Nicole and her team did an amazing job on my beagle boy. We are new to the area and apprehensive about taking him just any place. I read the awesome reviews and took a chance. Now I know why they have 5 stars. They have the most knowledgeable and caring staff. Thank you, Nichole and the team. I highly recommend Uptown Paws!!

They do an excellent job, I know my Rocky can be a handful, but he always comes back to me with a perfect cut and style. The ladies are so nice and patient. YES he is quite the diva haha

We can't say enough good things about the service we received from Nicole and her team. Our little poodle had been a stray and came to us all matted. Nicole had to shave our Kaycee, but left her with the cutest ears and tail and just a little bit of a poodle tuft on top of her head. The loving care Nicole places in her work was obvious from the moment we walked in the door and discussed our new pet's needs. Thank you, Uptown Paws Pet Spa!

These women are absolutely incredible. I wish I could give 10 stars. This is a long review, but worth the read (IMO, lol). I’d like to tell you WHY, exactly as possible, I’d give them 10 stars, any day. They just deserve so much praise and this back story will tell you why. I also LOVE praising local small business, incredible women who are doing their thang and anyone else that goes above and beyond what is required. So here goes! My little Shitzhu has some neurological issues that cause panic and stress and anxiety. He has mini seizures and little things that contribute to his nightmare of getting groomed. Lol! He was traumatized at a place when he was a puppy (he’s 12 now) and ever since has had major issues at the groomers (the vet, too.... but moving on....). Over his 12 years, I was lucky enough to find 2 special groomers that each had him for about 5 years. 1st one retired, 2nd one just couldn’t deal with him anymore (understandably and she was very nice about it. And he has gotten worse about it in his later years.). Sooooooo, I was on the hunt. I googled Ocala dog groomers and started calling. I was upfront and honest on each phone call. I needed someone that was willing to work with him, and myself and crazy schedule (Uptown is open on Saturdays!). I called about 8 places, one of which still had his old record and said absolutely not (lol, omg... my flippin’ old man Shitzhu has a record ????! The dude is like, 10 pounds, soaking wet with no fur. Haha! But he’s such a meanie during his haircuts!) And then Uptown was next in line on the Google call list. I talked to her for about 15 minutes that first phone call. She was so patient, really listened and then explained to me that both of them had tons of experience in special needs dogs, elderly dogs, etc... and would be happy to try! ❤️ He’s done so well with them since then! And this last experience made me love this place even more. I got very sick and he was behind schedule by 3-4 weeks. He was very matted bc I kept bathing him, trying to get them out, and making them worse. Which I did not know at the time. So, I clipped out as many as possible for them and called and let them know what was up. So, they managed to get his whole body shaved, but couldn’t get his face. So I went up there and talked to him while she finished getting some of his face done. After a time, he wasn’t having it, so we left it as is. I’ve realized this is going to be a battle his last remaining years, so I want it to be as smooth as possible for both the ladies AND my dog. They said they’d still be willing to work with him, even after all that. I was so happy! And so pleasantly surprised at how they spoke to me and handled everything. I learned so much from this experience that I did not know at all before. So, these ladies are kind and patient and deserve your business. This has been a struggle for my dog for his whole life. I’m glad we’ve found some ladies to help us in the rest of the journey.

First experience. It was good. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is because of the first visit.

After being turned away at my Vet, who refused to cut my dog's nails because my dog was too aggressive, I didn't know what to do. Well...the young woman at Uptown, in Ocala was able to sand my dog's nails. This young lady is part pet psychologist, part groomer, and part angel all in one. She soothed the savage beast in my pit/mastiff, Tidy, and he succumbed to her will. The young lady also advised me on managing Tidy's behaviour. I am so thankful. Also, the shop was so cute and clean. It is just south of Evergreen Elementary school, and behind McDonalds and Harvey's (what used to be Winn-Dixie).

Looks great on the outside, but I was at the Solon get for getting my hair loc. Great barbers.

She smelled nice but the cut was choppy, the ears and tail we're not trimmed at all and looked stringy as if they hadn't even been brushed. Also was told at drop off that they would be calling to let me know how she did, when they called they basically just said your dog is ready bye.

My little dog is a handful, and I've left other shops feeling embarrassed by his "attitude". These ladies made it seem like a breeze. They have a way with animals and you can tell they truly care. Amazing place!

We had our Aussie groomed and shaved down and they did a great job. Our dog has issues with grooming since we took him to a Petsmart when he was really young. He is a challenge to groom. They were super nice and worked with him and he was fine with the groom. I am so happy we found them and their price was really reasonable.

I'm very impressed with the work of these kind and caring women. My little puppy goes in looking a hairy mess and leaves looking like brand new!!! But even more important is there attitude towards customers and the puppie they are a full service salon!!! They are very helpful and knowledgable about all things dogs and make the owner feel very comfortable!!! I give them a hundred stars and so does little November!!! She had her own beauty salon!!!
