We just adopted a sweet girl and we needed a veterinarian since we are new to the area. Island Animal Hospital was highly recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed. They promptly got us an appointment and we immediately felt comfortable with Dr T and his staff. They listened to our concerns, answered our questions, and took care of our new family member, Ruby. We look forward to them taking care of Ruby for a long time to come!!!

We chose Dr. T. and his team to care for our furbs when we moved to the area. I made the decision based on reviews, I must say they did not disappoint! They got us in and took care of everything from meds refill to flea medicine and heart worm checks. I highly recommend this team!

We were here on vacation when the dog had blood show up in her urine. We called a few places that had good reviews including Island Animal and Island was the only place that had any kind of opening. They squeezed us in for a Monday but called me Friday morning saying they had a cancellation and offered us the spot. We arrived for our appointment, the staff greeted us so sweetly we felt right at ease. We waited less than 2 minutes to go into exam room, the tech took all her vitals and a couple of minutes later Dr. T came in. He was so calm and reassuring we knew we were in good hands. He heard our story and examined her and told us she most likely had a UTI, gave us some antibiotics and arranged for a urinalysis. The exam, the medication and the urinalysis and we were only charged $130.00. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Excellent service ,very good with our dogs . I have a 17 year old dog and the vet has done wonders with bringing him back .

I have been going to the Island Animal Hospital since I had pets in middle school. I am now in my mid 20’s with three dogs and a cat of my own and I wouldn’t trust anyone more than I trust Dr. T, to take care of them. He does such an amazing job. He is interested in the animals well-being. Very knowledgeable in what he does. He has always been able to answer any kind of question I have had. I’ve had multiple animals neutered by him; never an issue afterwards. He’s very gentle, kind and overall a great person to take your pets to.

I have a older sickly rescue dog and Dr. T is a fantastic vet. He never gave up on us and was diligent on getting to the bottom of her symptoms. I am grateful that we found Island Animal Hospital and Dr. T! I highly recommend!

We were recommended to Dr. T from a dear friend after repeatedly not being able to get into an office when needed we had gone to for almost 19 years. We were very happy after our new patient visit. The staff is friendly, professional and caring. We are very happy to find a new vet for our fur babies.

Been taking my dog here for years, even after moving out of the Venice area. The staff is so nice and always take great care of my girl. The appointments are always super quick and I love that they send reminders when a service is due. :-)

All of the staff are extremely friendly and caring. They really seem to care about the animals. I had several calls checking on my Labradoodle after an unexpected surgery. I appreciated all the follow up and concern. By far the best vet I’ve ever been to!

I’m not a regular client, but I would like to give Dr. T and his staff 5 stars. We were on vacation in Venice and my 15 year old took a turn for the worst. I rushed her to Island Animal Hospital and they immediately took us in. After the examination, it was in my dog’s best interest to help her cross the rainbow bridge. They explained the process, answered our questions, gave us time, and offered support. The day after she passed I called the office asking if Dr. T can call me back (I was in shock and disbelief; wanted him to replay everything that happened that morning. Asked him if there was anything I could have done to save her? What did I miss? )He called me back and just let me vent and ask all the questions I had. Without hesitation, he answered and explained. I was a complete stranger, but he treated me like my dog was a lifelong patient.

Responded quickly and booked us right in. Cali LOVED it there so much I think she wanted to stay. Professional service, friendly and we trust our furry child to them, no hesitation! Looking forward to this relationship:)

Dr Teuscher and his staff are wonderful. He is caring , knowlegeable, friendly and professional and have taken GREAT care of our golden for years. He and his staffa are reliable and responsive to your needs. He saved Coopers life with lifesaving surgery in a kind compassionate and caring way. He and the staff are terrific. You will be glad he is caring for your pet!!! Can't say emough good things about htis practice and Dr T himself!!!!

Dr T is a really skilled and talentes surgeon as well as being a caring veterinarian.. He gave my little foster dog personal attention and I do not believe anyone else would have had such a wonderful result with all the issues this little 4lb Poodle had. His staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and as an experienced foster mom with a rescue I do not give praise lightly!

We moved to Florida from California, and we were looking for quality care for our puppies. Island Animal Hospital of Venice was just what we were looking for and more. The staff is very professional and responsive. They always make you feel as you are a part of their family. Dr.Teusher is a very knowledgeable and caring doc. He took care of our young puppies as well as our 16 yrs old Chihuahua. Our senior is feeling very comfortable and "young" again, after the doc put him on some special meds, good for his condition. We are very grateful, as we can see him "thrive" again and we are able to get a full night of sleep as well. Unfortunately, we recently moved away and can no longer attend this clinic. We only hope that we can find someone as good as Dr.T and his staff in our new Tampa home. Thank you for caring! We would recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone looking for a great vet.

Dr. Matt, Alisha, and the staff were caring and performed the eye surgery for our Coco with no complications. After surgery care was excellent as well. I recommend them to anyone who asks about a really good Vet.

The Vet is very knowledgeable. My dog has had many health problems and the Hospital did a great job taking care of her.

Everyone and everything is great. My critters love it too.
