Eastside Animal Clinic Naples, Florida

Today, Jan 18, 2022 as a client of Eastside Animal Clinic I was shocked and saddened by the lack of service and total disregard Dr Rachel Maik, DVM showed for my personal health and safety. I am immune compromised and as the Vet Tech asked me to enter the exam room with our dog Amico I informed her that I was immune compromised and asked her to put on a surgical mask and asked her to request that Dr Maik do the same. The Vet Tech stated she would be happy to but the doctor would be another matter and she would go and consult her. While I waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes as the Vet Tech and Vet had a discussion I heard office staff state "You know this is a political decision for her and she will not wear a mask." My personal health issues are not political and I never mentioned COVID or politics at all. The Vet Tech eventually came out to me, apologized and stated the Vet would not honor my health safety concerns but that they had other veterinarians on staff who would. I told her no thanks I no longer will patronize a Veterinary Clinic who has no medical regard for my health issues let alone I assume my dogs health and welfare. Please avoid this Veterinary Clinic if you value your pet and your own health and welfare.

We were new to Eastside Animal Clinic because we are wintering in Naples. We had a 13 year old Labrador that needed care. I can not say enough about how nice and caring the employees and Dr. Maik were. Our Lilly never got better and we felt it was time. We called on Wednesday 1/5/22 and they did a great job to get us in that night. Every step was very caring and compassionate. We want to thank the entire staff and Dr. Maik for making a difficult situation easier to deal with. Thank you, Blake and Sandy

This is my third dog I've had taken care of at Eastside. Always friendly, helpful, professional and competent. Love the docs and staff!

Very pleased! Everybody was extremely nice and professional. My cat was very anxious in the car, this was his first doctors visit in 2 years. He calm down the minute he enter the clinic thanks to the skilled nurse and doctor.

We are new to the area and needed to find a vet for our year old pup. We feel very lucky to have found Dr Angstrom and his staff at Eastside through the recommendations of our new neighbors. Our girl is a bit shy but quickly warmed up to everyone there. We used their boarding services, too (Matt & Dani took great care of her).

Took my puppy Trevi to be spayed. The staff was very helpful and made sure everything was ready. After she was spayed they were very concerned and made sure I knew what to do afterwards.

We heard such great reviews on Eastside animal clinic that we started using them for our cats and have been so happy so far! From the front of the house to the back everybody is so pleasant to deal with and extremely helpful! DEFINITELY recommend taking your fur babies here.

Last year My vet retired and I explored possibilities of a new veterinary clinic for my pet family. My first initial visit was impressive with Dr Johnson and found the staff very accommodating. Fast forward to a summer mishap accident with my Labrador falling down a flight of step stairs at the beach house. I asked to have him checked due to limping. No communication & some of the staff lacked empathy or compassion towards the pet owner. Well, the communication still is not there, hard to get appointments and forget about dropping off for a visit. Not professionally handled or full follow up in regards to findings or concerns etc. don’t bother trying any communication or expectations of resolutions because some of staff are rude. Get ready accept that is the way it is.... After today’s drop off with no communication and when I asked for information about the care, received attitude rather than compassion. It sent me a message saying there are better places to be than at Eastside Veterinary Clinic. Peace, Love & Happiness

Dr. Johnson is wonderful. He is kind and caring and takes his time with all our visits. He goes out of his way to make our animals healthy. He thoroughly explains everything. I highly recommend his office to everyone I know.

We recently relocated to Naples from Orlando and were on the hunt for a local vet for our pups. After some research we came across Eastside Animal Clinic and they were able to get us in without having to schedule too far out so that we could get established and get our monthly medications. The staff was super friendly when setting up the appointment. Our visit was smooth and problem free as well, everyone was so nice and the doctor was great with our pets. We also received a follow up call and email to ensure we were happy with our visit, which is always appreciated. We are happy to have found a new vet for our pups. Thank you.

Dr. Johnson and his terrific crew at Eastside Animal Clinic are simply the best. They love the animals, know them by name and take such great care. Dr. Johnson is in a league by himself with his explanations, vast knowledge and willingness to explain all procedures and utilizes the latest technology too. My two long-haired mini-dachshunds, Teddy and Tanner just returned from being neutered. The appointment was seamless and they were well prepared and prepared us well also. The boys are recovering nicely. We wouldn't go anywhere else as they are simply the best!

As always the staff interaction with me and with Minnie was exceptional. Stacy and the girls upfront and the surgical staff were superb. Dr. Johnson is super. He ahs always been there for our pets. We appreciate Eastside Animal Clinic more than imaginable.

Dr. Johnson is truly 5 stars! He truly takes the interest of your pet's health as a priority. My previous vet asked me to have my dogs teeth cleaned annually. As she is aging, it's become a concern for me and Dr. Johnson took that into consideration. My dog is my world and he made me feel like she was his world too.

I am so happy I found Eastside when I moved to the area. A friend had actually recommend another vet, but my gut told me to go here instead and I'm SO glad. They are sweet to my dog and she is always happy after visiting them. They can get pretty busy (doesn't surprise me since they're so great), but worth it for the kind of care that they provide.

We boarded our dog for a long weekend and as always they provided fantastic care of her and a report card of how she did while she was there. Thanks Dani for taking such good care of Gypsy!

We are part-time visitors to our home in Naples. Our two year old miniature poodle has been having GI / eating problems. Our vet in Wisconsin sent us medication, however the problem persisted. We were advised by Wisconsin friends to contact Dr. Johnson. We called for some advice, and was warmly reassured and offered some limited advice. On the day of our appointment we arrived after a few difficult days for our pet. Dr. Johnson entered the room, introduced himself and for the next half hour and more examined thoroughly and offered logical advice and a potential diagnosis. Following a blood test, his diagnosis was confirmed and a course of treatment was planned. This was transmitted to us in a personal phone call at 7:30PM, long after clinic hours had ended. Following his advice, our pet has returned to the active, loving, full of energy poodle we first met when we picked her up. We had tried advice from the breeder, our long time vet clinic back in Wisconsin including two vets up there, and Dr. Johnson was able to accurately and quickly treat our pet in a very friendly and professional manner. His empathy and professionalism was outstanding. His bedside manner was very reassuring. Thank you Dr. Johnson!

I took my sweet furry girl in. They ran every test imaginable. Charged me $600. Sent me home with expensive dog food and medication. Even though they said her belly was full. Sent her home, and 6 hours later she was dead in our arms. Suffocating from what was in her belly. The worst vet I have been to. Run don’t walk away!
