We took our dog yesterday evening for emergency surgery. We called prior to coming and they were very responsive and friendly. We were given a walk through of exactly what was going to happen and what the procedural details were from the Dr …

My cat Motti was acting strange one night, sitting in the litter box but not using the bathroom and crying when I touched him. I called my vet and they recommended bringing him here. I was told is urinary tract infection and a blocked urethra Sarah and Dr Holly Brown-Tabbenor were very helpful in a difficult time for Motti, I didn’t know how serious his condition was and how much pain Motti was in. I had to bring him in multiple times however they were very helpful on the cost of only giving him what he needed, and not only that I called them close to 10 times to ask them questions about Motti (regarding his UTI and medication) and every single time they were more then happy to help stay on the phone with me and answer my questions regarding his condition. I don’t know why the reviews are poor here but they took really good care of my boy Motti and I am forever greatful

people don’t bring your pet here!!!!, My Lexie was due for a c-section on Thursday the 28 and on the 27 she was not eating or drinking water and had diarrea and was vomiting, before leaving the house I took her temperature and she was 101.8 so I took her to them around 3 pm, they did a blood test and her kidney function was elevated so they told me that she need it fluids until 12:00 AM and that they will give her something to relax her, during the day and night I call them to check on her, they keep telling me that she was ok, doing better and that she slept for a while, around 9 pm, I call them again and the doctor said that I can pick her up at 11:00, and that they can give her the same medicine to relax her during the night so we went, they rushed her outside, and on the way home( not 10 minutes later), she made a weird sound and stop breathing, I call them on my way back( at this time my daughter was screaming for her and giving chest compressions), and when we got there they didn’t want to open the door, finally they did and told me to go to another ER, that she couldn’t help me bc the doctor left already, and she slam the door on me, we did took her to the other place but she was gone, they did took her puppies out but they didn’t make it either, the doctor told me that she probably died from a heat stroke bc the puppies were too hot( 106), these people don’t have compassion and only care about money, until today, I have not received a phone call from them, so PLEASE, if you love your pet, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE!!!

Normally I am not the person to write reviews but the scam of this office to take advantage of people is beyond me. Our dog had two staples placed in her dew paw by our vet from a cut a week earlier. The staples began to fall out but our vet was closed so we went to this animal emergency center as the cut was slightly bleeding. I had no problem giving them our dog and waiting outside to be called because of Covid. However the vet called us on the phone explained the treatment option, was curt and rude not giving much an explanation. We asked for an estimate of both options to see all it entailed and met outside with the front desk lady. They wanted to charge us $1,600 to put her under anesthesia to close the wound. We were confused because our own vet never put our dog under a major surgery and when we asked simple questions about why this surgery the advisor had no answer but “why would you want your dog to suffer”. Clearly we don’t want our dog to suffer we wanted an explanation. With the $100 visit to just be seen by the vet we asked the advisor if we could have the vet come out and speak to us as they were expecting us to put our dog under a surgery without giving us almost any details. The vet came out, was rude, unprofessional, and acted as if we were wasting her time. At that point, our dog wasn’t in any physical pain we said we would take her to our vet in the morning to be checked if they could just remove the staples. The vet said she would not remove the staples because she didn’t want to mess with another vets work. By then we were done, asked for our dog back and we would wrap her paw with bandage and clean with saline at home and bring her to our own vet in the morning. When we got home, after all that attitude from the vet she ended up removing the staples anyway when specifically telling us she would not. We brought our dog to our own vet this morning told them about the $1,600 surgery to reclose the wound just to be told by our vet and two techs that it was pointless and they were blown away that was an option because her wound had already been closed and looked fine. All we have to do is make sure she doesn’t lick the spot to reopen the site and keep her cone on when we aren’t at home. I understand if my dog was seriously wounded and it’s an emergency it might be easier to take advantage of people but I don’t know how this vet is still in practice. I have been around dogs my whole life and have never seen a vet office be so unprofessional, rude and blatantly treat animals like a dollar sign. Please don’t take your animals here, find somewhere a little more reputable.

