Great visit today. Dr. was very knowledgeable, soft spoken and gentle with my poochie. Tech was caring and helpful. Reception was friendly and quick.

Dont let Trish near your dog to groom...She knicked his foot his razor... Shaved his tail.when I asked her not to...Its uneven...Rushed and she did not bother to even trim on his ears which is essential to.prevent ear infections...Then she argued w me and stormed off...

This place was convenient since I live in North Port, but now however that has gone out the window. They no longer trim pets nails on the weekend. Also, on my very 1st visit my dog had an infection on her tail, they did clean up the area but gave her back to me without a cone around her neck. She ended up licking the wound which was not bandaged so it stayed infected and bled on me the entire drive home. Not impressed one bit. Guess I have to go back to Sarasota animal hospital for her needs.

First time with my new pup here. Wonderful animal-loving staff, good doctors mindful of budget concerns, while covering all bases for careful care of my doggie. Highly recommend this great place for your pets' needs.

Avoid this office!! Scammers! Doctor Frankowski is rude, unhelpful and very unprofessional. They will tell you what you want to hear,all they care about is the money! Dr. Frankowski refused to call me back when I requested a call from her several times! She gave me a fault pregnancy results for my dog, she charged me for ultrasound which I have never received! After I realized that my dog is not pregnant , I went to another doctor who has confirmed that in fact she was never pregnant! While trying to get ahold of dr.Frankowski she was ignoring all requests, and never sent an ultrasound because the "system is down "all the time . In fact its not that "system is down", its because she lied about pregnancy. This office is a scam ! I will report them everywhere where is possible! They lied about pregnancy, they charged me for ultrasound that was probably never taken since they knew shes not pregnant, they are refusing to return my money,they are refusing to provide medical records to the new office, they have lied and lied every step of the way. Please stay away from this office if you love ur pet and want to save ur money.

This practice is a joke. They are never on time, I’ve waited 1+ HOURS multiple times. They incorrectly make appointments and do nothing to fix it and so my pet has to suffer. I’m a small business owner and this is NOT how a practice should be run.

Heron Creek has been our vet for 8 years. They are compassionate, caring, and exams are thorough. They saved my little Rikki’s life several years ago. We see them every 6 months and they always know what’s needed and how to treat them. They make my babies feel very comfortable. The assistants and front desk are also kind and reliable. A very caring facility.

I've known Dr Fiore for 20 plus years, and there isn't a better veterinarian anywhere. She is straight forward, she always has your pet's best interests first, and she cares about your experience at the clinic. The staff at Heron Creek is amazing. The clinic is beautiful and very clean. I won't go anywhere else.

Stay far away from this place!

Please do not take your pets here if quality and affordable care is what you desire. My stepdad brought the family dog to this vet's office after he suffered a leg injury at home from running around the house. An X Ray was wanted to rule out a break in the leg and this disgusting place wanted to charge over $600 for a simple x-ray, pain mediation, and possible sedation for the x-ray. When I called for a price breakdown seeing as how this amount was outrageous, they said the x-ray itself was $350! Apparently they send the x-rays out to a radiologist because they do not read their own x-rays in-house, so part of the reason for the up charge. I take my dog to Southgate Animal Hospital in Sarasota where they charge $95 for a one view X Ray in $185 for a 2 view, while providing the best care of any vet clinic I have been to. This isn’t in any way a post to promote a different vet’s office, but to let other people know there are better options out there than this garbage establishment. There is no justification for a $350 x-ray. Once I brought up the fact that we will be taking our dog elsewhere because their prices are insane, they told my mom when she spoke to them next that they would actually do the x-rays and medication for almost $400 less and the vet would read the x-rays there. Amazing what can happen when you threaten to take away income from greedy scam artists. To top it all off, this vet office never sent over the x-rays they did to the Southgate clinic as we had requested, and it gets better. Heron Creek told my mother that there was no break in the leg and sent them home with pain medication and anti-inflammatories. When my mom followed up at Southgate and they did their own x-rays, the result showed something that even I could tell was very wrong, the elbow joint was broken and completely out of alignment. How the hell could Heron Creek miss this?! Send a dog home on a broken limb? So again, please, do not take your pets here. The doctors clearly do not know what they are doing, and only care about what’s in your wallet. Listed below is one of the xray views Southgate did where you can clearly see the joint is completely out, and Heron Creek completely missed it. If they even bothered to read the xray at all.

