I have been using pet chalet for the past few years. Not only are the prices very reasonable, but the owner has always been very accommodating. I have a golden retriever and her cut is always done correctly. I am a very satisfied customer.

Don't do it!!! I brought my dogs in for BATH ONLY and repeatedly told her I did NOT want grooming. She understood this, because when I went to pick them up, she said "I did a little grooming anyway." So she completely disregarded my wishes and turned my adorable little terriers into hideous ragamuffins. See the before and after pictures attached. She even chopped off his eyelashes. The shave is so close that you can see his pink skin underneath. Outrageous!! Her only comment was "I'll mark that down for next time." Seriously?? As if I would ever go back!! In addition, note that the outside of the place is nothing but dirt. So once you pay for a bath, you'd better be prepared to carry your pet back to your car. While there, gun shots were going off next door at the gun shop. So if your dog is afraid of thunder, fireworks, or gun noise, this is not the place to leave them. Furious, just furious that she would take it upon herself to determine how and that she has the right to violate my animals and ignore my instructions. The proof is right here in the photos.

I've never had an issue with the service of Pet Chalet. I even am briefed if a flea or evidence of fleas is seen on my dog. I have a cocker spaniel. She can groom my dog multiple ways and does a good job on all. She is gentle with the animals and is upfront about any extra charges due to the condition (matting, etc.) of your pet. I'm satisfied every time.

On Tuesday of this week we had the Pet Chalet mobile grooming service do our maltese-peekapoo for the second time. I did not inspect the dog too closely as they had done an acceptable job the first time. My wife however noticed several skinned areas around his eyes and also a cut on the abdomen. On Thursday we took the dog for his yearly veternarian appointment. The vet thought the injuries to be serious enough that she prescribed both topical and oral antibiotics and oral steroids. We will not use this company again.