Went here because my dog was bleeding from the ear really badly and every vet I called said to take him to an emergency clinic once I got here the lady open the door and greeted us I explained to her that he doesn’t bite but he does bark and asked for a Muzzle I started putting it on him and she walked inside seconds later she walked back out as I was adjusting the size of the muzzle because it was 2 small. She then said oh he pulled it off himself? And I answered no it was just to small I couldn’t fit it on his head so I was adjusting it She walked back inside I finally get it on his head and she walks back out and says she cannot take him because they don’t want to be bitten I try to explain he doesn’t bite that he won’t bite her or anyone he just very vocal and she says he can’t take him. Him still bleeding from his ear I handed her the muzzle back and she goes inside slamming the door behind her. You are a vet your whole job is about helping an animal in need. We weren’t being rude he wasn’t aggressive he just vocal he’s literally a small 9 year old Chihuahua. If your animal actually needs help don’t bother going here if I could you guys no stars I would.

Unprofessional. How can you deny an animal in pain just for barking? This just makes me sad at how sick and heartless you can be in order to send a small harmless dog who was constantly bled out of his ear back home without treatment just because the dog was barking at people. If this was my dog you would have never heard the end of It and if anything would have happened to her I would’ve seen you in court! Please people if your dog needs urgent medical attention, DO NOT COME HERE. They don’t care about your pets! Horrible service would not come here ever again!

I have had so many friends come to this place and either be denied help for not valid reasons simply because they did not want to help the animal or they just have had bad experiences at this location.

This place is extremely gross and 100% don’t recommend the employees are super disrespectful and unprofessional! i took my cat and they did horrible things to her im absolutely astonished of what my regular vet told me after i went here. one of the employees slammed the door at me while trying to explain something to them about my cat. this is definitely one of the worst places i’ve been to. and they definitely don’t know what they’re doing.

My cat had a late night emergency when she got out and was attacked by other feral cats that live in my neighborhood. It was late and not many places were available but these guys were in too of it and saw that she was taken care of from the moment I walked in. My baby is doing a lot better now and I knowingly because of her getting the treatment she needed ASAP. Big thanks to “Sara” for making sure my girl was as comfortable as possible.

Had to bring my baby since she had a upper respiratory infection and was getting worst. They were super nice and fast. Gave me everything I needed for my sweet girl to get better and even gave me a keychain with her picture! Would definitely recommend and have them as my emergency vet.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Animal Emergency Center for after-hours veterinary care!!!! In a freak accident, my young cat Dave severed his tongue almost 2/3 of the way across. Very few veterinarians are willing to perform emergency surgery on soft tissue, but Dr. Tabbenor readily took on this case. Immediately after the surgery she brought me up to date with pictures and texts as to what had happened, as well as calling me to let me know that it went well. Because of her expertise, she was able to save my cat’s tongue and thus my cat’s life. When I picked Dave up, she went thru very detailed explanations and guidance regarding home care for him. For each of the follow up visits, Dr Tabbenor and her staff were just as thorough in answering all of my questions. She and her staff – Nurses Justin, Sara and Vicki - have been phenomenal to work with. These wonderful Nurses all exhibited exceptional skills, knowledge, a caring manner and concern for Dave’s well-being, as well as taking a very personal interest in him during each visit. Dave, who is not good around strangers, responded amazingly well to their exceptional handling of him as they were treating him initially and on the follow up visits. This whole frightening experience was made much easier because of the care and treatment provided by the Animal Emergency Center. Dave is now at home and recovering from what could have been a fatal accident. I highly recommend Dr Tabbenor and her team to anyone seeking excellent after hours care for their furry family members!!!!

