Outstanding facility to bring your canine companion for health care. The "Doc" was outstanding and kind. Excellent clean facility and courteous staff. However, the fees are or seem high compared to other similar veterinarian offices.

Best place to bring your dog! I recently moved away from the area but still take my dog there. Really good Doctors and staff! Update 8/13/21: My dog Neelix 9 years old was having issues of unable to get up after back legs would go out from under him. I took him to a vet in Jacksonville because it was closer and they told me he was just getting old. I took him to Sandy Paws for a second opinion and Dr. Sands started him on laser therapy. After 7 treatments he is getting around so much better!!! I really appreciate the great staff and a special thank you to Angie for making sure he was getting the best care during the therapy! Can't thank Sandy Paws enough for everything and not giving up! Sandy Paws is busy, but there is a reason for this. Be patient and it will be worth the wait!

We absolutely LOVE Sandy Paws! She has saved our dog’s life by her knowledge and care! On top of this, she truly has a heart that genuinely cares for her patients and wants to see them be happy and healthy! My dog looks forward to her visits and we do too bc of how wonderful she is!

Very caring doctor and techs. We have had Royce treat him since we got him as a rescue dog 7 years ago.

The vaccine certificate does not have vet liscence number on it so you cant get tag from Duval Co. They don't know their own liscence. Is vet on staff liscence. What's so hard about providing your own liscence number. I tried for hours

I want to say something positive, but I can’t. Expect to wait FOREVER. The VET does not come Into the room to look your dog / animal with YOU. And they will always find something else wrong with your animal to CHARGE YOU FOR. YOU have to be knowledgeable. Watch what they say. Google it. Get a second opinion. It’s a friendly staff. But my experience felt very sketchy. I HATE to be up charged for things. And I never ONCE SAW THE VET actually look at my dog in front of me. I am switching to hopefully someone I can TRUST. Good luck to them though. Love to all pet parents. We are vulnerable and THEY KNOW THAT.

First time patient. Just adopted a rescue pup and was worried about him not eating or going potty. This office was awesome. Got me right in, and eased my mind.

Great place, worked here for three years, and it's upgrading, the Dr.Sands is wonderful, at both her job and being a good person, the desire to best help your pet is always there, even when owners dont reciprocate that desire, and

I have been using Sandy Paws since I moved to Florida (they were Wells Road Veterinary Clinic when I got here) in 2009. They have always taken good care of my fur babies. I love the new location. There is a lot more parking and it is easier to get into. I love the staff, they are always smiling and nice to talk to.

Clean and efficient. Never had an issue with them. They do not try to upsell you anything.

I took my dog here who was having a really bad neurological issue. She was dying in front of me. There wasn’t much they could do which I can understand and they gave me a reference to a neurological center in which my dog was put down. On my way out, the vet told me to “take a Valium”... take a Valium? I have thought long & hard about doing this review and have decided to go for it. (This happened in January 2020) Just because the vet is de-sensitized with dog deaths/pain doesn’t mean the client is. I wasn’t even that emotional there. (Wasn’t sobbing or shouting or anything, just a concerned dog lover.) I’ll never forget being dismissed from this place with those words. Extremely unprofessional. I loved that dog. She was dying in front of me and I get a “take a Valium.” Unreal.

Love this vet and won't go anywhere else. They may be booked at times but will try to get your pet in and be common sense about care and treatement. All of my pets have gone here and their support for their journey "over the rainbow bridge" has been phenomenal both with calls and cards. Thank you to all the staff!

Over priced. Tried to charge 150 per every kitten in the litter. Found a much cheaper place on San Jose, I recommend.
