Maricamp Animal Hospital Ocala, Florida

They are great for routine exams and such, super nice and helpful, but were severely lacking in the emergency response. I was told no emergency vets available on a Sunday, but could bring my cat in on Monday. He crashed Monday morning and upon arriving we called AND text that there was an emergency and all we got was “we’ll be right there.” As they were coming in and out of the building getting others animals as well as cleaning their signs. We waited for over an hour to even be spoken to! My cat DIED WHILE WE WAITED. Then, we were told there wasn’t even a vet on staff yet! As I said, great for routine, but don’t take your animal there for an emergency. We love this vet but for the last year every visit has taken 2+ hours of sitting in the car waiting on our dog. I understand being short staffed but you're obviously overbooked because the parking lot is always slammed. Going to start looking elsewhere because the waiting is just out of hand anymore! ????

A+ service from vet care to boarding. This was the first time I have ever left my two dogs with anyone, and I was relaxed the entire time. Dogs were happy and healthy at pickup.

Great service and staff in Maricamp Animal Hospital! Dr. Otero is an amazing and lovely vet that will take care of your fur baby as it’s her own, and Stephanie have such a great and sparkly energy. They all make your visit a pleasant one!

Dr. O’Brien & Otero are amazing veterinarians! All of my four legged babies are handled with love and compassion. The staff are equally as amazing! Everything was explained in detail, I knew exactly what I was spending and knew what gunner and pistol were getting in return. Thank you again for taking your time and patience! We love MAH.

What a horrible horrible experience at this facility! I would never recommend anyone to bring their pet here. This is not a friendly place. They don’t care about the pet owners and I doubt that they care about the pets as well. This place should be shut down!

I would not recommend this vet to my worst enemy! I took my french bulldog in for emergency evaluation for severe pain and he was diagnosed with an ear infection. the next day my dog was in more pain and lethargic so I called them to let them know. I was not offered to have him seen again only prescribed pain meds. I ended up having to take him to another vet to find out that he was in severe pain due to a pinched nerve in his spine! 5 days of suffering and pain! They are short staffed and very overpriced and Obviously are too busy to have compassion for your fur baby. Horrible experience!! No stars!!

I can not express how much I love Maricamp Animal Hospital. They are so professional and courteous. My pup and I absolutely love them!! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

We decided to switch to Maricamp animal hospital after a service decline in our vet of over 10 years. Our dog was recently diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and suffering with symptoms. The level of care we have experienced with this clinic is amazing! At this point, we’ve dealt with all of their doctors and I’m sure most of their staff. Everyone is very professional and compassionate. We have had a ton of questions and have had to get help on days that they were very busy and they still take the time to make sure every single question is answered and that we have what we need. I am very confident that we are now providing him the best level of care that we can. We are in the process of fully transitioning all of our animals to this clinic and looking forward to being a long time client :).

First visit exceded my expectations. The staff informed me of every little detail they were about to complete to my puppy. They made me feel part of their team. Also, the way the staff picked, dropped and talked to my puppy showed their true passion. THANK YOU!!!

Maricamp has been my vet for going on 4 years now. My young Malinois had to be seen for his annual vaccines and an ongoing allergy issue with his eye. He can be weary of new people and places, but the staff is amazingly understanding and willing to work with me to be sure he has a positive experience every time he is there. For a weary, skidding dog that is known as an “aggressive” breed to be given the opportunity to have a good experience at the vet is so refreshing and just not heard of these days. Thank you to the staff for all you do for all 4 of my pets.

Took my cat to Marricamp today for a recheck on a tail wound. The care that Simon received was excellent. The staff were courteous helpful and informed me of all that was happening. Today Yazmya was my tech and she was beyond excellent. The staff makes sure that the parent so to speak is comfortable with water and cleansing cloths and frequent checking while you await your pets care the doctor calls you and tells you everything and takes the time to talk to you one on one. Great place to take your pet.

Staff is very rude. Wait time is ridiculous.

I had to bring my Ex Wives dog and they were Understanding and Educational I knew what was needed and Why for her dog to get better Thanks To Maricamp AH.

I was a new client brought Grace in and they took great care of her. then today I brought in my new puppy sky. They took great care of her and then they went over everything with me. Yazmya @ MAH were awesome I would highly recommend this vet office.

We were traveling in the Ocala area when our senior dog became ill. Maricamp worked us in that day and took very good care of my pup. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and showed sincere concern. We were very pleased with the care provided and the price.

Great staff at first but over time you can see that politics and toxicity ruin the practice as a whole.

Maricamp Animal Hospital is amazing!!! I needed a Vet for my 4 month old kitty & they got me in the same day, maybe 2 hours later after I called. I was not even a previous customer & they got me right in & taken care of. I would reccomend this Vet to anyone with pets. They even sent a hand written card through the mail saying how much of a pleasure it was to meet Obie (my cat) & that they look forward to seeing us again. 10/10 best Vet I've been to.

I called Maricamp in an emergency after 2 misdiagnosises at my current(now former) vet clinic. My jack russell ruptured a disc. While on the phone the emergency became critical. They got Dudley in as quick as I got there. He was seen immediately and ended up requiring surgery. I was referred to a fantastic neurosurgeon. I cannot say enough great things about the entire staff at Maricamp. If it weren't for the staff, I am not sure Dudley would be alive. Thank you! The doctors, the vet techs EVERYOBODY!! They care. They are professional and knowledgeable. Did I say they care? I cannot imagine taking Dudley anywhere else.

I adopted a kitten (Midnight) over a month ago. I made his first wellness check up and shots with Maricamp Animal Hospital because I saw some AMAZING reviews. They were super friendly and answered all questions I had. They took great care of us. They truly care for your babies. A few days after the visit I received a call following up on how midnight is doing. And today I got a sweet handwritten letter in the mail which I wasn’t expecting so it was a nice surprise. I absolutely the love Maricamp family!

We are snowbirds and didn't know where to take our dog that had an issue. We read their reviews and thought this would be a good vet and we're glad we went there. They are the most caring and knowledgeable vet. Everyone there was so pleasant! Very clean office and very efficient. Highly recommend Maricamp animal hospital!

Some of the best people working here, we lost our baby last week and the staff was very compassionate. Anny and Yamy were very sweet and helpful in our last visit. I would recommend Maricamp Animal Hospital for those looking for a vet in Ocala!