I have been taking my animals (dogs, cats) to Dr. Holt at Heron Creek for over 19 years and I absolutely love her and her kind manner. She knows what she is doing! She also performs alternative therapies such as acupuncture and laser therapies. I will never take my pets to any one else! She is a Charlotte/Sarasota County Gem!

Heron Creek Vet is incredible! Their staff was extremely kind and helpful when my dog was in need. They also handled her wonderfully as she is a rescue with a bad past and can be somewhat aggressive from time to time. Five stars for Heron Creek!!!!

Dr. Frankowski is very rude and unprofessional. She does not know how to handle dogs. She’ll give you a long speech about random dog issues and try to scare you into extra services that are unnecessary. She takes forever too. Plan on about a 2 hour appointment.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! I have been to several different vets in the area and none have come close to the caring nature and professionalism that Heron Creek offers. The staff is friendly and they get things done quickly and they genuinely care about the animals. Both my dogs will be going to this vet for all vet services and grooming services from here on out. I'm so disappointed. I called to schedule an ultrasound of the bladder. When I called to make the appointment they could absolutely take care of him. Ended up the vet was not trained to perform ultrasound. I had to complete over $450+ tests before the ultrasound could be performed. I currently go to a vet that was not able to perform ultrasound, but other testing done. I took off of work hoping to get an answer. I have no doubt they are great vets, but why lie about what was going to be performed? Just so sad.

horibble service took my rabbit in for matted fur. over Hurd vet telling tech this what happens when u don't take care of him. gave permission to put rabbit under to trim was most worried about is rear area. they didn't even take care of that area then shaved him while he was awake. and shaved area that were not really that matted a cut his skin and then charge 150 for a hack job and a a tech who never handle rabbits and was in there first week

Over the past 3+ years of experience with this biz, I’ve found Debbie who answers the phone to be one constant. She is friendly, professional and always helpful. I trust the doctors because they’ve never steered me wrong with my 4 dogs. Previous vet told us to stick with AAHA certif vets so that’s what we do. They stick to non stress unflinchingly. They’re more expensive that other places but they clearly put their profits toward good care and taking care of their employees.

Do not go to this vet they are the Absolute worst totally completely unprofessional they don’t care about your animal all they do is try to take money from you as much as they possibly can do treatments on your pets that don’t work stay away from them

Office lost or threw out my sick dogs lab samples, with the only response, “sorry I guess we were too busy to contact you”. I have in writing my communication asking them to confirm and get with me if needed and was ignored. The Doctors need to know how their office is run. Update: After speaking to one of the Doctors, she is now aware of the situation and she assured me they are working on it. I do love the Doctors and am giving them another try.

The staff is always willing to answer my question and give resources. They treat my doberman with kindness and respect.

Heron Creek Animal Hospital never disappoints. They managed to get us in around a time that was convenient for us, and then took care of our dog Callie's scratching problem. The vet was great. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about Dr. Holt. She cured my adopted dog and helped my other dog. She asks questions and listen intently. She is kind and patient; never rushes you out the door. Dr. Holt is truly a caring person and Vet. Heron is also a very nice facility. New and clean. I have to drive an hour to get there but it is well worth it!

Best veterinary experience ever. From Debbie at the front desk, Jennifer the vet tech, to Dr. Fiore... these ladies make you and your pet as comfortable as possible and put your fears at ease. Would highly recommend!!!!

Everyone at Heron Creek Animal Hospital was so kind and welcoming. My dog can be nervous going to new places, but they took great care of her at her annual check-up! This was our first time here, but we will definitely be back. The office is clean, calming, and beautiful - and they treated my pup like a princess. There is nothing more to ask for!
