The board certified vet surgeons were excellent and communicated with me caringly and effectively. This is not the least expensive animal hospital, in fact it is VERY expensive, but they got the job done when nobody else could and saved my animal which is the most important thing. Thank you for treating my kitty like you would your own animal. Like every other business in America right now, they seemed to be understaffed and overwhelmed at the front desk but I would not let that deter you because the doctors, nurses and techs are excellent and that is all that matters.

My dog had Lymphoma treatment here for a couple weeks before she died. The staff is nice but my last conversation with Dr. Kane was that he didn’t think I’d have to put my dog down the following week, that we still had time. Well the whole weekend was horrible and she was in and out of their ER and they wouldn’t fit her in for treatment early on Monday because a different oncologist was on staff (my dog’s next treatment was Tuesday). Dr. Kane never even called me, so apparently they didn’t even reach out to let him know she was dying. I just wanted help deciding if we had time to wait for one more treatment or not and I never got to talk to him or another oncologist to help me decide. She was suffering and we were holding on just on hope. I was trying to save my baby. We ended up having to put her to sleep mere HOURS before her next treatment with Dr. Kane at the very same facility he arrived at hours later to learn of her death and he NEVER ONCE called to offer his condolences. It has been over a month now and apparently to him, she didn’t matter. I know vets have a really hard job and I try to be so understanding. But this, this felt like my baby, who was my entire world, was just a number to him. And she died and he just went on with life and my whole life shattered. He didn’t even sign the card they sent. I just wanted him to call me and tell me I did the right thing. Or just say he’s so sorry she died, anything to make me feel like she was cared for. So I just wanted to share how hurt that made me in hopes in the future he will reconsider contacting his patients parents after they die. It would have meant a lot. Also it would have been awesome if we were offered ink paw prints and nose prints. We got a clay print but once the crematorium had already cremated her and they called us did we find out nose and paw prints would have been a possibility. Jewelry could have been made from it. That was another crushing blow to be told of this after it was too late for us to do anything. It would cost very little and take very little time to do that for grieving pet owners. I was very thankful for her hair and clay paw print though.

Our Dog woke us up this morning choking and vomiting. He ending up having a seizure. Once, he came to we were refered to Blue Pearl. We immediately brought him in. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Since it was a Sunday and he was stable we waited a while which, we didn't care we were just happy to know that he was doing better and that he would be seen. Out Vet Tech, was outstandingly kind and made Kojack (our dog) feel safe. Kojack is an incredible Dog but can become aggressive during stressful situations out of fear. We told them that Vets have used muzzled him in the past. They took our advice into consideration but were so secure with Kojack that he wasn't muzzled. During his check-up and his X-rays he was a perfect pup. I contribute that to the outstanding level of care he received. Thank you Dr Goins for keeping our boy safe. We are so happy to know that not far from our house we have the best ER available for Kojack. I cannot thank your team enough. You are all heros to our family.

We had a great experience. From the time we walked in until the time we left. Dr Mays was very helpful and knowledgeable. They treated my dog Bailey for an ear wound and made her feel at ease.

We took our 1 year old female cat here after ingesting something she shouldn't have (at Midnight) and they took amazing care of her. The whole staff there was great but have to specially thank Dr. Williams for treating our little girl like her own and helping guide us with her care. Thank you BluePearl Team! We appreciate everything you do!

Idk what these negative reviews are…I brought my kitten in (Larry) one night at 8pm cause he wasn’t peeing. The vet tech came out 10 mins later and explained everything that they saw wrong already, it was a 3 hour wait but it’s an emergency room….where other pets with more of an emergency need to be seen. The front desk girls were amazing and loved Larry. The doctor explain everything to me and the cost. Yes it’s once again and emergency room and will be more costly, as I got recommendations for other places to take him but I processed to just get the testing done there. Had to bring him in the next night at 11pm and he was seen right away and they explained he had no problems and sent me home, they could’ve easily kept Larry to get my money.

We wanted to thank your staff for helping our cat, Mr. Kiwi, today. Also we appreciated your final bill amount since we are seniors on a fixed income. We have always had great service from you for our 2 cats, Mr. Kiwi and his blind son, Bugsy; since besides handling emergencies, you also specialize in cat ophthalmology. We have also thought of your facility as being one of Pinellas County's best animal facilities because you have aways shown compassion to our pets & their owners. Thank you & God Bless You.

My friend & I brought in his 5yr old cat. They made him pay $170.00 + dollars And basically told my friend nothing not even poss issyes...a & said could do not do ANY exam or tests without sedation. Not even a clue what was wrong. BUT being savvy, I did a Google search of the symptoms and guessed it is vestibular disease.... which can only go away on its own. This vet wanted my friend to spend tons of $$$ on diagnostic tests... ridiculous. Plus poor service ...had to wait 1&1/2days tfor medical report.... I needed that to go to regular vet.2 days later reg vet said vestibular disease. Blue Peaarl only cares about invoices

Before visiting last night, I didn’t know what to expect with the negative reviews I had read. I’ve never been to a veterinarian before. Our dog that was abandoned with us got outside for about 30 minutes (per usual as she listens and comes to her name every time)and came back foaming at the mouth, walking in circles, trying to hide, and just all around wasn’t herself. My son and I took her in around 8pm and there was maybe a 5 minute wait. The staff was able to make an account, set us up in a room, and do all the pre screening in under 5 mins. At first, the woman who did the pre screening was a little condescending with an attitude I felt like. I understand what it must of looked like bringing in an animal with no vet or vaccination history that was lethargic and unhealthy looking. I chalked it up to a passion for animals as she was super kind, helpful, and relatable after explaining the situation. They also dropped the bill from 200 something to 63 dollar's and gave us all the necessary information. I hardly ever leave reviews but figured I could maybe even the field a little bit from those that have had negative experiences. We will definitely be back should additional treatment be needed.

