We have been taking my bully there for years . Every time we take her it was a $300 $400 dollar bill all they would say is she had an eye allergy BE AWARE my dog was dying I asked to get a. Referral to an eye doctor and that’s when we found out she lost her eye it wasn’t an allergy and she was in a lot of pain and was going to die . Be aware

I had an absolutely wonderful experience here with Dr. Ramirez. My cat is 17 years old and my little baby. She gets constipation ever so often and this time I had to bring her in to a vet … she hasn’t been in 17 years so you can imagine I was very nervous! From the second I called to the moment we walked in everyone there was so nice, caring and professional! I even had to take her back today for a check up no charge. I live about 25 minutes away but will definitely make the drive over and over again. 5 stars!

I’ve been to many vets and Dr lakhan and de Kuhn are the best! They explain everything in detail and are very compassionate. The vet technicians are also great as well as the front desk staff.

I like them. My dog was non stop bleeding out of her butt and they prescribed her the proper medication to get better. Really appreciated the follow up contact. Will be returning to get her vaccines

Don’t bring your beloved pets to VCA Silver Lakes Animal Hospital I brought my daughter’s bunny for boarding during holiday. When picking it up they finished paperwork, charged me for the “services” and then told me the bunny was dead. The bunny was eating and drinking water normally that they found it dead and bleeding from its mouth !!! Please share this as much as possible. I can dispute with credit card and buy another bunny but I can not fix my daughter’s broken hearth. I don’t want you to have to go through the pain of telling your kids that the place you choose to take care of their best friends actually we believe they killed them with no believable reason!!!

My chihuahua started yelping for no reason. She would Yelp like in terrible pain and then stop. She did this 3 times in one hour. Called vca silver lakes our vet at 4:30. They close at 5pm. I explained the situation and said I could get her there in 5 minutes. The receptionist asked the vets if they could wait. They said sorry not sorry. They couldn't wait 5 minutes and stay a little while to see a pet in distress. Shame on you vca silver lakes. My vet not my vet for long.

We took our puppy Tyten as an emergency at 7:15 pm, mind you they close at 7:30. He was hyper salivating, had vomited and had a seizure about 30 minutes before we arrived. We were freaking out about our puppy’s health and what caused this. Josh took immediate care of our puppy and had such a positive attitude, which was comforting because we were extremely nervous. Tyten’s gums were cleaned and he was back to normal. Josh sent us home with food, positive vibes, and an appointment for the next day. All of the staff are kind, respectful and empathetic. Dr. Lorenzo took her time with me and Tyten and ensured he got the best care. We only had Tyten for 4 days before this happened and we are first time dog parents. Looks like Tyten found his vet.

They always do a great job of taking care of my dogs. Vet is very pleasant and takes the time to explain in detail how my dog is doing. Happy to bring my pets here.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would lol. I came here because my friend recommended it. I loved the staff I won’t lie, super awesome sweet people. Customer service was good. I just didn’t like the fact that they tested my dog and turned out she had a urine infection. So they prescribed amoxicillin but 4 days INTO THE TREATMENT they send me a message telling me that the medicine they gave my dog wasn’t going to work “the new medicine will be ready for pick up” AND I HAD TO PAY FOR IT AGAIN EVEN THO THEY PRESCRIBED THE WRONG MEDICINE. What if my dog would’ve had an allergic reaction to the medicine? She got diarrhea bc the original medicine had side effects. My poor dog suffered because of these people.

I have been going to Dr. Kuhn and the amazing staff for many years. They are so very caring, helpful and treat my dog and me with the utmost respect. Dr. Kuhn cares about all of her patients and their animals. She is the best vet and she is thorough and an expert in her field. I value her opinion and always follow her instructions as animals are her number one priority in her practice. I am so very happy that she is my dog's vet. I appreciate Dr. Kuhn and her kind staff and feel lucky that I found them!

VCA, all they care about is money. The worst place ever. I brought a puppy that I found. I couldn't find the owner and I had no history of the puppy. The puppy seemed to be sick, he had a physical and Dr. Lakhan told me the puppy was fine, but she charged me for fluid and injection for vomiting. The next day the puppy was so sick. She did an x-ray instead of blood test. Then, she decided afterward to check for parvo virus. The test came back positive and the first thing she said it will cost me over $2,000.00 dollars for the puppy to stay in the hospital. I didn't have the money so she told she will do home care treatment and I need to bring the puppy daily I spent over $500 dollars for the puppy treatment and an additional $30 dollars each day for treatment. After two days of treatment the puppy looked really sick. I took him in and Dr. Lakhan didn't even come outside to check on the puppy. Unfortunately, that night, he got worse and I took him to another hospital but it was too late and he died. The next day, I didn't show up for the treatment no one calls to check. They wait after two days to check with me. It is so ridiculous and heartless. Some of the staffs were nice but this doctor cares only about money. Just ridiculous.

Great place to take your pet! Staff is friendly, helpful, and caring. Dr. Kuhn is the best!!!!! She is a true animal lover and treats our pets with nothing but love. We love Dr. Kuhn!!!!!! Our bad boy Ace is lucky to have the best vet I have ever met!!!!

In September I started taking my senior dog since his previous vet retired & did not have a great experience with another vet in the area. First two visits were not bad. However, my dog became ill & I called & asked for advice & first I was told I should of called hours ago well as I previously explained it just occurred so how could I had called hours before?!? Then I was told ok well if I could be there within 15 mins I said within 10 mins so I headed on my way within 5 mins before arriving I am called back to be told well actually the vet is on the way out you can go to an emergency animal hospital (it was a Saturday) I most definitely couldn’t believe how inconsiderate & cold that was! I definitely won’t bother going back I need a caring, patient & friendly place especially with a senior dog honestly treated like he is just another number!

Even though I moved I still make the drive over here because of how great this place is

By far the best vet in the area. I do a lot of rescue work and since day one the staff has been accommodating to all my needs and compassionate to all my crazy dogs. Dr. Kuhn is the best! She's patient and loving to my big mean dog. The manager, Cristina, is always available to assist me and she treats my furbabies like family. Thank you to the entire staff!

Our sweet cat declined suddenly today. It was time to say goodbye. We called our normal vet Pines West animal hospital and were not helpful and couldn’t get us in during this emergent, difficult time. From the moment I called VCA they immediately were empathetic to our situation and promptly gave me an appointment 1.5 hours from The time I called. They were truly caring and there in or time of need. We are thankful for their kindness. If my mom ever gets another animal this will be the place she comes.

So the other day my grandma took her 2 old chihuahua's for their yearly wellness she has been seeing Dr Lakhan for many years. we love her shes and amazing vet however ever since the hospital got bought out by VCA there prices have sky rocketed and they severely ripped off my grandma. she saw a different Dr because her vet wasn't available. she was very upset and made me angry when she came home and told me. we used to love that place but its changed for the worst unfortunately do to becoming a vca corporate.

Amazing! I've had my fair shares of vets and Dr. Kuhn is by far the best! She is so patience and good with dogs. I've had the puppy nightmare, my pup has had all sorts of things and she always one phone call away with the best solution. Awesome staff as well, compliments to Dr. Kuhn!
