Keys Animal Hospital Marathon, Florida

We are so lucky to have Keys Animal Hospital in Marathon! My dog Deezel has been Dr. Dunn’s patient since he was 10 weeks old and now he is 2. Just a few weeks ago he was neutered and I had some concerns since he was bleeding more than he should have been. I called the emergency line at 9pm, left a voicemail and got a call back from Dr. Dunn right after. Not only was my dog taken back in at no extra cost but Dr. Dunn was texting me updates and also checking in on him everyday even with his busy schedule. I couldn’t be more grateful for Dr. Dunn’s care, knowledge and professionalism. Dr. Corbett has also been extremely helpful and professional!! Every time our puppy needs extra care, the staff is beyond helpful and accommodating! I don’t think I could ever trust a vet’s office as much as I trust Keys Animal Hospital!

I can't begin to explain the depth of our gratitude. On the Sunday before Christmas our little dog Obi became very I'll. Without hesitation Dr. Dunn told us to meet him in ten minutes at the office. Putting his personal life and Sunday afternoon aside to help my little buddy. A couple injections and 3 bottles of pills to give. Obi is at home resting comfortably after being in a lot of pain. If you are looking for a Vet that is also a great human being, this is where you go. Thank you Keys Animal Hospital.????????

The best! Not only is Dr. Dunn an exceptional veterinarian, he also cares for your pet as if they were part of his own family. Over the years we’ve had big dogs, little dogs and a few cats.. with issues ranging from minor to major emergencies. And the experience here has always been above and beyond what you would expect. Truly blessed to have Keys Animal Hospital on our little island! Amazing, we would never go anywhere else.

Beyond grateful to have Dr. Dunn care for my pup. You truly couldn't ask for anyone better. He has taken care of all of the animals in our family for 20+ years and every time I am blown away with just how great he is, from being so knowledgeable, accommodating, caring, and just able to explain everything so well. It's not just that he does the best job, which he does, he truly cares and that means so much when your animals are your family!

I would highly not recommend, they cancel your appointment as your there not professional at all.

The reseptionist is very rude. I was talking to her about my dog not getting better after taking her to them and she just hung up on me.

Sunday night - Memorial Day weekend, my 4 month old Mastiff puppy flung himself off a couch and landed hard and immediately started crying in pain and was unable to put any weight on his one leg. We called the Emergency Vet line and was told that we would need to take him to Miami - which was an 1.5 hour drive away. My neighbor recommended calling Keys Animal Hospital as she has had great experiences there in the past. We left a message on their emergency line and received a prompt call back from Dr Shavonne Corbet who agreed to meet us at the office ASAP. I cannot adequately express how relieved I was able to take my pup immediately to a vet 20 minutes away rather than make the drive to Miami. Dr. Corbet was professional, kind and obviously cares tremendously about her patients. She performed a through examination of the area in question and was able to determine that he had only sprained his leg. We were fortunate in both the result of his mishap and in our introduction to Dr. Corbet. We are part time residents of the Keys and have now found our Vet while in residence. Thank you Dr. Corbet for your caring professionalism.

My poor little dog was in a lot of pain and I was beside myself with worry. they quickly diagnosed and treated him.now he is right as rain. the staff were as courteous and gentle as could be.

Highly recommended. Today, February 14, 2020, we had a medical emergency with our Standard Poodle, Elvis. Being out-of-state vacationers, we had no knowledge of veterinary services available locally. Our cold call to the Keys Animal Hospital was handled by a wonderful receptionist who understood how frightened we were for our boy. She immediately took down basic patient information and made it possible for us to be seen as soon as we arrived. Elvis was taken to x-ray as soon as we arrived and less than an hour later Dr. Dunn came out to the waiting room to give me a diagnosis, update, and reviewed home treatment. I observed the staff interacting with other clients and their pets and every one of them was professional, friendly, kind, and enthusiastic about caring for those pets. It was a great experience and we are grateful for the care they gave Elvis, who is happy to be home and on the road to playing another game of frisbee. Highly recommended.

Zero stars. From repeatedly providing conflicting and false information to repeatedly getting basic information like name and gender wrong and to being treated unbelievably disrespectfully–overall, very unprofessional and uncaring. Save yourself, your companion and family, and look elsewhere.

