My dog was having seizures and it was on a halloween/Sunday and as they were the closest, we decided to take our baby here to SVN. She suffered over 15 seizures within a few hours and SVN claimed she needed an MRI, and hospitalization. I’m friends with several veterinarians but they’re closed on Sundays so I had called for advice and long story short, they advised bloodwork, a spinal tap test and hospitalization. Two of them made it clear that she must be brain dead after so many seizures but since SVN told me she was stable, my vet friends recommended I paid for the hospitalization and spinal tap. She was hospitalized but SVN claimed that you can’t perform a spinal tap test without an MRI but i learned that’s not true at all. SVN had called me later on that night claiming that she had 1 seizure since the time I brought her in but was stable, eating, and drinking water so I felt content that my baby girl would be okay. The next morning I pick her up and SVN claimed she’s simply asleep due to the medication and she would wake up soon. Gave me prescriptions and everything. I took her to my friends clinic DOWN THE STREET and it turns out she was brain dead. Again, i know veterinarians so they can’t lie and expect me to believe she was stable. A dog doesn’t go brain in less than 2 minutes from taking her to this conniving clinic to one down the street owned by a close friend of mine. I called SVN right after I was told she Was brain dead, and they explained that they put her in a coma due to the amount of seizures and hoped that she would wake up eventually. Instead of simply telling me that it’s best to put my baby to sleep, they made me believe that she was feeling better and stole $2000. Please be aware of this as no one should have to deal with what I’ve been going through over the loss of my baby girl. They’re better manipulators than they are vets.

Updates on my dog's status were frequently provided and even though her illness was not neurologically caused, SEVN was able to narrow the cause thanks to their thorough testing. my dog was in excellent hands. the professionals are truly careful about the quality of their service, but of course when it comes to medical attention for pets, pet owners' hands are tied. the downside to SEVN is their inability to accommodate financing. I had no choice but to scrape together multiple thousands of dollars at the drop of the hat in order to ensure my dog could survive the night, and i find that unfair and advantageous. They labeled the lump sum as a "deposit" but it is not a deposit, it was payment in full in advance and REQUIRED at a time of panic. i think the administration of the office would do well to consider more flexibility for their patients because i was set back multiple thousands of dollars for her 1-night stay + examination and for it to not have even been an illness that SEVN could treat... just a sunk-cost paid at once. that is very difficult to pull off. again, i am thankful for their care, but there should be additional flexibility before requiring full payment. i do trust the care she was given and the constant updates. i believe these two things can be true at once.

While not the cheapest option in town, you get what you pay for and Dr. Wong and his team are the best in town. My dog recently had issues with his spine and I was a bit neurotic and had every question one can think of, they answered every single one with patience and clarity. Unlike several vets in Miami I never felt they rushed his diagnostic exams or did more than what they would do for their own pets. Very happy with the quality of care and attention the entire team gave my frenchie. Thank you!

This hospital was the reason my dog died one year ago. My dog was a patient here. My dog started limping, I took her in to be checked they even shaved her paw. They said it was muscular it was actually a puncture wound. The next day I saw blood they said it was because she was nibbling. I asked for her to be seen they said since her vet was on vacation she had to wait. During the weekend she was clearly deteriorating. I called , sent pictures . The nurse said that was the medication she was on she would be fine. I called again trusting they were the best group in Miami. The emergency physician again said I had to wait. That night she was lethargic I scooped her up and took her to another emergency hospital. By then they saw her puncture wound , she was riddled with infection. Her organs were in despair. They were able to keep her alive for another 2 weeks . By then her body could not overcome the infections . If only when I called the second and third time they would of cared enough to take a look . The emergency physician and nurse may have been tired with my pleading calls but they should have acknowledged my pleas after paying them over $7,000 . My mistake was that I trusted them and didn't know better. I will never dismiss my instinct again, and I will never again trust an animal hospital that was supposed to be the best. It took me over a year to say this because of the pain I endured over trusting them.

I can’t say enough about Southeast veterinary Neurologyst. My dog had a really bad episode of convulsions, I thought she wasn’t going to make. After a consult with the neurologist and change of medication I thank them???????? my dog its alive! The nurses and and the hole staff are so nice and attentive I cant even describe it. Every time I called with concerns they respond and make you have hope. I really appreciate what you did for us. Zoe and I really thank you. ❤️❤️❤️

My French bulldog Beastie was injured and needed surgery after the MRI results showed her spinal cord was being pinched by a disk. Through the entire process everyone at Southeast Veterinary Neurology was friendly, informative, and patient with all my questions. I would highly recommend this veterinary practice.

I have been comfortable with using SEVN for any and all neurology issues I have experienced (the past 20 years) with my rescues or my own fur babies. I have seen Dr. Wong & Dr. Dompa. The support staff are very thorough with the fact gathering and evaluation of the pet. They have the ability to do any tests to further help in the diagnosis process. I truly believe every time I have gone there, I feel like I have the answers I need to further care for my fur baby. They have many locations and staff Veterinarians and I have lots of confidence that all are wonderful.

