I rescued a turtle that had been run over in the road, they gladly let me sign it over to them to do what ever was needed to help it to possibly survive. Not many vets will do that.

It's obvious that the people working here are crazy about animals. Would recommend West End to anyone who wants their pet well cared for ????

My boy requires frequent procedures for his dental disease. I had been taking him to UF, but was not feasible financially long-term. This vet office was recommended by a rabbit rescue and I am so glad I started coming here. My rabbit recovers so much easier and I know the doctor and his staff treat him right. I have the utmost faith in this office and I love that Dr.Schirmer is so kind and patient with us. Thanks for the great care, West End!

My fur family and I recently moved from out of state, so finding a new veterinarian was one of those things that you have to do, but hate doing…like finding a new doctor, hairdresser, mechanic etc. A friend suggested West End and I think the world of them! The vets are great to both my animals and to my husband and I. I am guessing sometimes us humans are harder than the animals. The prices are reasonable and they ask for your input on how your fur family incorporates into the rest of your life. When our two youngest got spayed, Dr. Dickerson called to tell me they were both fine immediately after the surgery and I got a follow up call the next day to make sure they were doing well and had no side effects. The entire team is amazing. If you are looking for a new vet, this is a great choice for you and the animal(s) that loves you.

This is the best Vet I have ever been to. The staff and doctors are extremely helpful, supportive and patient. They treat pets with love and have very good prices. I wouldn't want to take my pets anywhere else.

I'm not from around this area and was my first time here but my local vet has been closed for over 2 weeks and I had a 1 year and 8 month old ferret that had to be put to sleep due to her condition. They explained everything very well and clear. After she had passed they took her back and got her all wrapped up for me to burry her and they even made a special clay heart with her paw prints and her name for free of charge, which was super nice and cute. They was so gentle and understanding with her, they really do care about our fur babies! ????

There are no more caring folks for our pets. Maxx lived 17 years due to his stubborness and the WEAH crew's thoughtful care. Sad he had to be put down, but it was a dignified end for a much-loved member of our family.

The doctors and staff are so kind here! I took my rabbit in for a neutering last week and not only did they take great care of my bun, but the pick up and drop off process couldn’t have been any easier. So glad I chose this vet!

Good quality service, my dog seems to be treated with love, I do have different opinions with vet staff sometimes as they seem to rush into conclusions before having all the evidence together.

From Tampa and our dog was in very bad shape, we went to 4 vets in the Tampa/Brandon area and called 5 others. None of these offices would see him/make any time although they said it seemed urgent and to get him checked ASAP. Soo grateful for West End Animal Hospital bc although we had to drive the 2.5 hours, they were able to get him in that day and figure out what was wrong with him. He did a complete 180 from when we brought him in to when we left! You can tell this place and their employees really care about your pets well being and giving you all the info you need! I’ve been coming here since I moved to Gainesville seven years ago. All of the doctors are great; they are knowledgeable and caring. They don’t “talk down” to you and I always feel like they have my pet’s best interest in mind. Appointments are easy to schedule and I’ve always been able to get one when I need one. I do spend quite a bit of time at each appointment, but it’s because they take the time to listen to me. Thank you West End Animal Hospital!

I drive my rabbit 60 miles to receive specialized care from Dr. Schirmer, who is always helpful and kind.

We located this vet because we needed somebody to work with our Exotics my first baby raccoon and my first baby skunk. The vet staff and these vets are absolutely incredible even during this stupid pandemic the vet was super educational very friendly even came out and talked to us we like them so much we actually are using them now for our domestic it's worth the hour drive that's how good of that all the Vets are there that we've encountered along with vet assistants

West End is the best. I've been taking my pets there since 2004 (cats, sugar gliders, dog). They are knowledgeable and compassionate; they go above and beyond to care for all creatures, domestic and wild.

The best doctors and nicest staff. My ferret had cancer and our decision to put him down was so hard, but when we picked him up. He was wrapped beautifully with flowers on top and the paw print stone they make for your babies that have died is so special and shows their love and concern for all animals and their parents.

They made getting my bunny neutered during this pandemic an easy and flawless experience. I was instructed to park, call the office to tell them I've arrived, and someone would be out to take my animal in for me. They brought the paperwork to my car and took the bunny in. I never even had to get out of my car; it was "drive through veterinary service"! Same thing when I went to pick him up. He was brought out to me. They took my credit card in and brought it back out for me, as well as the discharge instructions. My visit each time took less than 10 minutes and they took good care of our bun.

Dr. Cottrell has been my vet for the past 23 years. I live near the stadium and will still travel across town, so that her and the staff of West End Animal Hospital can take care of my pets. I currently have 3 blue heelers and they don't mind going to the doctors for their checkup at all.