I’ve seen some pretty negative things about blue pearl and I have to say I went there last night because my yorkie had eaten an ornament, and his regular vet wasn’t open at that time. They were very polite, clean, the wait time was about 4 hours. But any emergency room you have to wait a long time. I was pleased with the service they provided. They gave us some medication for his stomach. He is doing very well. The prices are a bit much but i care more about my dog getting better than the price.

NO REAL value for the OVERPRICED 'service'. My 5 lbs chihuahua always had a perfect bill of health. I was told my little one had a heart murmur at the regular vet and was referred to BluePearl. I would have liked and at least expected the cardiologist to at least confirm heart murmur. Billed $160 consult for a cardiologist to talk to me for less than 3 minutes. The cardiologist and side kick did not touch Lilly, pick her up or Listen to her Heart to Confirm the murmur. That 3 minute joke of interaction cost $160 and all I was told was it would be over $900 for the test they need to run. Just because the office was clean and the staff spoke 'nice' Does NOT mean there's any real value for the ridiculously priced ' service'. Will not return. Do Not Recommend.

Amazing service provided to my dog. Yes the check in/check up fee is 140, which is a bit of a premium, but this place is worth it. It's very clean and well kept (I saw multiple crew members cleaning on their downtime). I called in advance in regards to their wait time. I had a real emergency and I wanted to go to a place that could take my dog in the fastest. They told me a one hour wait but when I arrived they got my dog in the door immediately. Within an hour I had a list of options presented to me and I went with the option for surgery/mri. My vet left and was on task to ensure she could find a Neurologist to go on-call (it was late) into SCAN which was the closer Neurology vet; the other being Blue Pearl in Tampa. They could have recommended BP due to it being their sister office, but they chose SCAN knowing their proximity and my prior experience at that particular office. These people truly love their pets.

I am so conflicted about writing this review. I’ve used blue pearl tampa before and had received good service. However this past August I took my Milo to get his annual echocardiogram at Clearwater branch since Tampa didn’t have any bookings. Milo’s breathing got worse after getting the echo. The vets didn’t think it was anything to do with his heart so they gave meds to clear his lungs but he was admitted to the hospital given both meds for lungs and and heart and then got discharged. He didn’t do well over night so rushed him to the ER. He was given meds and they discharged him again. Following morning his breathing got worse and we took him back to the blue peal in clearwater. He died of an heart attack. They were super nice but i don’t think they knew what they were doing . If your cat and dog have heart problems avoid this place but for other emergencies they are ok !!!

I'm dog sitting and we ran into a bit of a tooth problem. They were great, took the info I could give them and did what they could and gave me the information I need to get him taken care of further next week. I never hope to end up at an emergency vet, but if I have to in the future, I won't think twice about it and I'll be headed here. Thank you for being accommodating and helpful!

Our little dachshund Marlowe tangled with a rat - she won and the rat died but she seemed to be bleeding pretty badly and he head was pretty covered in blood so we went to BluePearl. Even though they’re still doing COVID protocols we only waiting 5 minutes for them to come out and she was checked out and back with us in less than 20. Great job and super friendly.

Dr. Kelsey Human and Dr. Medora Pashmakova saved my dog’s (Dodger) life. They made a very scary situation tolerable with their kindness, compassion and communication skills. I am forever grateful to them. I’m 9 months pregnant and my son will get to meet our dog because of them. Every single person at reception and all of the technicians (especially Ashley) were extremely kind even when I called excessively to ask questions and check on our little guy. Thank you blue pearl.

I had a pretty serious avian emergency and tried six vets in 3 counties before Blue Pearl took our case. Dr. Blanco and Dr. Helmer worked together to get my precious Izzy through a scary time. I honestly thought I was going to loose him but he pulled through with the help of Blue Pearl's staff. Thank you to all who helped him get back home to me. The drive was more than worth it and words can't express how happy I am to have him back!

This location saved 3 of my pets so far over the years. They are wonderful, friendly staff and always take care of my babies. I don’t trust any other hospital during emergencies. Very quick and keep me updated on everything that is happening.

I cannot thank Dr Williams and the staff enough for taking my sweet kitty so quickly when she was actively dying. Your kindness, knowledge, and patience with me is appreciated more than you'll ever know. Thank you for making the process of saying goodbye to my baby much easier even with the inevitable business formality that follows.

We have been waiting for 6 hours for our dog to be seen. The only communication was when we called every hour to see where we were in line. To be told every hour our dog was up next. We left and went to another vet. Stay away from here!

My animals are my life, and at 1 am I knew something was wrong with my cat. I called and they advise for me to bring him in. Everyone was soooooo nice and informative! After my past experiences with vets and my animals I have a bit of PTSD and they truly helped put me at ease and did everything they could to fix my situation!!! I am so beyond thankful for them and I would highly recommend anyone needing an emergency vet to come here. Thank you all so much for everything!!!!!