Unfortunately, it was to late for my little Davy to be saved by these wonderful vets but not for lack of trying. I want to tell everyone that they did everything they could, and aside from that they are ALL so nice and compassionate and loving. Not one person in there treated us badly or talked to us with anything other then compassion. I am so grateful my furbaby was with loving people his last couple of hours and more then grateful for the wonderful amount of communication they offer, calling with updates repeatedly till the end. Thanks to the Neurologist himself who I was not expecting to see there past 12am with my little one. He was not only compassionate but honest with us through the whole situation. Called us thankfully middle of the night and kept trying till we answered just to get us there to see our little Davy before it was to late. Words can’t even explain how grateful I am for that!!! Thanks to everyone there I made it in time to send him off with pets and love and kisses, my heart is totally broken but the gratitude I have for everyone there is unmatched. Thank you so much for trying Everyone! It means the world to us. I wish every Veterinary hospital was like you all.

Never heard back from Dr. Wong even though we called few times and asked to speak to him (well I shouldn't say "back" as we never heard from him at all). Another neurologist called us to go thru the visit summary but we asked to speak to Dr. Wong as we had more questions about the diagnosis and he was the one who attended to our baby. I Was told by other patients parents that Dr. Wong has very bad bed side manner, very rude and short so that explains it. Could have been 0-1 star if not for Dr. Divita who was/is great. Update: to Dr. Wong, my pet name is BG.

I had a MRI for my dog Buddha on 6/16/21 and was told by the doctor himself that he would call me back within 24 hours to discuss the mass that was found on my dog’s spine. That call never happened. Today makes one week since my dog’s MRI and it’s a shame that as a customer, we paid them over $4,000 for the MRI and Have yet to hear back from the doctor. It’s very traumatizing for me to have to call EVERY SINGLE day worried about my dog to be told the doctor will call me back or he’s not in today or whatever answer except a discussion in a timely manner. I would not recommend a place that takes your money and doesn’t complete their service, especially for such a serious matter. Unacceptable.

I am so grateful and happy with the SEVN staff. After bringing my doggie Grace in due to her having several siezures, they quickly came up with her diagnosis, treatment plan which gave me peace of mind. Everyone ive spoken on the phone to (due to covid restrictions we can not go inside) is always friendly, informational and professional. Im glad I found them!!!

My dog was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease after his MRI and as scary as these past few weeks have been after finding out, Dr.Wong, and his team have been absolutely incredible in every aspect. From the medical care Harvey has been receiving to the follow up calls and amazing customer service from the girls at the front desk and prescription department. Everything has been so stress free and it is always a great experience when I have called in with a question or brought Harvey in. I’m especially thankful for the time Dr.Wong took to call us and answer all our questions, it really put us at ease as we had no clue what we were dealing with after Harvey’s diagnosis. The attention to detail and care for not only the pets but their owners is something I haven’t experienced too often at other vets but they have mastered it here. We have a long road ahead with Harvey’s treatment and I have to say I am glad it is with this office, they are truly amazing. Thank you!

There are not enough words to describe how grateful we are to the team at Southeast Veterinary Neurology, especially Dr. De Pompa who did everything in his power to help our baby girl, Gaia. After weeks of seeing her in pain and unable to walk, without any precise finding from her other doctors. A friend recommended SVN and within two days we had an appointment. After just observing her Dr. De Pompa found what was wrong, suggested the right studies, adjusted her medications, and after she was stable, they scheduled her for surgery which was exactly what she needed. 4 weeks later, our Boston Terrier (who another doctor suggested to put down) is now walking and living her best life. We’ll be eternally grateful to the SVN team, doctors, nurses, and staff. This team treated our puppy as their baby; while she was hospitalized they sent photos and texts twice a day, called every morning and afternoon with news about her progress and even today, they call every week to check on her recovery. I HIGHLY recommend SVN! ❤️

We brought our dog Casper to Dr. Wong & Dr. Nick & their team in November 2020 because he was suffering seizures. We had been to 2 vets who worked diligently to stem the seizures but we decided on SEV after they were highly recommended by both vets Casper has been treated for some form of epilepsy, but all I can tell you is this practice and their ENTIRE TEAM (I can't remember all the names!) are BEYOND PHENOMENAL! It's hard to find good reliable professionals in Miami, and SEV is a true Godsend: they are always there for us, always keep the best interests of the pet in mind and not how much they can charge you, and even reach out and call us to see how Casper is when they haven't heard from us in awhile. There are no words to express our affection and appreciation for Southeast Veterinary Neurology.

Everyone that works here is more than attentive and caring than any other Veterninary place I’ve ever known. I would not have felt more at home and loved for my fur baby anywhere else. Dr. Chris Adams went WAY above and beyond to help us through some challenges and he never hesitated to be available literally almost 24/7. His knowledge was spot on, meaning everything he diagnosed and advice was not only correct but easy to understand and manage. This place is the best in South Florida, we specifically went to Boyton Beach.

We are eternally grateful for Dr. Wong and his staff for saving our dogs life and doing a much needed neck surgery by fixing his slipped and ruptured disk due to trauma that happened by our dog’s primary care vet injuring him during a routine visit. Dr Wong and his staff were amazing and kept us up to date on our boys recovery throughout the entire 4 days of his stay at their facility. They have called us for weekly checkups to see how his progress after surgery has been and are quick to respond to us when we have questions. We highly recommend using them for your own pets neurology needs.

My experience in Veterinary Neurology was very emotional, and they made us feel confident that the puppy was with the best professionals. We thank you for your sympathy to see the pain of the puppy and of us, also the sincerity and the best explanation of what was happening with his health. Compassion and honesty at the time of the expense for their treatment and what they had done. Simply honest and compassionate professionals, the best.