Just got a puppy today and it was clear something was wrong. I lost my debit card so I had a hard time figuring out payment but staff was nice and helped me figure everything out. I couldn't afford a fecal test at the moment and figured I'd have to bring her back another day but the staff went a head and dewormed her for me without charge. Few hour later and its clear miss stella has worms and should make a speedy recovery due to the staff here they even gave me a Keychain with her picture

We are new pet owners and have had to bring our puppy there twice, both times being after 9pm. We were greeted and had our puppy taken back immediately. The doctor was incredibly professional and you can tell that everyone there truly loves their jobs which made the experience far less terrifying. I’m just worried that our puppy might love her favorite nurse, Vicki, so much that she’ll start faking illnesses just to go see her again.

If you love your pet please please PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM HERE! These people only care about money and nothing else. They also have the most unprofessional staff my family has ever dealt with. There are better clinics in the area who will treat you and your pet with compassion and won’t over charge you.

I brought my beagle in a week ago around 11pm. She ate something toxic and became unresponsive and lost control of her muscles. We didn’t think she was going to make it, but they saved her life. Dr Holly and her staff were so kind and responsive every time I called through out the night to check on her status. I can’t recommend this office enough if you ever need an animal er.

My puppy had to come in for an emergency linear foreign body exploratory surgery late on a Monday. I dropped her off and was told how everything would go in detail. During the surgery, I called once to check in and was told she was doing well. When Nala got out of surgery I received a few photos and texts to let me know how she was doing. When I went to pick her up the following day, I was able to speak to Dr Tabbenor directly and she talked through everything she and the techs did that evening, how Nala was recovering and what next steps were. In the evenings following, I called a few times to ask questions and was always greeted with kindness and received a ton of help. It’s been one week and Nala is well on her way to recovery thanks to this place. You all saved my puppy’s life and I couldn’t thank you enough. You’re true heroes for everything you do. I hope we never have to come back, but if we do, I know Nala is safe and in highly capable hands.

The staff was horrible here and they do not care about you or your pets at all. No payment plans or anything. Full of greedy selfish workers.

I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism when trying to receive care for my pet. The clinic had received information from my vet prior to opening that I had an animal in critical condition that would need immediate care. They let my vet know that they open at 5 pm. I left the parking lot at 6:15 pm having called multiple times and leaving several voicemails with no response. I also rang the doorbell and knocked on the door. My animals condition was compromised having to wait so long to receive absolutely no care.

I have obviously used Google for information countless times in years past, but have never until today felt compelled to get on and share a bad experience. We were greeted by the nurse or vet tech who was very nice, extremely helpful and showed genuine concern for my dog, who had a severe problem with his eye that was worsening at a rapid pace. . After taking my dog’s vitals, She brought in dr. Tabbenor. It is not an accident that I did not capitalize the word “doctor.” She walked in, barely looking up or saying hello to us, and completely ignored my dog, displaying a total lack of compassion. She then proceeded to inexplicably tell us that she would not be able to help and that we should take him somewhere else because she did not believe he would be able to stay still long enough to treat the eye. Even after I replied that I would do everything I could to keep him still as possible, this person named Tabbenor simply retorted with reasons she disagreed and said in a very abrasive tone “I’m not going to wrestle this dog,” even though no one in the room ever suggested she should or even hinted that we would expect her to hold him still instead of me doing it. . I calmly said “so you’re telling me to take him somewhere else for treatment.” The lady with a clipboard in her hand and a title in front of her name finished this masterpiece of compassionate dialogue by answering, “I think so.” Zero compassion for our dog or his suffering , zero professionalism. She was rude without reason and truly acted as if we were inconveniencing her by being there. I am still in shock and disbelief over how she behaved. She is in the wrong profession, period. Do not take your animal here unless you want them to be treated with a complete lack of care or compassion for their emergency. And now, judging from the owner’s responses to the other reviews listed here, I will sit back and watch her try to punch holes in my story and tell me that what I thought I saw, I did not. That her entrance into the room and the conversation that ensued was nothing Less than caring, loving towards my dog, and polite towards us. That I obviously just misunderstood everything you said and how you said it. I am sounding the alarm loud on this place because I know there are many other people out there who love their dogs like I love mine, and the idea of someone acting this way toward your animal and about the situation he or she is going through, is absolutely abhorrent and disgusting. Lady with clipboard, you now have the floor.
