I was travelling and realized that I would not have enough of my pets medications to last my trip. My own vet was not licensed to prescribe in Florida and I had a lot of trouble getting other animal hospitals, including Banfield, to even agree to see me. Not only was Ellenton AH able to get me an appointment right away, they were right on time and great with my pet. The veterinarian and all of the staff were pleasant and professional. I am very grateful to them for their help!

We just moved to the area from out of state. Our cat was ill and I was able to get her in fairly quickly. I think the staff was very nice. I did have to return the next day as out cat was not too cooperative for blood work. We returned the next day and they got what they needed. Just waiting on test results. Overall good experience for me. Thank you.

been going to this place for over 20 some years the dogs I have since their babies there going to be 13 this month and I had a dog 15 years, always had good results still going to Ellington Animal hospital my babies are 15 and they're doing great and I figured out I've been going to this place for 30 years now I have never had no problems always taking care of my dogs

I am new in the area and my pug developed a cyst like bump on his foot. They took me the day after I called. They were quick to get me back to see the doctor and very friendly and professional. They worked with medication I already had not to over sell me medications and also gave me tips on how to maybe prevent future allergy flair ups. I felt very comfortable with the Doctor and the staff.

My cat Minnie was having trouble urinating and was found to have kidney stones which needed removal. After the first surgery at Ellenton Animal Hospital, she couldn't urinate at all and showed signs that she was is terrible pain. She had a 2nd surgery two days later by another Doctor also at Ellenton Animal Hospital. He discovered fragments of the stone were left behind and were blocking a passage. Following this surgery, Minnie was still not urinating. It was now the weekend so she had to be taken to a 24 hour emergency clinic which found that the 2nd surgery left her bladder leaking into her abdomen, causing her blood levels to spike dangerously. She had her 3rd surgery at the Veterinary Surgery Center of Sarasota where they discovered stone fragments were still left behind. The Surgery Center successfully cleaned and properly stitched the bladder and Minnie is finally recovering properly. The ineptitude of the procedures performed at Ellenton Animal Hospital would've killed my cat if she hadn't received proper care from another facility. What should've been a simple procedure became a stressful and expensive week and a physically traumatic event for Minnie. I wish I would've gone somewhere else to begin with.

This was our first visit after relocating from out of state. My dog was very nervous and the staff was amazing with him! They were very helpful and supportive and I would recommend them to anyone! So glad to have found Ellenton animal hospital and get established with their practice. Looking forward to many years of them taking care of my fur baby!

I brought my cat to the vet. he had the sniffles the doctor was so wonderful to give this little guy of six months old some medicine that I just adopt, I will be going here. Tina Schwartz

All the staff were great. The doctor we saw, and the technician, were especially great with our cats today!

We've been using EAH for 4 years now. They've always taken great care of our fur babies. They have gone thru some changes recently, and now in order to get the required vaccinations, they also require that you pay for a "wellness" check...so I went from expecting perhaps a $120 vet bill to one over $200! Sadly I feel this is a poor means of generating more revenue.

Our dog had some major surgery and that went well and fine but afterwards the pain management was bad. Our dog suffered for 2 weeks in pain. We called a few times to get actual pain meds. She still has not been the same.

My dog was in distress and the vet's office that I have been going to for over 10 years refused to see her ( It was just past lunch time, 1:30) and the afternoon appointments would be coming in soon they said maybe they could see her in 3 days= DUH!!! ) I went to the Ellenton office and even though they had patients starting to show up for afternoon appointments they agreed to work us in. the were very kind and professional and took great care of my little dog Wingnut, I will continue to take my animals there,

Dr Eskew took the time to explain everything she was doing for our dog. She was knowledgeable and empathetic.

Sent home with to many scripts had to go to animal hospital fetch highly recommended he addressed issue much more on point no dog can handle 9 pills 2x a day so over done wasn't impressed 180.00 later stuck with all these scripts

I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS PLACE. THEY ALMOST KILLED MY DOG! We went there because our dog was not feeling well and our regular Vet could not get her in. They took an X-Ray of our dogs abdomen and told us that there was a huge mass and that she would only have 2-3 weeks to live. They kept suggesting euthanizing our dog. They gave us a place that would do an Ultrasound for $800-$1000. We decided to do the ultrasound before we made any decisions, the place looked at the X-ray we got from Ellenton Animal Hospital and did the ultrasound and found No MASS. Our second opinion said what Ellenton Animal Hospital was calling a huge Mass was actually her stomach. That our dog actually had an infection. I am just in shock that a TRAINED VET could not tell the difference between a Dogs Stomach and a Mass. To think if we didn't have the resources, our dog would have been put down for no reason due to a TERRIBLE MISDIAGNOSIS FROM ELLENTON ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Our dog is on the right antibiotic and is now happy and back to herself. I Just Want To Put this out There as a Warning to All! BE CAREFUL! Best thing this Place gave us was the information to our second opinion Fetch in Brandon!

My fur baby Bruiser is my little love . He is 14 years young and has been diagnosed with cancer. He’s a little fighter however I think his fighting may be coming to an end ????. They’ve given him such help love and caring and he’s still holding on. The doctor Dr. Diane and the staff at Ellenton Animal Hospital have all been so so wonderful. My husband Dan and I could not of asked for a better veterinarian to look after our fur baby. They are just awesome!

Friendly place. Had to cancel an appointment and they were so understanding. When I was ok they scheduled me right away.

I have been a customer for years. I would not think of going anywhere else. The entire team is caring, concerned, professional, & understanding.

Previously we had brought our dog to another practice and was given a treatment plan we did not feel was right. We decided to use Ellenton Animal Hospital and was impressed with the level of care our dog received and the amount of time the doctor spent reviewing the actual issues with our dog. Since that day our dog has improved drastically and the treatment plan was 25% of what the other practice was quoting. I highly recommend this practice. Greg Para

they were very expensive but very thorough and complete. I would use them again and my girl Honey was very happy with them. thT they were very expensive but did the job completely