Was absolutely amazing! My dog woke me up showing symptoms of a uti. Called and got an appointment same day. My pup was in and out with a diagnosis (it was a uti) and her antibiotics all in about 15mins!

I had an awful scare with my chihuahua Whiskey... I walked in this place and it was hands on FIRST and after and only after he was seen did we speak of payment left with his medication and without tears Im sure everyone can understand how much we love our furbabys and these angels are in this town to REALLY HELP. In a time of a pandemic my cat had an emergency on a Sunday, & I called a veterinarian emergency line where I was told I would have to take my cat to Miami for emergency treatment. Did I mention there is a pandemic?!? Well I finally decided to call a local veterinarian office in Marathon. My sister had to put her dog down as he was very old & the experience we had at Keys Animal hospital in Marathon was very moving. So I called the office & there was another number in case of an emergency. I called it, it was Dr. Dunn’s voice mail. I left my message & 15 minutes later he called me back. He told me to bring my cat to him & he would take care of him. He text me later in the day & kept me updated. Dr. Dunn & his staff are truly angels on earth! I thanked him & he told me, “it’s my job” ❤️ I recommend Keys Animal Hospital to anyone who has a pet! They are truly wonderful people!!

Wonderful people here! Had my girl spayed, and didn’t talk to the doctor that day. The doctor took the time to call ME personally and apologize for not talking to me the day of (they were super busy) and make sure that my dog was doing fine. Can’t ask for anything better than that.

Soooo ... not sure exactly what the issue was with Dr. Dunn not returning any of my messages for over a week regarding the treatment of my cat's serious sinus infection and our next course of action as the infection was not yet clear after …

This has been the absolute worst experience for me! My elderly dog had a cough. I called to make an appointment but Dr. Dunn had no openings so I accepted to see the woman vet (don't know how to spell her name) just to get him some relief. …

Dr. Dunn & his staff are absolutely exceptional ! The only vet service we trust with our mini zoo. Our dogs, cats, & bunnies all love Dr. Dunn. He's the pet whisperer.

Not good if you are a seasonal resident and need paperwork sent to another vet. Had to ask several times to get health history sent to another vet in NJ. And now I am still waiting for a script to be faxed to refill meds for my dog. Couldn’t wait any longer so my vet in NJ refilled it for me after I made an appointment for them to see my dog again. He was just there four weeks ago. Girl at front desk at Keys animal hospitals told me they are busy. Will call you back by the end of the day. That was yesterday.

I love Dr. Dunn. He truly cares about your pet. He greets them at their level not yours which is the way it should be. No playing around with fancy tests that mean nothing. He diagnosed my yellow lab within 5 mins when the other Marathon …

Our catahoula mix has had some bad vet experiences, but Dr. Dunn and the staff at Keys Animal Hospital were very patient with him and made him comfortable. They are always busy, but in the past year they have given us excellent care. Between annual shots, having to board him last minute to fly out for a funeral, and calling with questions when he ate 5! fish carcasses, we felt very comfortable with our choice of vet. I know they truly care about the animals in their care.

We were so happy that we found Keys Animal Hospital to board our dogs Twiggy and Maxx. Our dogs were well cared during their stay here a few weeks ago. Thank you to all the staff!!!

Can't say enough nice things about Dr. Dunn, Dr. Maddox and the entire staff at Keys Animal Hospital. Just got my dog back home from surgery and they were wonderful and incredibly caring. HIGHLY recommend.

We boarded our 2 dogs there while visiting the keys. The outside play area was questionable, as there were building materials laying on the ground, under an out building, but where a dog could certainly get into them. And when I asked if dogs were supervised when out there, they said no, but said they could supervise if we wanted. When we picked up our dogs, our great Dane had green goo coming out of one of his eyes and by the next day our basset did, as well. Luckily we have a wonderful vet at home who I called and they called in some drops for us while still in Florida. I had also given the kennel our dogs food in individual bags for each meal. Apparently they were not fed a meal, as we were given a bag back for each when we picked them up. While I don't think they were treated badly, I expected a little more from this establishment. We will not use them again.
